We got Patio de Tata Roque for our wedding last May 2 (yes! graduate na ko! hehe).  They are based in Marikina but caters kahit saang lugar daw.  We got their Sapphire package.  I can email pictures of our set-up if anyone is interested.  Just PM me your email add

If you are a kuripot bride... quido's catering is really good..
nung wedding namin ang ganda ng set up sa ramon magsaysay hall.. as in akala nila naka 500k kami sa gastos wherein fact mga 250k (87k doon catering) di kami nakakain noon kasi busy sa guests...
our officemates and friends ay sarap na sarap sa food....mga *middle class na guests*..  you know. 
our relatives na somewhat mga lawyers, doctors, cpa... hmmm... ok lang naman daw.. madami silang pintas kasi mga fine dining mga yun pag kumakain sa events.. hehe..
anyway one of our friends na kinasal neto lang nasarapan sa quidos nung kasal namen yun din ang kinuha nila... since guests nakmi... i was able to eat everything na... at masarap siya  ubos lalo na leche flan ang sarap unang kagat melts in your mouth ..  (so i guess talagang middle class lang talaga ako kasi nasarapan ako haha) basta quidos has this pang masa na appeal pero di kanaman mapapahiya hindi sya mukhang cheap

nakatikim nako ng  tamayo's at center table.. sa kasal before.. iba ang dating nila.. may yaman effect talaga may altaness. may yabang ang food nila... talagang hashtag yamanin... kaso kahit gustuhin ko man sila... we can't afford them... kaya pag marami budget go for these...

Tried Quido's as well. Wedding of my SIL in 2009, friend's wedding in 2012 and corporate christmas party in 2011 (ako nagcoordinate), and yes maganda ang set-up nila, masarap din ang food at napakadali kausap ng owner na si Ms Gina. Very reasonable din ang rates nila. They are based in Muntinlupa.

MS. Gina Napolis, the owner pa ang nagaasikaso... lahat ng nasa wishlist ko nasunod nila.. actually no need for a coordinator na nga sa reception kasi si ms. gina ang bahala hehe...

Just came back from a food tasting event at CVJ. Did anyone else attend?

Strangely, of the 3 caterers that I've tried so far - Josiah's, Hizon's, and CVJ - sila yung talagang may standout dishes (their gindara and baby back ribs were simply amazing) - but they had reeeally awful dishes too (yikes lang talaga yung rosemary chicken and their mini cakes)! What a dilemma! I also really liked their set up, but it's only for upgraded packages. Their basic set-up were so-so.

Can't help but think of all the pounds I'm gaining from all this food tasting, but we still haven't found a caterer that we really like

Our venue's Oasis. O-em. 8 FT's?! Bilib din ako sa'yo sis nakakatatlo pa lang kami and my sister and I are already having food tasting fatigue.

There are 3 more on Oasis's list that we can try: Creamery, Red Swan, and Verleo's. But so far, Creamery is not replying and has no schedule for FT. And my sister doesn't want to do Swan anymore dahil ang onti ng choices nila. Siguro pahinga muna ako before deciding whether to try to contact Verleo, or just settle for 1 of the 3 na nasubukan na namin. Haaayy.

kame we were able to try 12 caterers. ^_^ though ang pinakamarami ko atang nakita is another GT sis and i think umabot sila ng 20+.
have you tried with KbyC sis? alam ko wala silang package with oasis pero parang walang corkage fee if you get them to cater. not sure nga lang if that is still in effect pero i read a b2b post about it before. maybe you can check with your ae na din.

ah.. that's how it works pala sis. akala ko naman parang pwede i-convert to KbyC lang yung caterer dun sa venue+caterer package. or baka pwede naman sis na pa-waive nyo sa KbyC yung VAT para kahit papano bawi yung 15k penalty..?
have you tried asking oasis if they will have a new accredited caterer soon? minsan kase may biglang nawawala/nadadagdag sa list of caterers nila eh. yan yung isang bagay na di ko nagustuhan sa oasis. nagbabago-bago sila ng accreditation of suppliers (not just for caterers ah) without giving prior notice sa clients. when we were still looking for a caterer, i asked them multiple times for a list of all their accredited ones pero they never gave me a complete list. 
sobrang strict pa nila sa policies pero minsan sila naman yung malabo kausap.

Sa mga nakapag food tasting na, ilang menu per category ang pinagpilian nyo?

I inquired kasi sa Lamano's at sabi sakin 1 lang daw per category. Pag di daw magustuhan pwede palitan. Napaisip tuloy ako kung another meeting na naman pag gusto namin palitan. Im having doubts tuloy sa kanila.

ako man nasasayangan sa corkage fee if venue only. samin (just in case matuloy sa TMF) 10% of the catering cost yung additional. Pero good thing talaga kung kaya i-waive ang 12% vat.

Hi mga sis! Pa join! Getting married this October 2015 and no caterer yet (kaloka lang. haha!) Has anyone tried M Catering? How was their set-up? Mag food tasting pa lang kami sa kanila next week. Nag back read ako and I saw some post na masarap daw food nila. Sana maganda din yung styling since my budget cant afford an event stylist na. TIA!

naka-book kame with M catering for our wedding in july.
sa dalawang ft namin sa kanila (initial & grand) laging masarap yung food na handa nila.
as for the styling, recently mas active sila mag-post on facebook ng mga setup na ginawa nila and so far ok naman sila para saken. mas focus kase namen ang food kaya kahit simple lang ang setup ok lang basta masarapan ang guests sa handa. you can ask your ae na din siguro for photos ng mga nagawa na nilang setup para may basehan ka.
we're going to have our final ft with them next week so i'll update you na lang how it goes and i hope mag-update ka din about your ft experience with them.
