it will be more helpful sis if you can indicate a price range so it will be easier for the others to suggest a photographer.

sis, have you checked Foreveryday Photography? Gail, the owner is a Pat Dy apprentice and his shooting style is the same with Pat. His price is not as high as that of Nelwin, Pat & Metrophoto but he's really good. I won't be surprised if few years from now he'll be the one of the top notch wedding photographers. You can read the reviews here in female network and all are raves about how good he is (work and relationship with clients). I think his fans even created a thread here about Foreveryday Photography. hahaha!

Sis salamat pero di kaya ng budget mag splurge ng ganyan for photo.

Baka may mag suggest ng mid range lang, kahit prenup shoot lang na mala magazine/editorial style. Kahit hindi yung coverage.

Would you recommend hiring a second/backup photographer? Just wanted to add sana another dimension and more coverage sa wedding day. i'm just worried baka magkaron ng issues sa wedding day, any suggested photographer who already worked as a 2nd shooter before?

^Sis ask your main photographer first before hiring a backup hehe Kasi I noticed in my contract with photographer that we agree not to get a secondary photographer. Sometimes kasi pampagulo yung back-up photographer, and it becomes a hindrance sometimes for the main photographer. Imagine kasi main photographer already has 3 photographers shooting, then videographer has 5 in the team. So ang gulo gulo na minsan and agawan sila mag take ng shots. This is why we've decided to invest in only one but very good photographer so we do not need a backup.

I agree with sis chili113. I wanted to hire a back up photographer before. After the wedding,  I realised na tama lang na hindi na.. if you already hired a good photographer,  that's more than enough. Madami naman sila sa team. Kasi photo and video lang super dami na nila, nagbibigayan naman sila but I couldn't imagine na may back up pa na sisingit. Baka maka delay pa sa scheds kasi for sure hihingi yan ng chance para makakuha ng good shots. Plus, they'll add up to the expenses din, meals.. etc. But if you are willing to endure that all.. and really keen to get a back up.. let the main coordinator, photographer and videographer know para they can adjust.

Sis, you have to check first with your main photographer if they allow backups. Some teams kasi don't allow, and it's indicated in the contract. In my case, my P/V team allow back up photogs daw. Pero mas recommended nila na instead hiring a back up, pwede naman mag add ng add'l photog sa package pero coming from their team din. For me, a team composed of 3 photogs is enough na. Thanks sa input mga sis! We decided not to get a back-up photographer na, may restrictions nga sa contract thanks sa mga tips talaga. i'll just talk to the photographer to take lots and lots of photo. 3 man team naman sila hopefully covered lahat.

sa totoo lang may chosen p/v na ako kaso si h2b napaka picky talaga!!!O_O as in bawat photographer titignan niya at least 3 wedding albums,tapos 3 engagement albums tapos pag video naman yung mga SDEs and Save the Dates kikilatisin din niya. Don't get me wrong, i'm happy that he's helping ang hands on sa preps pero sa sobrang picky nya mauubusan na kami ng choices of p/v within our budget :\

sis fluffyfluff, pareho tayo, si fiance din ganyan when we were still scouting for p/v.. tawa ako ng tawa when I showed him pics ng Camzar kasi andaming sinabi na mali dun sa pics.. hahaha ok lang yan sis, at least you know he's cooperating and he wants something good to come out of your wedding.. photos and videos lang kasi ang matitira. How much is your budget para makapag suggest kami, super dami p/v suppliers

si fiance din, siya in-charge sa photo-video namen, pano hobby niya kase mag-film photography kaya ayun napaka-busisi din..nakailang bridal fair kame na yun ang target namen na hinahanap, tapos puro tingin ng albums at sde, prenups, save the date etc na pwede pang tingnan sa kanila..pero happy ako kase he's helping out sa wedding preps namen and alam kong gusto niya din maganda ang output ng mga pics at videos namen..

okay lang yan mga sis na you took time to magdecide on your photo/vid. At least pag nag book kayo, sure ng yun ang gusto nyo. Unlike us, na I think impulsive booking yung ginawa namin on our p/v. Panic mode kasi si h2b, feeling nya dapat magbook na kami e 1 yr to go pa naman at that time. So now, gusto ko palitan p/v team  Kasi halos wala ako makita recent photo works nila, ang nakikita ko is 2012 pa, and di ko din gusto yung style nila na ma post process. And the sde...  yun ang nagpa decide talaga sa kin na palitan sila. So scouting ulit ako, kaso mukhang mag over kami sa budget.

sis khalee, if it's any consolation, I also changed my videographer for the same reason. Hehe! Though we let go of the dp, right now I have no regrets. Who's your p/v team?

thanks sis juwie, we got smart shot last march sa bridal fair. At that time, wala ako makita reviews on them so I thought okay lang. Now may nabasa na ko pero very few reviews and so so lang lagi comments nila. I have to let go din half of our dp (according to the contract we can refund half if its 6 mos before the event). Pero I haven't talk to them yet. Ayaw pa ni h2b hangga't wala pa kami decision kung sino replace namin. Who's your videographer sis? I'm thinking of getting separate nalang din for photo and video.
