Mga bagay na pwede tipirin sa kasal

Agree with other sis here. Tipid pero quality naman, it's about being resourceful and avoiding known suppliers sa industry. Mahal rate nila pero may makikita ka naman same quality with other suppliers.

Share ko din ano mga tinipid ko.

1. Car - we used our own car kahit hinde color white. First car kase namin to. And to be honest, hinde talaga sya mapapansin during wedding, para syang bridal shoes na isinasama lang sa kailangan picturan.

2. Bridal Shoes - really my customized pala nito. Hinde sya kita sa gown, the only time na makikita eh pag garter removal lang. Bought mine nung nag-sale sa Charles and Keith. True enough tambak lang sya sa bahay since I seldom wear heels.

3. Rings - ours was 12,000. Bought sa Ongpin, 14k rose gold simple band. Di naman kailangan tadtarin ng diamonds since every day eh suot mo.

4. Caterer - for me karamihan overprice ang mga caterer na sikat sa wedding industry. I've been to many weddings and wala naman ako maalala na masarap na food yung talagang napa-wow ako. 415/head lang  caterer ko, may broccoli soup, US slow roast beef belly, baked Tanigue, mango pomelo salad na kasama sa menu. After the wedding pinag-uusapan nila yung masarap na food even pagpasok ko sa office titanong nila ano tawag sa mga menu.

5. Photobooth - di kami kumuha. May official photgrapher naman at may phone pa yan pang selfie, sobra na sa picture. Besides, naguguluhan ako sa photobooth.

6. Souvenirs - ours was simple potted plants at 45/piece. Guests like it and until now they're giving me feedback na lumalago na yung plants. Nakakatuwa lang. Some say may name pa yung plants, initial namin ni hubby.

7. Gift for each other - nah, hinde ko gets bat may ganito hehe. Tapos ivi-video pa, sobrang scripted.

8. Cake - 3,700 3-tier cake. Nagsisi pa ako dito, mas maganda pala yung 2-layer na simple cake lang.

9. Event Stylist - styling ng caterer will do plus konting DIY.

10. Booze - no need ng mobile bar. nagdala lang kami ng 10 cases of San Mig Light, Pilsen, Red Horse. Solve na solve ang guests hehe...sobra pa kami ng 2 cases at least maiuuwi mo yung sobra.

11. Venue - eto dapat research talaga, ang daming magaganda dyan na hinde ganun kamahal. 20k lang yung amin with Taal view and very relaxing yung ambience, guests stayed longer because of it.

12. HMUA - 11k lang for bride, 2 moms, 1 ninang, 1 MOH kasama na out of town fee. I think this is one of the overpriced supplier sa wedding industry kaya kinuha ko yung nagmake-up sa friend ko dati na may salon at sanay naman sa bridal event. Naka-2 free trial ako kase yoko ng makapal na make-up. Pinaulit ko hanggang makuha ko yung look na almost no-make up heheh.

13. Invitations - 35/piece, printed 30pcs. pero sobra pa. Cute naman ng mga design sa print divas. Beware, ang daming nag D-DIY nito pero baka mas malaki pa magagastos nyo sa DIY.

Lahat naman halos tinipid namin except videographer, photographer and my gown. Gown ko mid-range lang naman pero designer pa rin pinili ko. Magkasama kase yang tatlo, believe me, looking at our wedding pictures now mas maganda kung yung gown na suot mo eh fit na fit sayo and you look good on it. Sayang ang pictures at video kung ayaw mo naman makita yung sarili mo sa gown na hinde bagay syo.

Agree with mobile bars! Overpriced sila. Eh yung mini-mix nila sa cocktails karamihan cheap local liquors lang naman like The Bar. Just buy from a distributor and have your caterer manage them.

^ agree hindi talaga sulit ang mobile bar. hindi naman kasi lahat mahilig sa cocktails, hindi pa masarap magtimpla yung iba. mas na-appreciate ko pa yung weddings with beer, scotch or wine. its the type of drink na for sure iniinom ng nakakarami. besides, people dont come to weddings para maglasing, social drinking lang so they wont consume so much.

flowers - kumuha kami sa pinaka mura naming napagtanungan, kasi itatapon lang naman after.

bridal car - 2,500 for 3hrs ang nakuha namin, toyota corolla ata if i'm not mistaken. kaso nung wedding day na namin, may nag rent daw nung toyota so yung owner, benz nalang yung pinadala at same cost. ang bait lang

hotel - yung loob naman ng room ang pipicturan, hindi yung labas

invitations - DIY ko lang ito, tatapon lang din kasi after

reception venue - kasama na ito sa package na kinuha namin for food since resto and events place naman sila

cake - hindi naman namin pinakain ng cake ang guests so 2-layer lang inorder ko from estrel's

hmua - meron namang magagaling kahit mura lang

wedding rings - got ours for less than 10k sa ongpin, gold + white gold

bridal gown - marami rin mura na maganda. i remember si kitchie nadal (ata? correct me if im wrong sisses) yung nakita ko sa news na super mura ng gown but she still looked fabulous during her wedding.

Invitations sobrang liit ng expense ko.  I bought 7 x 7 inches envelope na maganda.  Hindi yung ordinary texture and gsm.  Layout ng invitation ako lang din, 3 pages na 6.75 x 6.75 inches ang size.  May printer kami sa bahay, i printed it.  Pati sticker na rin.  I bought 250gsm paper in Recto ang mura lang.  I bought gems sa divi (di ko sure ang tawag) pang accent sa border ng invitation ko.  I spent less than 1K for everything.

We originally started out with a 800k budget but was rapidly approaching 1 million so we had to cut corners. Dito kami nagbawas ng budget.

1. Shoes - Something that no one will see that much (aside from the obligatory preps photos) so we let go na of buying P60k-worth designer shoes. I don't even wear heels that much kaya I'll probably be using them at most a couple of times a year lang.

2. Coordinator - Yes, the best and most experienced are certainly worth their price, pero there are a lot of up and coming coordinators who can deliver. You just have to find the time to look for reviews.

3. Church flowers - We were supposed to get the church styled for P50K, but decided against it in the end. You'll only be there for an hour or so anyway, and I don't think people will pay that much attention to them. Siyempre yung focus on the 2 of you, and maybe the entourage.

4. Hotel - As long as it's presentable, why not? There are a lot of alternatives to the Shangri-las and Peninsulas around. Ended up with Seda, nice and modern. A bit small but serviceable. Checked out pictures of couples who had their preps their and the rooms look good naman.

It's best to book the essentials first, that will make you let go of those "nice to have" lang.

I always take time to read this thread. I thought matipid na ako, meron pa palang pwede na i-cut down na cost such as the shoes and gift sa isa't-isa na mukha ngang scripted. I will not include this part sa video. If ever just exchange love notes.. haha..

We decided na ang gift namin sa isa't isa on our wedding should be something na hindi namin binili. Tipid na, mas thoughtful din imo.

aww im torn tuloy. i want to give h2b a gift, its quite expensive but i know he'll really like it. ive been secretly saving up for it so i can give it to him on our wedding day. i want sana his reaction to be captured in the video but i dont want to seem like we're bragging though

^ sis bzbee yan din plan ko eh. Nag ssave din ako now coz I want to give him something on our wedding day. What I did was I bought an alkansya and I put there every excess change and coins I have for that week. And I'm anticipating extra cash flow before our wedding so I think kakayanin pa naman. He's been wanting this thing ever since and I really want to give it to him. If magbibigay lang ng regalo just for the heck of it then wag na. but kung may purpose and symbolism naman (plus you think you can save enough for it) then go!

We're giving each other gifts on our wedding day just because our wedding falls on our anniversary. We always have something for each other every year.

We are giving gifts too.. because it'll be our 3rd civil wedding anniversary on the day of our church wedding. I don't think it's corny though. It's the couple's choice naman if they wanted to give gifts or not.. if gusto nila ipa cover sa video or what. basta kami gusto namin. Kanya kanya yan.

Kami naman nag usap na wag na kami mag bigayan ng regalo sa kasal kasi magmumukhang scripted eh hindi kami marunong umarte. Hahaha.. Pero ako meron ako ginagawang journal ng everyday thing na ginagawa niya for me na super naappreciate ko. Kasama ko pa siya nung bumili ako ng notebook. Akala niya journal for office ko lang. Hindi niya alam para sa kaniya yun. Hahahhaa.. And I want it to be captured in video.

kami naman nagbigayan kami kasi yun month ng kasal namin anniv din namin. although alam naman namin na may gift kami sa isat isa, nakaka suspense pa din kung ano yun ibibigay nya, wala din ako idea anong time ibibigay, akala ko nung una scripted sya yun pala gagawa ng paraan photog mo para macapture talaga reaction mo kapag binigay na sayo yung gift.
