2015 Brides (Part 6)

hi meow lao li, i'll just share my experience. i'm an overseas bride so we started prepping about a little over a year from our wedding date. we sent out email save the dates with a link to our wedding website about a year before our wedding. then just this week, we sent out reminder messages through fb/emails to get everyone's mailing addresses so we can send out our invitations. this is about the 6th month mark. we'll have our invitations printed this june and mail them out around the end of june.
for my suppliers, i booked everyone really early because i'm overseas and i have a december wedding - we decided on all the suppliers by february this year.
i will have my gown measurements in august and my friend, who will be making the gown, said that she has enough time to complete it by december. but please bear in mind that she's based in the province.
we won't have fresh flowers at the wedding. i diy-ed all the bouquets out of ribbon. the church decors will be ribbons and jars. the tablescape at the reception will feature an individual cake for each table, a chalkboard sign, firefly jars, and old encyclopedia.
i read in knot.com that 6 months should be enough time to plan a wedding so i guess you can start booking right around june and july for your february wedding.
the only thing i will really give advice on is to send out your save the dates early, especially if you have overseas guests like us

Ganda ng gown mo belle! Pati yung color!!! 😊 regarding your bridesmaid dresses,anong kulay yun sis? Im leaning towards powder blue kasi or bluish grey. Ano kulay yung sayo? Ganda, di masakit sa mata ☺️

Bridesmaid gowns sis light grey in chiffon fabric lang. sis bzbee yes yan nga yung sinend ko sayo. You can copy the design.

yes, that's it sis twinxz! batangas based kasi si h2b tapos ako san mateo, rizal so we booked the most convenient for us both which is iisa ang location ng ceremony and reception. ok naman yung area, the only prob is yung picture taking after the ceremony..baka sa highway kami magpa-picture pag nagkataon..hahaha!

really sis? may venue pala don? i didn't know!

anyway, same tayo ng concern sis, i want everything to happen in 1 place na. been attending to several weddings na kasi and i feel sorry saming mga guests na need to travel pa from the church to reception. hulas ang mukap lalo na if its a lunch event.

It looked nice and bright just like how i want my photos to turnout too Sana lang di na nila kinapture yung mga nag yawn, haha sunod sunod pa! Will tell my photog not to include those shots in the slideshow na!

awww thanks sissies!! yes sis super stressed ako especially with guest list up to the day before the wedding. i even did the laundry that day hahaha! ang bride na walang beauty rest.

sis.. yung mga nag yawn sa photos magkakapatid pa yung mga yon, kaya when Gail played the slideshow sa reception it drew some laughter from the audience. hehe..

a friend of mine got metrophoto for their wedding and yung slideshow nila ang dami rin pinakitang yawning. parang there was a dedicated assistant photog whose job is only to take pictures of humihikab during the ceremony. it was okay din because people laughed.

Cute nga siguro if kids.. But our guest priest si Gerry Orbos and he will be at the reception. I just don't want him to see that there are sleepy / bored people nung ceremony! Dyahe sobra! Hahaha. Kung wala nang mapicturan the assistant kundi yun, bibigyan ko sya ng shot list. Lol. I understand if job nya to take pics of the guests pero konting isip naman diba, why would i wanna have and even show those kind of pics of my wedding.. esp with a VIP priest in the house.

oops! if your priest is coming then that's definitely a no-no. ewan ko ba that assistant, i just noticed her running around taking pictures of guests. maybe that is her task and they just happen to show the yawning pics lang - and that is both kids and adults. lol it was really funny though.

Samin naman the yawning photos were taken even before the ceremony started. Coz during the ceremony everyone was paying attention naman to the bishop.. but I have to admit, those are really funny shots.
