Sis barbeecue, I'm not sure kasi kung gaano ka basic yung basic lights nila eh evening din ang reception mo diba? May band ka ba and how many pax ang target guests?

Parehas tayo sis na #1 requirement ang aircon sa pag book ng Church and venue. Haha! Hence the CTK + GG combo.

Apir tayo jan! Non-nego namin ng fiance ko ang aircon dahil parehas kaming pawisin. Ayaw namin na haggard kami sa wedding.

sino hmua nyo sis juwie and barbeecue? Kelan nga pala wedding nyo?

Mag-ocular kami sa GG sa uwi ko sa july. Gusto ko kasi makita ng may set-up and para makita ko ano difference ng naka upgrade ang lights. If ever mag-upgrade kami, di na kami kuha sa labas para 18k lang babayaran sa GG.

Sis i got ish sison for my hmua. Mabusisi siya sa eye makeup and i like her style. On her page, she posts din paintings na gawa niya and maganda work niya. I think that shows na artist talaga siya.

Feb 2016 ako sis, ikaw kelan? Hindi ata pwede mag-ocular sa glass garden while there's an ongoing wedding? I think ha. During setup lang ata. I've attended na a wedding at glass garden nun and hindi sila nagpa-upgrade ng lights. Maganda naman   actually hindi ko masyado napansin kasi hindi pa ko engaged nun so malayo pa sa isip ko wedding planning hehe

Sis rejectkrew charges 10k for lights (no band setup) so if 18k budget mo, pasok sila sa budget mo. Maganda output nila sa glass garden. I booked them na (they were recommended by my emcee) pero pinag-iisipan ko if i-cancel ko pa booking kasi i didnt know may 8k electrical charge. Grr. Im still annoyed.

June 5, 2016 ako sis. Sa CTK nga, nakailang balik fiance ko kasi sa SG ako nagwowork. tapos may mga need pa na endorsement letter from chancery of cubao dahil ofw ako. plus madami pang additional requirements na hinihingi from here. Pero since non-nego namin ang airconditioned na church, sunod nalang kami sa lahat ng requirements.

Regarding ocular, during set up nga lang pwede magpunta. Parang ayoko na din kasi mag-upgrade kasi iniisip ko if mapapansin pa ba ng guests yun or hindi. ayoko na din kasi lumagpas sa budget. nabibigla nga ako pag nalalaman ko ilang ang members ng P/V team. Isip ko dagdag crew meals. hahaha!

BTW, san nga pala ang Hotel preps nyo sis juwie and barbeecue? I heard strict na daw sa Eastwood Richmonde. My photographer suggested Oakwood.

^sis nag bblow up talaga ang budget sa mga wants natin. Kaya important to stick within your budget and i-assess if reasonable and beneficial ba yung pag dagdag ng ganto at ganyang stuff.

We booked Oakwood Premier sis. I've been there several times and their suites are a good place to hold wedding preps. It's spacious and modern kasi and they are more lenient with their policies, like you can bring outside food and there's no limit to the number of people inside the room (as long as they're not causing any disturbance to other guests). Edsa Shang is also good because unlike Oakwood, there are more scenic spots for pictorials. It's more expensive though and the rooms are not as spacious and it's kinda dated. You can also check out Marco Polo, haven't been there personally so I can't say much about the place ☺

Let me jump in on the conversation. Not a GG bride, but we got married in CTK. We had our preps in Oakwood. We weren't able to check rooms in Eastwood because they told us that none were available at the time we checked, but others here said that ERH hardly allows prospective clients to check the rooms. You can check out reviews here. Sis belle_v2g had her preps there recently

Oakwood has nice and spacious rooms. Space is really important because P/V and coordination teams will be there. Super dami tao in the rooms all at once! I agree with juwie about the view though, but if the photographer is good, it won't matter much. We only used the windows for the lighting, but didn't have any photos with any view as background. Haha! If you get membership, rooms become more affordable and sulit!

Sali na rin ako ha. Hihi. I booked with Oakwood na rin, our wedding will be on Feb 2016 and we are guaranteed na with the rooms. I got the membership for 2,998 which comes with vouchers. The rooms are really affordable, just what sis @ caleeice said. We did an ocular before booking and we are happy with what we saw. Spacious rooms, clean and new furnitures, with complete kitchen appliances and utensils . 2-bedroom suite is 132 sq.m. wide. It's really a steal for us b2b's.  If you need their current rates, just post your email here or send me a pm.

Hello Everyone!

Good day. I've been a lurker here for sometime and finally decided to register.
I'm having doubts of foregoing with my original wedding date as my brother just passed away last week.
Biglaan kasi yung death ng brother ko. I'm supposed to be an April 2016 bride. H2B and I already reserved our church and reception venues as well as paid initial/reservation fee for our all-in wedding package c/o Bella Creative, announcement na lang ng engagement ang kulang. During my brother's wake/viewing, I informed most of the "elders" sa family ko, most of them said na ituloy na ang wedding on April 2016 since "Lipat-Taon" na naman daw,even my Mom, pero I want kasi to wait for the "Babang-luksa".
Any advise mga sis?

Hello raspberi! I am so so sorry to hear about the passing of your brother. My condolences to you =( =(

I suppose sis in this case, it will really depend on how you truly feel, whether you are ready or not to get married next year after going through such a loss in the family.

But if you decide to push through with your wedding next year, perhaps you might want to postpone the wedding to after the 1-year mark of your brother's passing? I am sure your suppliers will be willing to move the date especially since you have a very valid reason.

However, whether you wish to keep the original date or to postpone the wedding will really be up to you and how your family feels about it.

sis raspberi, i am so sorry for your loss:( and i agree with sis Chili, depende talaga yun kung ano ang nafefeel nyo at ng karamihan sa family nyo about sa wedding nyo. I can relate to you kasi my [textspeak!] passed away last March but h2b's family decided to continue with our Sep 2015 wedding. Ayaw ng family ko, dapat imove daw sa 2016 but sabi naman ng family nila, alam naman daw ni tatay lahat ng plans before he passed away and magiging happy daw si tatay if ituloy namin. Kaya ayun, nasa sainyo pa din yung desisyon sis:)

hi sis raspberi so sorrry to hear about your brother's passing. My h2b's mom passed away last march but sabi since we got naman her blessing with the wedding so we'll push through with our jan 2016 date. I'm not so sure about pamahiin. Yung iba kasi ok na with lipat taon and sa iba naman yung babang luksa. But it really depends if you think you are ready to stick with your original date. Don't think too much about pamahiin. And if you feel that your brother would have wanted you to still go with your original date. Medyo yun naman yung nafeel namin and we know she (future MIL) would have wanted to be there also.

sis brendaumnas alam mo ako rin pinag-iisipan ko if i-drop ko ba upgraded lights and sounds. i talked to h2b about it and he said since PM wedding kami, important daw lights to set the mood. mas mapapansin daw mood lights kesa sa detailed styling if gabi yung wedding. so mukhang event styling nalang ang tatanggalin ko (even if i was REALLY looking forward to upgraded styling )

sis juwie and sis brendaumnas diba non-nego talaga a/c! mahirap maging happy bride kung naiinitan tayo hahaha

thanks for the tip re: oakwood sis juwie and sis caleeice! i'll check them out. i was eyeing eastwood richmonde and i even pmed sis belle about it. sinabihan nga lang ako ng rep ng p/v ko na strict daw sila dun regarding # of people per room kaya mejo hesitant pa ko about it. but i like the fact na maraming restos na malapit so i can give nalang my suppliers and family members vouchers for the nearby restos. i want din sana edsa shang kasi i'd love to have a buffet breakfast at heat on the morning of the wedding and after din but their rates start at 7k for 1 room with a queen bed. parang yikes yung price. but if their rooms are dated and small baka hassle sa space come wedding day.

sis bwatinella same month tayo. may hotel ka na for preps? omg i havent even started looking yet! am i late na ba for having no hotel for preps at 8 months before the wedding date? i think i need to start taking the hunt seriously na. i'll pm you my email sis for their rates

really sorry for your loss sis raspberi. my condolences to you and your family i agree with sis chili1113 yannuh & rightback, it depends lahat yan sayo if you think you're emotionally ready to prep for a wedding and to celebrate your union with your h2b despite your brother's passing. if sa tingin mo you'll be emotionally stable for it, then go. but if not, your suppliers and the rest of your family will understand naman if you move to later date. maybe talk to your suppliers nalang para you won't incur fees?

April 8, 2016 ang aming "original" wedding date.

Pinaka-unang na book namin is yung church. Reservation fee pa lang naman, kasi sa January 2016 na raw namin babayaran in full kasabay sa pagpasa ng requirements.

Next namin na book is the reception venue. Ang requirement kasi is 50% DP to book/reserve the date so done na un. March 8, 2016 na namin babalikan yung venue for the full payment.

Last namin na book is the Wedding Coordinator/Planner kasi may All-in wedding package naman na ncluded don, from Catering & Venue Styling, Gowns/Suits, P/V pati Wedding rings. Kaso balak ni H2B magpaupgrade di daw nya gusto ang designs ng rings na included sa package namin e.

This Sunday, June 28th, ang 2nd meeting namin sa Wedding Planner. Pinagpapasa na nya kami ng designs for the wedding cake plus 15 songs for the reception.

sis barbeecue don't worry too much about sa hotel. Kami 7 months to go and we are yet to book our hotel pa hihi. With Richmonde in eastwood, parang ang sikip? Not so sure ha kasi siksikan kami nung preps ng friend ko but I'm not sure if that was their biggest room. They say Oakwood has big rooms so better if you check it out. Both hotels naman are just a few minutes away from CTK anyway.
