Masabi ko lang--- since napaguusapan ang difference ng cheaper and the expensive HMUA... ang layo ng work ni Eds Go sa mga cheap to mid-range HMUA na kinoconsider ko for my prenup. Haha. Sheez, you really get what you pay for. Di lang siguro sa brand of makeup used but also the technique, ang layo talaga....

Just curious, do you girls have makeup pegs or looks that you want for your wedding? Like dramatic eyes + nude lips or no-eyeliner but flushed cheeks?

I have. Idedepende ko lahat sa magiging trip ko sa buhok ko.

reese, I'm doing a winged smoky eye (probably in purple or navy) with a soft lip (more of a peachy-pink colour rather than a full-on nude).

I'm probably going to go with the rosy cheeks and a nude/MLBB lip. My HMUA doesn't use eyeliner on her brides and prefers to put falsies for a more natural look. I normally wear eyeliner because it makes my eyes bigger but let's see how it goes.

Hindi pa sis, didnt use my trial with her for my prenup eh (mauuna prenup ko at super layo so di ko afford OOT nya). Kaya naghanap ako cheaper HMUA pero i was quite disappointed talaga ang layo ng output eh based on their posts! Hahaha.

reese, kahit subtle eyeliner? I feel like it makes such a big difference when it comes to defining the eye. And yeah, I love dramatic makeup -- natawa my HMUA kasi when she said brides usually want a natural look, I said not me, bring it on! Hehe. Although I like the skin to look natural/glowy parin, I just want strong eyes or lips.

She does subtle liner naman, but mostly in browns. I guess it's good narin, I can do the fresh and youthful look for the ceremony then ask her to give me dramatic eyes for the reception since it's going to be at night.

Haha you're right! Most brides (including myself) ask for the natural look but I'm sure you'll look glam. Who are you getting btw?

I hired nalang a makeup artist local to my destination -- I looked into flying someone in from the Philippines but I decided it was too much hassle!

magaling si bea sis.. she was my sister's hmua on her wedding sa st james last year.. she was also the hmua for us, entou.. maasikaso at maganda mag-make up.. long lasting din ang make-up niya.. we started at 3:00AM for the 10:00AM wedding, madami kase kami.. natapos ang reception at 3-4PM, maganda pa rin ang make-up.. di nako nag-retouch kase halos di nawala even after kumain..
she was very early din.. she was at the hotel already at 2:00AM

same peg sis.. the no make-up look kase is madali lang, since i know how to do make-up.. i want drama and glamour kase for my make-up, so yan ang peg ko.. for the lippie, more on soft pink

thanks sis hallerski..medyo nagworry lang ako kase nabook ko na siya last January bridal fair kahit na nextyear pa wedding ko, feeling ko sobrang tagal pa kase..atsaka sa bridal fair ko lang siya nameet so medyo di ako ganong nakapagresearch about her, except sa konting reviews na nabasa ko which is mostly positive naman kaso konti nga lang reviews, so your comment is a big help to me, kampante na ko, hehe..nun ni-trial makeup niya ko nagustuhan ko naman lalo na yun galvanic spa niya na ginagawa before the airbrush makeup, hihi..

In addition to my previous comment, check nyo din  yung before and after photos.. kase yung iba finifilter para mas magmukhang makinis.

It was mentioned here na kapag magaling gumawa ng eyebrows, obviously magaling ang hmua. I agree to that. And saka kapag magaling silang mag contour. Eto ang kailangan especially ng mga malalaki ang pisngi. hehe

^ you're right sis but i've seen some before and after photos ng mga affordable HMUA na pwede na rin naman, concern ko lang talaga yung products na gamit nila. Kaya i cant decide whether to get an expensive HMUA na magagaling talaga or yung medyo affordable lang na magaling din naman

Depende sis... madami naman murang hmua na magaling naman. pero kung how much yung budget mo im pretty sure may makikita ka na magaling at irerecommend sayo. Ask your coordinator too btw, may mga allergies ka ba? may iba kase na sensitive talaga din sa ibang makeup brands.
my hmua kase is my hmua na ever since so di na ko naghanap ng iba and nakita ko rin ang output during our prenup with gail bitoon. im super impressed. nakita ko kase development nya from a newbie to being a pro..

Tama sis ako mamukha ako haha pero since maganda ang contour, yung photos na headshot lang akala nila pumayat ako pero magaling lang talaga mag contour at kilay, nagmukhang couple of years younger. Heheh! :-D

Another thing is yung medyo maliliit ang mata or chinita.. medyo challenging yan haha! iilan lang yun nakikita ko na magaling sa ganon. Nako madaming dapat I-consider talaga pag kukuha ng hmua.

^Agree konti lang magaling sa chinita kasi extra challenge to make them eyes pop out and not look cheap yung pagkamakeup! But Cherry Pacheco, Madge Lejano, Albert K and Eds Go to name a few.

Yes with albert kurniawan..but he's super expensive. Haven't seen any of cherry's client portfolio so can't really say anything. Madje lejano.. hmm. I heard something before but I'll keep it to myself coz I don't wanna share 2nd hand info esp if not so ok.
eds go, magaling sya. Pero most of her brides are magaganda na talaga. I wanna see her do something na mapapa wow ako. Kase kay mariah madami ako wows haha.
I'm still a jigs mayuga fan though.. saab's fresh "no make up look" is so divine.
