My kids goes to Holy Spirit Academy of Malolos (HSAM). Sister school ito ng School of the Holy Spirit QC, Holy Spirit School in Cubao, College of the Holy Spirit Manila in Mendiola & many more. It is the most prestigious school in Bulacan. Tuition fee is a lot cheaper here because we are in the province. For my eldest, incoming grade 10, 56k is the tf, but if you add the expenses in uniforms, books & everything it would cost you about 65k which is already super expensive here in the province. Elementary naman hindi nagkakalayo sa tuition fee ng junior high. Hope this helps for other mommies in bulacan. I strongly recommend this school because of its quality education and high standard facilities. It is also a well-known school. We are lucky that the tuition fee of HSAM is cheaper because we are in the province, but one of the teachers told me that if HSAM is in manila, it would cost around twice and more of the current tuition fee.

~I did not consider this school for my kids because holy spirit is a lot better than it & there are many loko loko students there. But i heard that the quality of education is also great because it is one of the schools administeres by St. Paul if Chartres sisters.

~The quality of education here is also great, but I did not like the campus so I did not consider this school.

-La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP)
?Junior High is about 45k
~A great school too, one of my choices for my kids but it is farther than HSAM and I like the catholic atmosphere of HSAM better. But again, also a great school.

backreading the posts and i noticed some comments about the "expensive" tuition fees. i think it's because some parents prefer the exclusivity, if you know what i mean.

^opting for a higher tuition fee doesn't necessarily mean parents are after the "exclusivity". It's higher because they have better facilities, better security, lower teacher:student ratio, quality of teachers, among others. Like in LSGH, they have a medic with ambulance on standby in school, even during summer when there are only summer classes. Naturally, since tuition is higher, only those who can afford can send thier kids to these schools.  Aba, if public schools can offer the same things as private schools here, I won't have 2nd thoughts in sending my kids to one.

^i agree.maraming reason yan bakit may nagbabayad ng mahal for TF..Kung kaya ko lang ding tiisin ang enviroment sa public schools (if you know what i mean, not to offend parents na nagpapaaral sa public schools), ieenroll ko talaga mga anak ko dun. Biruin mo laking tipid, 100k+ ang masave ko for the 2 kids hehe..airconditioned ang classrooms at may gym, etc..tapos libre lahat pati books at uniform..May mga freebies pa at give aways from politician lalo na kapag pasko or campaign period.libre bag at school supplies.may libreng bakuna at purga pa..alala ko nga nuong araw may free snacks pa na nutribun hehe..

Kung kinder pa lang ang bata ok lang , medyo tolerable ang situation though andyan yun mga sakitin lalo na bulutong lalo na pag walang vaccine..pero kung elem na medyo risky..andyan na kasi yung mga nagmumurang bata, bullies, sakitin, etc. At least kung magbayad kami ng mahal sa private school, may inaasahan ka, good teaching method, mas panatag na walang mambubully sa anak mo..kung meron man syempre malaking issue yun hehe..then may karapatan magdemand o magreklamo..sa public, no choice kundi sumunod sa policy nila..di ka makaangal.need mo pa magrender ng service pag kailanganin nila..ako nga napaghugas ako ng sangkaterbang plato at baso nung supplemental feeding nun nasa daycare ang bunso ko.hehe..nung una inis na inis ako kasi pag umiiyak ang bata sa 1st week of school, pinapalabas nila..di nag-eeffort ang teacher na patahanin ang bata.. So either uuwi ang bata dahil hindi papayag na wala ang nanay sa loob or babantayan mo sa loob hanggang matapos ang klase hehe..ang siste, almost 2mos ako nagbantay sa loob ng classroom kasi nga umiiyak kapag iiwanan ko.

Syempre pag sa private naman at gumanun din yun isa kong anak, at pinatawag ako, may angas ako, ganto sinasabi ko "natural lang umiyak yan, 1st day jitters eh. Pag bantayan ko yan sa loob, indi yan matututong maging independent. " e di wala silang nagawa kundi gumawa ng paraan para indi umiyak ang hehe..

Tapos sa daycare panay chismisan pa ang mga nanay. May monthly contributions pa..Nag-aaway-away pa lalo na pag my meeting. Kaya ayoko umattend at nakikibalita na lang ako hehe.. Sa private halos wala naman meeting. Wala naman kasi pagmi-meetingan masyado. Yung school at teachers na ang nagseset up pag may events like xmas party.usually naman yun yung mga pinagtatalunan sa meeting..so yun teachers na ang nagdedecide kung anong date, kung anong meals, kung how much amount for exchange gifts. Pati contribution sila na din ang nagdedecide.so tama lang para iwas arguments.hehe..babasahin na lang ng parents sa diary lahat ng announcement..

Meron ding isa pang cheaper option like semi-private. At 60k ang matitipid ko (sarap sana)..Pero dahil semi as in galing sa pagiging public school, hindi ko din nagustuhan ang sistema due to high student-teacher ratio kahit kinder pa lang. At hindi airconditioned ang classroom..aba daig pa ng public school, airconditioned ang classrooms..magbabayad ako ng 20k sa ganun?plus books.. Anong ma-gain ko dun..assuming na so-so lang ang teaching skills ng mga teacher as per feedback ng ibang parents. Mas magaling pa nga daw magturo sa public kesa sa semi-private na yun..Medyo totoo din kasi yung bunso ko maraming natutunan sa nursery sa daycare eh..

So ang ending, we will spend 100k+ for our kids' TF, books, etc in the same private school that my panganay attended last year dahil mas nagustuhan namin ang sistema.

that's why I said "some" parents, like chinese friends and expat bosses who send their kids to exclusive/intl schools with high tuition fees. there are schools that have certain culture din that parents prefer for their kids (aside from facilities and method of teaching of course).

Reminds me of a schoolmate in pisay who got pulled out after a year by her parents because they changed their minds and wanted her to be enrolled in a certain school in ayala alabang instead. At first I thought baka she was struggling academically or maybe pisay was too far from where they lived, etc., but as per the mom, the real reason was mas gusto raw nya for her daughter ang "crowd" dun. Oh well, to each his own.

expats send their kids to IS because Philippine curriculum isn't exactly up to par to global standards.  And with them usually on 3-5 years assignments, they have to make sure that the kids will be able to continue their education whichever country they'll be assigned next. So you cant really say that they send them there just for the "exclusivity".  That's too much of a generalization. Besides, most of these expats dont pay a single cent for their children's education.

I'll admit this--- crowd in a school is important for me. Not so much that i want an affluent crowd, but it is more of the type of children in a school. For example, if my child was smart enough to enter PISAY, I would be honored to send my child there. Even if it is a public school, the students there are very serious, diligent, and responsible. THAT is the crowd I want for my child. 

As for schools with advanced curriculum, with very low student-teacher ratio of course the school will have to charge double of triple the usual tuition fees. How is the school to pay for all those teachers, when there are only very few students in a class?

I agree about having a good crowd for my kids. My kids are extra playful and not  an ounce of antagonistic blood in them. While in other schools I hear a lot of bullying stories, in Southville everyone is polite the least and warm mostly. Also, I appreciate that
 Boyfriend-gf culture practically doesnt exist in their middle school-highschool or at least didnt see any of those  in the frequent times i hang out and observe. (And i really take my time observing kids as I don't want my children exposed in those things at a young age)

And to the point made by the parents in earlier posts - not sure if this is offtopic, but how are the environments in the said schools? Meaning bullying? I've heard of some horror stories in bigger schools compared to smaller schools.

^^LSGH last year is more or less php 130k+ (higher if installment & difference can get as high as php 11k). Books and uniforms are not yet included.

There are some bullying incidents. I think hindi naman maiiwasawan. But I haven't heard any physical ones...more on excessive teasing, etc. As a parent you'll have to make sure to always talk to your kid. Once they tell you something, you have to let the teacher know. In LSGH, each level has a prefect that oversees such incidents. Once I wrote my son's teacher asking for explanation over an incident (the clinic even called me kasi they had to check my son when he fell nung kinukulit siya nung isang classmate). I made sure to cc the prefect so she's aware of the incident.

I planned of enrolling my son in one schools near my office.  TF is 38k+ excluding uniforms.  But after his 5 day trial class, the school said my son is not ready for school.  (A backgrounder, my son is very hyper and is doing occupational therapy sessions 2x a week previously but is now once a week this June since behavior is getting better).  So, to make it short, they can't have my son for regular class.  Then I went to another school near our house and the TF is 17,300 all inclusive.  They are 17 in the classroom and they have 4 teachers.  And my son loves it there.  He's always happy to attend school and happy leaving the school as well.  So in the end, I still thank that other school for not accepting my son as I saved 20K.  My son is 4 yrs old BTW and is in Kinder 1.
