^corpse_bride Hi! Chinese wedding ka pala. Here are the coordinators of really good chinese weddings I have personally seen:

- Christine Ong-Te (wanted her, couldnt afford her hehe)
- Kutchie Zaldarriaga (seen in 3 weddings & counting!)
- Jenny Lim (recommended by high-end friends hehe)
- Rita Neri (saw this in a super grand non-chinese wedding parang ok din; team responded promptly. Pero lately may bad reviews--backread nalang)

Hope this helps!

Let's just say taste is subjective, different choices for different needs. Personally if there are means to get high end supplier why not. There's nothing wrong also in getting other ones lesser it all depends if effective and on the couple's budget. After all, what really matters is the marriage after the wedding :)

I so agree! There is no need to insist one's preference, of course a reco is at the end of the day just a reco, which other couples may or may not follow. Some of us like the really good ones that just happen to be expensive, some would rather get huge savings, bang for the buck. Nothing wrong with either. At the end of the day we're all here bec we're helping each other find the suppliers that suit us best! So take the recos as a tip lang instead of forcing arguments about who is best. :)

Waaaaaaah! I want Christine Ong- Te too but too pricey. Jenny Lim is expensive as well.

I followed your advice sparklingjewel! I will opt for Turnover Package ni Kutchie instead will save me some budget for my stylist! But how will you request for TEAM A? And I'm getting plus RSVP too :) 5K haha!

Sis awesomecake, i'm also an imbitado bride but next year din wedding. they were the coordinator at my friends wedding in tagaytay, and i was really impressed how the wedding went from start to finish. Plus ayie was the host.:) Thus when me and fiance decided to get married i first booked imbitado even before the church and reception venue. Ayie is very responsive and gives a lot of good suggestions.

Hehe same here sis di ko na kaya si COTE kahit ok sila parang too much na eh! Lol alam mo i approached Kutchie first kasi sya cheapest among the high-end coordinators, which i resorted to when the midrange ones i met (3) didnt pass. You only get her Team A if you are the first to book for your date--sayo sya pupunta. Make sure its reflected in your contract like mine :)

Yep! You've recommended Kutchie nga sa Chinese thread. Really considering her since nakakatawa rate ni Rita Neri for OTD. May konting lapse lang sa time frame yung reception na nakita ko with her. But pwede naman yun maayos. Wait.. Last seen wedding mo ba with her this weekend lang? Haha

A friend of mine got Christine Ong - Te. Will observe her wedding but too much nga for OTD. 50k max willing to spend si H2B

Also short listed La Belle Fete coz of Amante Fleurs. They've done na kasi the exact theme we want but dagdag-bawas lang with decors & flowers.

Just remembered my sis recently attended a 3million-php worth na wedding sa isang exclusive beach resort with christine as the otd... nabwisit lang sila.. kasi bride kept on advertising 3m yung kasal nya but she wasn't able to provide kahit vans sa guests or accommodation. they had to drive for nine hours. nagutom din daw sila so they ate jollibee after the reception. sad lang. okay naman daw si christine as otd, but napakadami daw fail sa kasal and di na daw kontrolado ng coordinator (weather, food, travel and waiting time).

^^ COTE was my brother's OTD and ok naman sila, but for the price that they paid her feel ko not enough. Her team was super nice and accommodating, Christine was very hands on and you can see that she was in control pero sana lang mas balance yung pag asikaso nila. Halos puro si bride lang inaasikaso, I have to remind one of the PA's na no one was assisting the groom bago pa may pumunta doon. Pero aside doon, ok naman sila :)

Hi sis dcdpane.. pasensya na ha, I know you are just voicing off the rant of your sister, makiki comment lang.  I just wanted to know, is your sister a very very close friend or very close relAtive of the bride?

The reason I am asking is because for out of town weddings, irregardless of how expensive, it is not the bride's responsibility to book accomodations for guests unless entourage, immediate relative, or very very close friend.  But she can ask the accomodations to give discounts, if applicable to guests of hers, should they decide to rent accomodations.  But it was quite unthoughtful of her to not provide transportation, not from manila to the venue, but at least dun sa pinakamalapit na dropoff point to the venue especially kung paiskinita.  ☺☺☺ I am also a destination wedding and we are staying 3 days 2 nights. For those days, I am only paying for my hubby's and my immediate family, as well as my closest entourage members and my closest family members. Others ,whom we have invited, it will be their discretion if they want to attend. If so, they will have to book their transpo and /or their accomodations.  That is why we have RSVP's - so the bride and groom will have a rough estimate how many are coming.  :) peace tayo ha. 😊😊😊

^^ I agree with sis bonzaigirl. I forgot sa unang reply ko tanungin, regarding the vans and accommodation was it entrusted ba kila Christine or napag usapan ba nila na coordinator ang mamamahala doon or something? Kasi, during my SIL2b na wedding, destination din sya pero regarding accommodation and travel, kami yung nag asikaso talaga and not the coordinator.  Share ko lang :)

yep, i understand sis. :) she's the maid of honor. haha! out of town din naman ako though tagaytay lang and i plan to provide a list of accommodations and hopefully get discounts for my guests. i also plan to hire a van for those na walang cars, though majority mayroon naman. it's just for me, insensitive for the bride to broadcast to everyone na 3million pesos yung ginastos nya and di man lang nya naisip yung comfort ng guests nya. i would have spent that 3 million wiser siguro given the money. but of course, it's her money, she can do anything with it. ang sad lang na hindi dumapo sa isip nya yung transpo or accommodation for her entourage.

kaya ko ito nashare kasi naalala ko christine daw yung coordinator ng bride. i dunno if OTD lang or full. siguro OTD lang kaya di nila nadiscuss maigi yung mga other factors like yun nga, comfy ng guests. hindi siguro sya nabigyan ng pieces of advice. and ayun nga, ang dami daw glitch but out of christine's power na. ang pro naman daw kay christine and her team is they really dressed well.

Wow really? Shocking to hear that especially Christine's rate is pricey. Oh well I'm glad then that I chose Kutchie for her turnover.

sis!! i panicked. haha i have nothing against christine. :) my sis, who was MOH sa wedding, applauded her team for dressing professionally and all, but ayun nga out of any OTD coord team's control na yung ibang factors. hehe! like weather etc. kahit siguro gaano kagaling yung OTD if si mother nature kalaban, wala magagawa. but yung long waiting time from ceremony to program sana nagawan din nila ng paraan.  or at least may plan B na nakaready. but ayun nga, at the end of the day, kwento lang ito ng sis ko na MOH sa wedding hehe!

sis COTE din yung reception I attended na ang announced sa invitation na reception is 6:30 pero 8:45 pa kami pinakain. Grabe talaga yun. Super gutom na kami since 4:30 pa nag end yung Christian ceremony which was more than 3 hrs by the way and the couple only gave mamon and water after. Chinese wedding kasi so daming ceremonyas. Anyway lauriat yung dinner so i think they had to wait ma-fill most tables before serving the food otherwise malamig na for the late guests. Andami pang nauna, yung grand entrance ng couple, first dance, prenup video, etc before serving dinner. Which is fine. I wish though they had considered the time...na pag 7:30pm na late start lang pakainin na muna guests. It was really way past dinnertime eh. But i saw her team moving around, mukhang professional, well-dressed, alam ano gagawin not like the others na itsura palang parang alam mo na na walang kwenta.
They were my 2nd choice in coordinators but i went with the cheapest high end one i could find kasi mahal din ha.

tutal napapakwento na rin naman ako. this one was a wedding i was a bridesmaid for. "tey" or "tei" yung name nung leader ng OTD coord. florist at stylist din daw sya and ka-tie-up sya ng Tamayo's. But sila mismo hindi. Siguro yung leader oks, but the other team members super nope. Nakakaloka kasi sitting pretty yung 2 out of 6 sa bridal room. wala na maupuan yung ibang bridesmaids pero sila secured sa upuan nila. which is okay. kasi diba nga, dapat tayong maging humane. they need seats too even as OTD coord team members. but eto yung malupit:

1) binulungan ako nung isa sa 2 nakaupo "ang tagal naman ng pagkain, no?" (pertaining to prep food habang minemake up-an si bride at ento.
3) yung isa tinanong ako: "may ballpen ka?" haha, are you kidding me?

Hello everyone...

I just want to ask if someone got Kutchie Zalderriaga of Getting Married as their TURNOVER coordinator?

Can you ask and inquire anytime the moment you sign the contract? Like suppliers contact details, rates, preferred suppliers. Or the 2 months meeting lang pwede mag ask and make kulit? Please enlighten me. I don't want to get full coordination since its 50K more than my budget. Help!

^Normally for a turnover/OTD package you can consult the coordinator any time after booking re supplier recommendations, etiquette, and other wedding related issues. However the canvassing and booking of suppliers has to be done by you, unless you get a full coordination package.

Thank you Chili. I can't believe planning and budgeting at the same time could be very daunting. But I'll try to enjoy as well. I'm shocked at the rates of suppliers nowadays haha

dcpdane: hehe funny yung kwento mo sis! =) Nako super particular ako sa itsura ng coordinators and ng buong team nila hahaha That was one of my main deciding factors! Im picky with the coordinator's outfits and how well groomed and presentable the entire team looks! I don't like uniforms that look so casual.

Also, next issue ko is how the team members talk. I don't like team members who can't speak proper English, or speak informally na pa "chummy" to guests. I want them to be formal and businesslike.

Hello everyone...

Hi sis if i remember correctly Kutchie calls her OTD "Turnover" coordination right? Then that is what I got. You can sometimes consult/ [textspeak!] her secretaries for questions or supplier referrals and they respond naman quickly. There was one time i contacted Kutchie directly and she also responded naman although our little chat was cut short by her saying na magmeet nalang kami in October so she can help me decide. I think fair lang if ever for them since October pa naman talaga sila dapat papasok hehe based on what I paid for na package.
