I imagine it na either ala carte or buffet style tapos long table with flowers and candles with siguro instrumental piano or violin lang na nagpla-play sa background (Kahet CD lang to).

pareho tayu sis ng na-envision. That's our plan din. Tipong punta ng cityhall, pirmahan ng marriage contract, then dinner after. No more program, a simple dinner will do. We are eyeing Romulo's on Jupiter, ccheck din namen yung Chef Jessie.

2. Mateo's Cafe

Chineck ko Palladium Clubhouse super liit nung for 100 pax nila siksikan na ang mga guest, mura siya sana for 10, 800. :(

So far venue and mua palang nabook ko. SI caterer mag-ft palang kami in 2 weeks. We want to keep it plain and simple sana ang corny ba if pagdating sa venue tipong kakain na lang kagad tapos siguro magspeech ng onti? or do we have to add onting games ganyan?

Sana may makapag share ng experiences nila on having a simple wedding para magkaidea ako hehe thank you :)

@zayduck01 hi sis. same tayo na gusto is intimate wedding pero aabot rin ng 100pax ang guests dahil big family. preferred ko rin sana yung kain lang, cake cutting, wine toasting, first dance and speech pero ang worry ko is baka ma-bored yung mga guests. budget wedding na nga kami tapos ma-bored pa sila. so i'm thinking na maglagay na lang rin ng games for the garter and bouquet para may mapanood sila. :)

Hi mga sis, share ko lang yung friend ko who pushed through with a simple wedding and program. Total of 100 guests din sila pero I think na pull off naman nila ang simple program. Bale same venue for ceremony and reception pero different set up para solemn pa din yung ceremony. 6pm ceremony, then after ng picture with the couple (sa ceremony ito), diretso na sa reception area and dinner time na. During dinner dito na nag post nup pics yung couple. Nung malapit na mag tapos ang dinner, entrance na ng couple and then sila mismo nag acknowledge sa principal sponsors nila. Cake and wine lang yung traditions then message/speeches ng parents and some ninong/ninang. Pinaka last yung picture with the couple sa reception. The end na. The whole time lang na "idle", may nagplay lang na band. Di naman kami na bore kasi halos lahat magkakakilala and we enjoyed catching up with each other. Mabilis din mag edit yung p/v nila in fairness kasi na play agad yung sde.

@mindiegirl thank you for sharing sis! nag-iisip lang talaga ako kung pano ang magiging flow ng reception, i want it to be as simple as possible lang pero hindi nakaka-bore though may program conceptualization naman sa otd coord ko :)

@zayduck01 & michie25: Same din yung initial plan sana namin mga sis. At first max of 50 guests lang sana kami. Reception will be at a restaurant or cafe, para no program na. Talagang dinner lang with a few speeches, and para we can roam around freely and get to talk to all the guests. Pero since malaki ang family ni h2b and weddings = chance for family gathering, nasa 100pax na rin guest list namin with risk to go up to 120 pa. Even with this though, I think doable naman na simple pa rin program. Lalo na if mga guests natin are people who truly love us.

@mindiegirl: Thanks for sharing sis! Baka ganyan din gawin namin since same venue din ceremony and reception namin. If we follow yung typical program, mamadaliin namin yung post-nup shoot para di naman mahaba masyado yung cocktail hour.

zayduck01, I've covered a wedding before na exactly what you described. It was one of my favorite weddings to date. Yung flow ng reception nila is like this if I remember correctly:

-Entourage & Couple's Entrance
-Wine toasting & Lechon cutting (Yup! Lechon! They have a cake pero they wanted to cut the lechon instead. Very cool couple)
-Dinner (food was served per table, family style... my estimate would be 100pax)
-Couple went to each table for pictorial and then afterwards ate as well
-Speech by the parents, maid of honor and bestman
-Thank you speech by the couple
-Party, party! Band, beers and the couple rocking on with their guests!  ;D

I guess kaya na-pull off din nila yung ganyan is because majority of their guests are their friends. Parang yung nakita kong "elders" is yung mga Ninong/Ninang lang. Walang teens/tweens (although may iilang kids). Lahat close nila kaya kita mong nag-eenjoy lang sila makipagchikahan.

If you want to limit your guests, my suggestion is to have your wedding on a weekday. I'm pretty sure not ALL your relatives would be able to come.  ;)  Baka magkaroon ka pa ng room to invite your really close friends. ;D

HAHAHAH.

Haha. Im getting married in 12 days and eto yung wala pa kami. Games. The way I drafted the programme earlier, parang ok na lang ako na wala nang games so that guests and us can mingle longer. Susyalan time kumbaga.

Ours is a simple solemn ceremony with entourage and full setup. Were reserving the traditions for our church wedding next year, but were doing the first dance this year. So parang kainan and well wishers lang mostly.

So happy that there are other brides that are as simple as me.
