sis barbeecue, unfortunately my fiance and I are based abroad and our families are not Manila based, i don't want to ask my friends in Manila to chase her. Anyway i might get Maurelle Calligraphy for our invitations, has anywone worked with her?

hello mga sis!
friendly reminder lang to those who got print divas for their invites: always bring/show your contract when meeting with them.
we kinda overlooked this and umasa na lang kame na they'd do everything right pero when we got the invites, kulang ng ty cards, sobra ng stickers at may mga invites na walang rsvp card.
may miss din kame kase we didn't bring the contract or reminded them of the amount per piece but ok lang samen kase di naman big deal yung invites tsaka nakakapagod din magpabalik-balik sa office nila.
besides, sobrang basic lang din ng package na kinuha namin sa kanila. 42Php per set na may 2 4x9 main and ento page + mini rsvp card. then 200 ty cards (120 pcs lang meron) at 50 stickers (80 pcs naman to. haha!). sulit sila kung sa presyo ang basehan lalo na kung minimal design pero make sure to always run through the details.

^sis, can i see your invites? how much did they quote you? kasi kami originally, 70 pc/invite tapos naging 100+++ na nung me pinatweak kami sa current design. tas me 1500 pa ata additional kaya we decided to change our invites supplier na lang

sis yannuh, 2,100Php lang ang cost namin all-in.
since ayaw talaga namin gumastos ng malaki sa invites pumili na lang kame dun sa designs na meron sila.
i think tumataas talaga yung rate kahit konting edit or revision lang lalo na if it involves upgrade  ng materials or a completely new layout. plain envelope din ang kinuha namin and basic flat printing para sure na di tataas yung presyo. ito yung kinalabasan niya: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/415949715561869090/

wow sis galing mo naman:) nakamura ka na, ganda pa ng invites mo. ours naman is 80/set (4 inserts, monogram sticker, band, saka colored envelope) medyo nagtaas din from 70/pc target budget (:| ) pero happy pa din. congrats sis f878:))

Question: Do bridal invitation printers really give discounts and freebies during bridal fairs? I was in Jay Cee Kay earlier and they are giving a 10 percent discount including free 100pcs TY cards, or save the date cards. Do the other letterpress printers like Printsonalities, Craft Master, Write Impressions, and Ever Engraving give similar promos at every bridal fair they join? Or is this like a unique promo that I should take advantage of while they are offering it? Jay Cee Kay also offered to upgrade my reception/rsvp card to full size for free. So it is very tempting.

Anyone here having letterpress invites done? Because of the discount the Jay Cee Kay letterpress invites are now within budget BUT the invitation is not double envelope, and is quite small at 4.75" x 3.5" only. P212 per set two-sheets letterpress, single envelope with printed lining, and letterpressed flap, 200 gsm. Plus free 100 pcs TY card, flat printing only, worth P3800 free --- Is that an OK deal?

^Chili1113 the invites seem small ha.. parang in bridal fairs it's usually 5X7 or 6X8 the normal main pages. Is the text still big enough for oldies to read?

I got freebies too when i booked my invite supplier sa fair, free 150 pcs gift tags or TY cards, monogram seal plus envelope addressing. Not sure how sulit your deal is kasi i never inquired about letterpress though. Pero wow 212 per invite! I only spent P100/pc for double envelope with printed lining, 3 pages invite, 150 pcs TY cards, monogram seal, and envelope addressing. I think sulit padin to book sa fair as long as you are sure with your choice of supplier and really plan on getting them anyway.

Yes Sparklingjewel the invite is kinda small =( But then it has die cut corners and the 6" x 9" version will cost P293 each (since they have to make the die cut from scratch for that size).
The text is quite big since it is a very minimally worded invitation and so there is a lot of space.

OK na your P100/invite!!! What printing method did they use? Wow with envelope addressing included and 150 TY cards?!?! Gah!!!!!

Hmmm baka not worth it nga... Super sulit na sana yon if it was bigger eh!! You know what Ill ask for a re-computation. Perhaps I can make it bigger, instead of die-cut edges ill make it rounded corners lang. Cheaper siguro.

Hehe sorry I have no idea, i'm really being simplistic on the whole invitation suite. I just requested a certain look which doesn't require any special printing or embossing. This will be one of the things I won't be so arte at since we're inviting a whole lot of people who to me are for formality's sake... They won't even go and they'll just throw the invite after. Naaartehan na nga yata si fiance that I had the matching envelope liner included. Hahaha! Kaso if i go cheaper magmumukha nang cheap talaga.. but i really wanted like a P60 invite hehe.

The JayCeeKay dimensions seem weird ha, sure ba yan inches?? Kasi that's barely bigger than a 3X5 index card!

^Actually, spending on invitations is one of those really impractical things haha Im actually OK to give it up =) I wont order anymore from Jay Cee Kay. Tagal pa naman the wedding. LOL I just passed by their shop since I was already in the grocery beside it and got tempted with all the discounts and freebies. Invitations along with the cake are low priority items for me.

not sure what kind of paper sis pero yung typical lang na ginagamit for invitations na medyo makapal.
as for the design naman, they have an album ng mga nagawa na nilang invites tapos pumili lang kame dun. sabe naman nila last time no charge kung minor tweaks lang like change ng colors, fonts or additional details.

Chili, I agree that the Jay Cee Kay dimensions seem small! Anyway, no need to pull the trigger now, you have plenty of time to decide. I just mailed out my invitations this week and I love them, but I absolutely spent a ridiculous amount of money on them. No regrets, but I'm a paper and design fiend and they were always going to be crazy

Chili, I designed them myself (I have a professional design background) but I hired a calligrapher to do our names etc. They were letterpress printed and die-cut, and I painted each one individually with watercolour. Like I said, over the top haha. But they're exactly what I wanted!
