hermione28: Heheh baka super bongga the peg you sent Teddy Manuel? When I got a quotation from him before it was reasonable naman and not much difference from other high end stylists. It was only when I wanted to add ceiling drama, by adding wisteria that the quotation really ballooned!!! The drapes and the wisteria alone would cost me 150k.

Otherwise the table centerpieces cost about the same price as the other quotations I got. =)

mga sis thank you sa input. si Teddy Manuel dream stylist ko na lang siya. haha. will have a meeting with Henry Pascual anytime soon. update ko kayo. so far siya yung high end na medyo swak naman sa budget. Mike Ruiz quoted me 250k for 200 guests.

^Does your P250 k with mike Ruiz include the church and bouquets? Or reception only?

LOL I think I am a bit strange, but you know what I actually look at when looking at the work of a stylist? I look at the vases and containers they use. Aside from the flower types they use, notice that what sets the high-end stylists apart are the vases that they use. Not props, but vases and candelabras. Because high end stylists dont use a lot of themed props. 

I just hope my styling comes out well, since this is important to me =( Sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten a cheaper florist and just wow everyone with the quantity. But then I went the more minimalist route, but imported flower types-- which I honestly think no one will notice or care about except for me!

Reception only. i haven't set a schedule with him yet.  i am expecting a schedule with Henry Pascual this week or next week.

who's your stylist sis? actually that's also my dilemma either to get a high end stylist or just get a cheaper florist but will just wow the guests with the quantity of the the flowers. anyway, after the event most of the visitors will just get take home some of the flowers which i don't mind.  hehe.

^Sis, try Robert Blancaflor. Come to think of it my contract price with him is not bad after all!! The price for my reception with 200 guests is a bit cheaper than the quotation Mike Ruiz gave you.

You can also check Jo Claravall and Dave Sandoval. They all gave me more or less the same quotation back then and they were my top choices. However, I chose Robert since his quotation included more ceiling decor than the others.

However perhaps the contract was cheaper because I signed up in July 2015?

Hello sisses! first time on this thread sis mainly because unfortunately wala ito sa top ng list ko... But I need advice!

Can anyone tell me who are the mid-range stylists na tingin niyo okay for a "fresh" sunday brunch look. garden wedding and maybe indoor reception. I don't need drapings, more on candelabras and flowers lang sa table. I have a maximum of 100 guests and venue will most likely be in Tagaytay. Translates to around 10-15 tables siguro?

Any help will be greatly appreciated! I don't know any stylist apart from Gideon Hermosa and Teddy Manuel.

^ You can backread sis for names that would come up though finding a mid-range event stylist would depend on how much your budget, number of guests and how complex your style would Like if you're picky with flowers and you wanted specific imported flowers, vases, ceiling arrangements etc. For Tagaytay my friends would always recommend Tita Sonya Francisco and you can check his works on FB. There's also Flowers Unlimited Rizal, Amaranthus, Serge Igonia, Scenta and Amante Fleurs.

If your budget for reception only styling would be from 150k and up then you can check out Dave Sandoval, Robert Blancaflor, Michael Ruiz, Jo Claravall and Zenas Pineda. Sometimes they do range na from 250k as of this writing, depende pa if your wedding is scheduled during peak season like December also but some friends who got their 2013-2014 rates were only around 130k for 100pax reception only so they're cheaper pa.

btw share ko lang sa inyo about my experience with high floral centerpieces... as a guest at a wedding in shang, pasaway kami pinatanggal namin yung mga matataas na flower arrangement kasi di namin makita yung isa't isa sa table LOL. kaya ako no to tall centerpieces din kasi baka same gawin ng guest ko hehe.

Try Flowers Unlimited (Rizal)-- owned by Rolando Roquero and Michelle Ines. Florist sila by nature and been in the industry for more than 20 yrs. Sulit sobra flowers nila, fresh and wide variety. My biggest reception regret is trusting KbyC to do my centerpieces-- malaking ganda kung tunay na florist and halos same cost lang.

Still can't book Tropical Blooms because of lack of recent reviews. Though I can always see them sa wedding na kasama nya yung mga high end suppliers.

Pero yung reviews talaga. Even dito sa GT. Wala eh. Pati yung coordinator ko. Di pa sya naka work and wala din syang makuhang reviews.

Medyo kinakabahan lang.

Hi Mitch2526, I'm a Tagaytay bride, and I am 90% sure I'm getting Tita Sonya. He's very accommodating and replies quickly, which is more than I can say for a lot of other mid-range Manila stylists I've inquired with.

He's not so active on FB, mostly through text or call. However, when he answers on FB super detailed, he ahswers your queries point by point. That's why I was impressed. If you want I can text him for you :-)

^sis, if I may ask, magkano inabot ng styling mo by Flowers Unlimited? I saw your post sa suppliers rating thread. Newly-engaged pa lang ako so mejo nasa sabog phase pa ko sa preps kaya sorry kung parang silly ang tanong ko ha -- AFAIK, may styling nang kasama si KbyC diba so... ano lang naging contribution ni Flowers Unlimited for the styling?

^sis i almost got Flowers Unlimited. The quoted me 220k for church, reception, and bouquets--200 pax. Super dami flowers yung like 2.5 ft diameter topiaries for each guest table, with 3 motr arrangements in the bottom and candles. Flowers used I only approved of roses, hydrangeas, some carnations, and snapdragons. This includes Phalaenopsis for VIP table, and full ceiling and wall drapes.

But I got someone else because they are not easy to contact all the time. But they always deliver well. But I think the price is good for the quantity of flowers they would have used.

I decided though to go with Robert Blancaflor for about 300k, because I opted to use less flowers but imported blooms instead. (Ecuador roses, tulips, amaryllis, molucella, hydrangeas.etc) Plus I am after the accessories that a high end stylist uses such as the crystal candellabras and vases.

Although sometimes I regret this, because very few people appreciate this. Most people are impressed more with the quantity rather than the flower types and quality of the accessories. But I am happy na din with Robert, because based on the current prices of high end stylists I think I got a good deal na din.

So far, my top choice is Events Central by Anna Winstel. She replies fast and the rates for ceremony and reception styling is really affordable. She even gives discount and freebies if you get 2 or more services. Pinagiisipan ko na lang kung siya din yung kukunin ko for the bridal/entourage flowers package kasi dun ako medyo namamahalan.
