good to hear that your caterer did so well Ms. V! congrats!

our caterer just contacted us for final food tasting and detailing.
We asked her if we can set schedule on weekends. however, full na all weekends nia for APRIL.
Is 2nd week of May too late for July event?

Can you give me tips girls on what should be the important things we need to emphasize with our AE aside form our food and theme?

thanks in advance.

hi sis marjin!

di naman sya too late kase kame july wedding din and we had our final FT mga last week ng may so halos same lang sa inyo. :)
other things to take note of would be yung seat plan, table settings, buffet set-up, the decors na gagamitin especially kung sila din in-charge sa reception styling.
let them know kung sino ang in-charge sa decision-making during the wedding like if kamag-anak ba or coordinator and any special requests like if may kids or crew meal kayo or if you have guests with specific needs.
if you have a coordinator and available sya, maganda siguro na isama nyo sya sa final FT para pwede na nya ma-discuss yung flow ng program, start of mealtime, etc. :)

Hi sissies! Any recent reviews about Purpledish? I've read some negative comments here but those were happened last year pa. Had our FT just recently and we loved the food actually. We're considering them already but a bit worried pa about the bad feedbacks on their services :( hope anyone can enlighten us. they gave us good package and discounts kasi. They've also just implemented 1 wedding na lang per day to preserve the quality daw, I guess that's how they've addressed the mistakes they've done in the past. tia :)

Hi sissies. :) do you know any caterer na pwede for 30-50pax only? Planning a very intimate beach wedding in laiya or nasugbu. Hope you could help me. Tia! :)

hi mga sis! :) I dont know if it's the right thread kasi i don't know if I need to get a dessert bar from my cake supplier. If sulit ba or enough na ang 2 desserts (panna cotta and buko salad) from my cater Passion Cooks.
Inofferan kasi ako ng cake supplier ng 6 choice of any dessert sa menu nila for 140/head.
From my cake supplier kuha ako ng cake na 4 layers all edible na iseserve ko sa 150 guest as  additional dessert. Cute to have a dessert bar pero cyempre dagdag gastos din ayoko masayang kaya need ko sana suggestion nyo :)
Thankyou :)

^actually added attraction din talaga for the guests yung desert bar especially sa mga kids.
yung AE ko mabait i ask her if I can add nalang some desserts and pumayag naman siya, she's willing to let me borrow din a few dessert trays. I'm thinking of adding custom made cookies(with our monogram), blueberry and strawberry tarts.

If gawin ko nalang kaya for 75 pax lang ? hehe!

Yes maganda nga sis na my dessert table yun pero hindi ko makapagdecide kasi yun nga from cater kumuha lang ako ng 2 desserts I dont know if enough na yun.

Sharing my feedback and review for Hizon's Catering for our wedding last Feb 21  ;)

Caterer: Hizon’s Catering 7/10
Peso Power: 140,000

We got a good deal with Hizon’s. I must say this is one of the perks of having a husband that is good at sales talk and negotiations- we got Hizon’s package at a very low price of 140k good for 200 pax. (700 per head)

This includes:
**2 types appetizer: Ebi tempura rolls with roasted sesame dressing & Shrimp & smoked fish cocoon in lemon aioli
**Soup, Salad, Pasta: Truffled three mushroom soup, peach mango salad with peach mango vinaigrette dressing, fettuccine with carbonara sauce
**Slow roasted US Beef with mushroom gravy, baked fish fillet stuffed with spinach & bechamel sauce, apple braised pork belly, chicken sambal and farm's harvest vegetables
**Dessert bar: red velvet cupcake, flourless chocolate cake, baked blueberry cheesecake, vanilla creme brulee, mango pandan panacotta, peach egg tart, mixed fruits and mallows with dark and white chocolate fondue sauce
**100 pcs quesadilla (served during cocktail hour)
**Unlimited soft drinks and iced tea
**Free +10 pax buffer

Despite some negative feedback sa lasa ng food ni Hizon’s, I can say that I am giving them 10/10 dahil ang daming nagsabi na masarap ang food. After our wedding, kusa nagtetext samin yung mga nagpuntang guests na ang sarap daw ng handa namin. Even after my vacation leave, pagbalik ko sa office, yung food pa rin ang pinag uusapan na masarap daw. Most of them said na gusto pa nila kumain dahil marami pang food pero nakailang balik na daw sila at busug na busog na sila.

Maganda rin ang styling at set up per table. Nasunod ang napag usapan during detailing! Everyone loved the flowers!! Matched with our motif.

The minus 1 point goes to the backdrop styling; may mga details na di nasunod. When I emailed them about it, nagcrack daw kasi yung isang panel on their way to our venue that is why they had to modify some details. Oh well, I had to let go – buti na lang nadala ng backdrop lighting!

The other minus 1 point goes to the appetizer which my planner LA mentioned during the final meeting na 3 pcs of each appetizer will be served. So we assumed, since 2 types ang appetizer, each of the guests will be served with 6 pcs appetizer. According to our guests tig 5 pcs per table lang daw ang naiserve. kaya medyo disappointed kami sa part na ito.

Another minus 1 point goes to the doves – walang doves!! During our final meeting, we were asked pa kung ang doves daw ba ay sa church or sa reception dadalhin? Kung irerelease daw ba or for picture taking and video lang na ipagkikiss yung doves. Wenk wenk wenk. Wala naman palang doves come wedding day. Okay lang din. feeling ko mahahassle lang ako humawak, pero mas okay sana kung meron.

We already sent an email to LA to know what actually happened. Overall, despite these 3 items, we were happy and satisfied with Hizon’s. Okay lang na may nakalimutan silang details. Kesa nakalimutan nila sarapan yung food. Sabi nga ng friend ko, pag ang wedding walang glitches, hindi daw masaya. Fine! Hehe.

^^nothing sis, we didn't pursue anything but days before the wedding she even texted asking if she can meet us because she wants to give a wedding gift. So pathetic. She might lose her mind if we start to sue her and that involves money too..

^yes sis Tita Sonya is our stylist. It was very elegant and got what we wanted. Bizu's dessert table was superb - loaded kame sa desserts! Haha! And the butlers are so so nice even the regular waiters. Wala pa official photos sis eh.
