High-end Facials
« on: June 03, 2015, 05:03:13 pm »
Hi guys! I'm looking for a good facial center. I'm using the term "high-end" loosely here. Hindi ko naman gusto ng sobrang mahal but what I just mean is I'm willing to spend a little more money than usual basta maganda ang trabaho.

Some of the facials I tried are Belo (basic facial) and Dermclinic (acne facial with a doctor). Both were not satisfying. Pero mas disappointed ako sa Dermclinic kasi hindi talaga marunong yung doktor. Learned my lesson there: hindi dahil doktor ok na agad.

Any tips?

haha but I would never trust just an aesthetician with my face though..they dont really go into science and study skin per se, they just want the face to look good.. bahala na if dapat forever maintenance or nakakasira in the long run.Likewise sa derma, it's ideally about healthy skin and knowledge..not really skill..
Not generalizing not all aestheticians are bad, not all are good..similar to dermatologists.

OOT though, just food for thought.

When you say high end, how high of a budget are we talking about? Because for some, 1K is already high end.
but for others, 3-5k before it's considered as  high end treatment.

How about VMV? I'm thinking of trying it out since a lot are saying ok daw.

^I've tried the facials at Clarins, Rustans. No pricking involved just pure cleaning. Since maganda yung products nila, my skin comes out glowing after each treatment. The best yung eye treatment nila, nawawala talaga yung puffiness ng eyes ko.

^Thanks, mamasqueak!  Wala talaga pricking at all?  Gusto ko sana matanggal din blackheads.

Ive tried some commercial dermas and all I can say is parang sobrang minamadali ang mga service, the only one na talagang they take their time and mabusisi is SKEEN. They have a branch in Las Pinas and ATC. once youve been to SKEEN you will see the difference na sa service ng iba.

^^They don't do pricking. Siguro if regular ka nagpapa-facial with them baka mawala blackheads mo. I only go to them if I want to treat myself otherwise I get my monthly facial (with pricking) at Belo.

Facial Care Centre's the best in my books. They're more expensive than those mentioned above but I can extend my "facial-free" period to 1.5-2 months when I go to them religiously. I usually get lymphatic drainage treatments (LDT) and skin tone re-energizer (STR) from them when budget permits. :)

Gusto Lang Nila sige buy this products... kaya ako I always ask sino yun doctor today kapag hay sino doc ganun ayoko.

Thank you for the replies, girls! Just wondering if anyone has tried House of Obagi? Is it any good? Basic facial lang sana gusto ko, just for maintenance.

@minatay91: Hmm maybe at least 2,000 pesos just for the basic facial.

@arkicat: Thanks for the reco! I already have a regular dermatologist from St. Luke’s. Almost all her services are good kaya lang pag facial na yung mga pimples lang napiprick. I have lots of whiteheads at hindi lahat natatanggal niya so naisip ko baka mas bagay sa facial centers pag ganitong case.

@Senorita fifi: Sayang ang layo ko eh. Thanks though!

@manhattanite: Let us know how it goes please!

@wahine: I really want to go to FCC kaya lang they sell treatments by the package. Do you know of a facial center that has the same quality of service pero pwedeng per treatment basis lang?

@Filipinasadhart: Agree ako sayo! I hate Dermclinic!

^ speaking of Dermclinic, nadala ako sa promo nila for acne cure which is buy 2 get 1 treatment kaso yung doctor na nag-check ng face ko parang walang tinanggal kahit anong whiteheads though may nakita ako sa cheeks but hindi ini-extract... sa aivee clinic naman, once lang na si dr. aivee talaga ang nag-facial then the rest ay therapist na.. depende pa rin kung sino ang gagawa.. pero kung tutuusin mas ok ang facial nila kaysa dermclinic.. :(

May naka-try na ba ng Oxygeneo facial ni Dra. Aivee?  I read this blog post and it sounds promising:

How much kaya?

Try skin station, aside from a good quality of  services they are also very affordable. The one who also does the facials are medical graduates like nurses, pt.. The same with high end facial centers!

I would suggest go to Luminisce. It's in BGC. Very nice yung facial. Okay din sa Nisce Megamall but depends on the facialist. Belo Atrium so so lang ang facial. Skin station okay but not really like whoah.
