Sis - pareho tayo! I wanted Cherry Pacheco at first but she was so expensive. Eds Go is really really good. Very bride finish ang make-up. We made the right choice! She is getting very popular. I blogged about her and all my blog's searches are about her.

Hi sis!, Wow, first time to view your blog and i like the way you do reviews! Love it When i booked Eds, honestly i didnt even know she was popular!  She was the first supplier i ever booked because that time i saw how different her output was from the other choices i had so parang the choice came easy. My heart cried at Cherry's rates. Siguro if i was filthy rich, her or Albert K. Pero i had too many other splurges in mind than makeup! Hehe.

@belle_v2g sis I so agree with you. Mahirap talaga  especially if it's just the couple who are shouldering everything kaya we have to make the best suppliers for us, without breaking the bank and without dipping into the savings . 

At first himdi ko alam kung ano yung magagandang styles for a bride. I asked my friends who got married and even my coordinator.  And I checked out all of the recommened's FB page or websites, and then I had my trial makeup/sss. Unfortunately, dun sa mga akala ko na magugustuhan ko yung makeup, hindi din pala. And then I checked the recommended HMUA's here, and I checked the photog's and videographer's webpages to see if may difference pag iba na kukuha.  I'm happy I've booked with Eds hehe.  Ilang beses din kaming nagkulitan a few months back hehe.

Pahabol pala sa advice ni belle_v2g   it's okay to ask or call various hmua's or other suppliers and ask them for their service, otherwise hindi malalaman kung mag click kayo as bride and supplier.😄😄

Thanks sisses! Sa dami ng choices nakakalito at ang hirap mamili. As much as i want na mag trial make up haha i can't kasi ang mahal din. But maybe mag trial make up nalang ako sa ma short list ko.

Im still waiting for Gery Penaso's reply on his rates:)) I got jigs rates already pasok sa budget pero wala pang prenup yung 40k nya.

Sis belle, si Thea ba sya ba gumagawa sa hair or she brings her hairstylist?

Hi girls, out-of-left-field question lang. I've never had my hair coloured before so it's very black, which I never minded naman haha But when I did my hair & makeup trial, updos aren't working very well kasi the colour just overshadows any form of intricacy in the hairstyle. So we both agreed na lang na I have my hair coloured (this made my sister and mom exclaim 'finally' at the same time haha)

So the question is this: when is the best time to have my hair coloured the first time? Every tip I found said touch up on the existing colour should be done 2-3 weeks before but nothing on when to get hair coloured first haha Hope you girls can help!

@marsala sis if you're based in Pinas, It might be better to check out the HMUA's you like, and go visit them at the bridal fairs. That's what I did when I went home last March. There will be one next month yata. Maybe you can try and see if any of your shortlisted suppliers will be in the bridal fair.  Or if kung may bayad, check out the others that offer free trial. There will be a lot. That way, kahit hindi mo sila kunin, you can have an idea on what look you want to get or not.

@anneshirley sis it might be better to consult it with your HMUA or a stylist at a salon. I know some girls who had their hair coloured for the first time, and maganda yung nilabasan. But I also know of a few lang naman na hindi kumapit yung dye. It was just parang very dark brown. Pag natamaan lang ng ilaw and very subtle lang talaga. Unless that's the effect your going for

True! ang mahal diba? I dont have any upcoming ocaasion pa man din.Sguro umalis ako to see hubby patrial ako tas walang burahan ng make-up. lol!

Was backreading and felt the need to comment since I got Jasmine Mendiola as my HMUA. Yes, her looks are very light and natural because that's her beauty philosophy her tagline is actually "makeup that grooms approve of" which I think may or may not work for you, depending on your personal preference as a couple.

However, having come from my trial makeup session with her, I can confirm that she can also do heavy makeup. I asked for smokey eyes and it came out really nice! I think the key is bringing pegs (which she encouraged me to do) and letting her know specifically what you want. Medyo nakulangan din ako sa eyebrows but she's so light and friendly, so I'm planning to mention that to her come wedding day.

Just sharing my 2 cents and actual experience

That's great, reese17! Can't wait to see your smokey makeup! I'm sure you look awesome in it. I'm happy she's able to do that for you kahit na hindi nya usual style yun. That proves she is really talented.

Personally if i was really really pretty na with a bare face, i'll go natural lang din like Patty Laurel.

Yeah, I was initially worried too but siya na mismo nagsabi sakin na "if you want to go heavier, just tell me. More eyeshadow or contour is fine, it's easier to add than remove kasi." so I walked away quite happy! And yesss if only we all had Patty Laurel's pretty features! Hay.

I have her rates. 23K bride only, 25k (+ 1 head) and retouch by her additional 5k. Trial is 5k done in her studio. OOT Rates apply.

Glad to hear Jasmine worked out for you. Yes do mention it kase she didnt touch ours. Yes she is pleasant, shes a batch higher sakin in Miriam Highschool

^Wow ok pala rates nya ah, akala ko she was one of the expensive ones! She does celebs and has rich clients kasi, Would have considered her pala for those rates. I like her portfolio.

I dunno if I did the right thing... but I booked my HMUA based on how her work looks like on peole I know personally. On her IG I saw 4 people I knew. 1 bride and 3 who went to her for events. And since I know them personally I can gauge and decide if the MUA made them look prettier without making them look like a different person hehe.

Im just nervous though because Ive never tried her myself or seen her work in person. i have complete confidence in her eyeshadow application and contouring.  its the foundation application i am worried about. That is the most critical for me and i never know till i do a trial

I've seen how Pong Niu worked first hand. She did my friend's make-up for a pageant and my friend ended up winning. My friend was the only one who brought her own make-up artist while others relied on the pageant's available make-up artist. Compared sa iba, Ms Pong was very professional and should I say, formal. She's not easily intimidated by others. Talagang set-up siya sa backstage of her stuff regardless kung over-the-top ang set-up niya. Everything for her client. At ang make-up? Talagang stand out ang friend ko! Ang ganda ng make-up niya. I think her style is edgier compared to others. Something would really stand out sa features mo sa make-up niya. I know of one sis here who had Pong Niu as her MUA at talagang bright pink (pink noveau-ish/candy yum yum-ish) (Pong is a MAC MUA) ang lipstick niya. Share ko lang. I know she's still active sa forum And her SDE is one of my fave din kasi. Sarap panoorin super good vibes.

@chilli1113 If I may ask is this foundation applied thru airbrush?why jittery? Do you have negative feedbacks about it?
