Dry Shampoo
« on: May 05, 2015, 03:52:00 pm »
Has anyone used a good Dry Shampoo that's sold locally? I tried the Tresemmé one that comes in a spray form but it still left my hair oily and sticky. I know that Snoe has one but I haven't tried their Dry Shampoo yet plus I'm not a fan of their products.

^^^Which brand yung nasa SnR? I think hindi masyado popular dito ang Dry Shampoos kasi we filipinos like bathing and shampooing our hair. I used to get mine from Sephora and I tried the Oscar Blandi brand and Ojon, the spray type but I really prefer the powdered ones kasi it lasts longer.

I've oily scalp and thinning hair though shampooing gets rid of the oils I think it's also making my hair thinner.

Sana Human Heart Nature would create one soon. Rice powder lang naman ang isa sa major components ng Dry Shampoo.

Nakalimutan ko yung brand pero yun lang yung dry shampoo dun. It helps din to volumnize your hair, apply it close to your roots. Then rub ng onte, parang messy hair, dont care ang peg hehe

Yung sa Dove is a little over 250. kaso lang sobrang perfume-y nya for me. Ito yung madaling mahanap though. Yung favorite ko is the green one (original) by Batiste.. smells like freshly washed hair lang din kasi... kaso lang i buy from abroad pa. Ang mahal kasi dito nasa 550 per can. Sa ibang bansa around 300 lang.

Sis, may dry shampoo ang LUSH. 2013 pa 'yung huling bili ko and it was 575php then. Okay naman siya pero nasa bote lang, hindi spray.

Korean brands like Etude House and Tony Moly have dry shampoos though I haven't tried them. Less than 500php ata.

Meron din dry shampoos si Make Up Pro pero as usual, wow ang markup. CareFreeShopper has Batiste at 550php a pop. Hmmm... hth! :D

Been using dove dry shampoo. Haven't tried any other brands but I think it does it's job. Very affordable and easy to find locally. Smell is a bit strong but it's okay.

^Clarifying shampoo is still shampoo that you lather. The process of lathering the hair makes falling hair worse kaya nga ang advise is to shampoo a few times a week lang but since mainit satin and we love bathing we really can't help it.

Dry shampoo is a powder that absorbs oil, neutralizes odors and gives body to thinning hair minus water and the agitating action of the fingers lathering the "shampoo" on the scalp.

Not true. I use human nature clarifying shampoo every other day, and it manages my hair fall and dandruff problem. I realized na yun hair fall ko dahil sa mga shampoo and conditioner na may silicones, it weighs hair down and seal in moisture kaya nag ha hair fall. Not all clarifying shampoos are created equal. True enough that the purpose of clarifying shampoo is to lather and remove all build ups, but it doesn't mean just because it lathers, it makes falling hair worse.

Most of the reasons why it's not recommended to use clarifying shampoo everyday because it will make your scalp dry since it strips off all dirt including the moisture/oil that your scalp naturally produces. That's why it's imperative to use a conditioner after using a clarifying shampoo.

^What works for you may not work for everyone else plus the topic is Dry Shampoo. If I were looking for a clarifying shampoo I would have searched the thread and I would have easily found one.

Did your reply answer the question that I posted:

-Where to find a good dry shampoo locally?

NO

Go post on the Shampoo and Conditioner thread instead.

Exactly, that's the point. What works for me my not work for the others, and vice versa. It does not have the same effect with everybody else. Kaya sabi ko na it doesn't mean just because clarifying  shampoos lather, it makes falling hair worse. Kasi hindi nga po hindi po ito pwedeng gawing general statement that will be true for everybody.

About the topic, I'm so sorry I misunderstood your post when you said you were looking for a "dry" shampoo. I thought what you meant was a shampoo that is dry to the scalp. So sorry and I humbly ask your forgiveness

I only wash my hair every other day and also during the days when I have intense workout. I've tried several brands na like Dove, Aveeno and Tresemme but I am not satisfied with the results. I've yet to try Batiste and hope this one will work na.

Based on my experience hindi maganda ang aerosol na dry shampoo. Super bilis maubos minsan nagbabara pa yung nozzle. Mas maganda yung powder na binubudbod sa hair lol Super tagal maubos ;-)

Tried Etude House OMG! Dry Shampoo before and it really works if your hair is already oily or greasy and you want it to look fresh again. Great substitute if you're lazy to wash your hair or already late for an appointment lol The downside? It doesn't lasts very long and too pricey for me.

I just use baby powder instead for some quick fix :)
