Wow. I wanted also an intimate wedding. Just don't know how to do this. March 2017 bride here.
Nuestra Senora de Gracia
City Garden Grand Hotel

And now that Ive seen videos of those na kinasal at nagvenue dito, parang gusto ko palitan. :(

Di ako personally naka attend pero our common friends did, I can ask around if ano comment nila. Sa tripadvisor yata ako nakabasa ng comment dati or online blog, na the bride's mom had FT then pina adjust nila yung timpla then ok naman on the day, may mga ibang nega comments din ako nabasa before.

I asked for their rates kase and definitely way way higher.

After booking almost 80% of our suppliers for our upcoming wedding, I'm starting to regret the amount of money that we are gonna spend for it. It's already a significant fraction of the amount of the house that we are building. If I have the chance to do it over again, I could've just done a very small wedding or maybe a 100 pax maximum and booked less expensive suppliers. Well, andyan na yan. Will just have fun on my wedding day. Just a random thought.

Hello, ladies! I'm a newbie here. Thankful to find this thread kasi we don't really want to spend too much for the wedding. We prefer investing for our future life as married couples. Planning palang kami, I found a venue in Bulacan w/c cost 20k (even though we and all guests are from Malabon) and a gown from Taobao w/c only cost 3k. Wedding will be (God willing) on April 2017. We'll have 150-200k budget. Start palang ako mag-back read. Hoping to learn from other soon-to-be brides here.

sorry but i feel sad nung nabasa ko ang post mo sis. :-\  madalas pa naman ako magkaroon ng wasteful thinking or what ifs, and personally, i  just feel bad. :( sana lang hindi mangyari samin ito. so, i will make sure na ayon sa gusto and budget namin ni future hubby ang maging wedding namin. i still hope na super maenjoy mo ang wedding mo sis. if you have the money to spend naman, why not splurge diba? hehe. goodluck.  :-*

^sometimes i have the same thoughts as t_r_i_c_i_a but h2b always tells me na once in a lifetime lang naman kami ikakasal, and have been blessed to come up with a wedding budget so okay lang daw yun. And ginusto naman daw namin. Haha. Tapos especially now the supplier rates are not really cheap. Our current wedding expenses can already cater for a honeymoon trip to Europe plus startup fund to build a house.

On the bright side, on our wedding day let's just enjoy and be grateful. After all, ang maiiwan naman are the memories of our special day. :)

Hello ladies!

Congrats to those who were able to pull off an intimate wedding. :)

Like a lot of the girls here, my fiance and I thought that it's best for us to focus on saving for our start-up funds for our marriage rather than splurging it all on the wedding day itself.

Tsaka ayaw talaga namin yung thought na mag-iinvite kami ng maraming tao (people who don't really know who we are), tapos gagawin silang ninong/ninang para makabawi man lang sa gastos. That's just not us.

Ngayon we're just researching on how to make a very intimate wedding (50 people) fun / memorable. parang quality over quantity kumbaga, which is very challenging considering the usual Filipino wedding is around 150 or more kaya mas mahirap maghanap ng suppliers who could cater for such a small number of guests.

Hi mga sis, i dont know if i will be included in this category but i only have 100 guest maximum. So far when we count our guest list nasa 115 na siya pero cyempre hindi lahat pupunta so we are on our target to maximum 100.

Here are the things i plan to do on our simple wedding:

1. No VIP tables (meaning all will have same treatments)
2. Principal sponsor age range from 35-45 only ( these are people who are part of our lovestory) i only have 5 pairs
3. No kids allowed only those entourage and pamangkin but for the guest strictly adult (Mr and Mrs.)
4. We limit to second degree family lang and all of our guest yung kilala lang talaga namin.
5. We dont have souvenirs only for entourage lang
6. I want to arrange program based on this setup (yung sobrang intimate lang talaga)
7. Initially we wanted to have it on hotel with 50 guest pero naisip namin halos parehas lang gastos.

^kami din we wanted our wedding to be at around 100pax maximum lang. hanggang second degree lang din ang gusto ko aside sa friends namin. pero sabi ng iba, hindi na din daw small wedding ang 100pax. :( though of course, pwede pading intimate yan. :)

-----

Naalala ko sabi nung wedding singer namin, our wedding was "Isa sa pinakasimple kasal yet sobrang sweet. Yung titigan nila ang isa't isa. Yung sweetness. Na ako ay nangilid ang luha. Sobrang sarap mainloveeee."

Mga ganung comments ang masarap marinig, hindi dahil maganda ang venue, or ang flowers, or ang gown.

Hello everyone I'm a former bride last January 2016. Just would like to share some thoughts on this. I think most of us have a dream wedding in our heart, it could be an extravagant or just a simple. Simple weddings can be also fabulous if both couples have a happy and contented  heart , have a  joyful guest that really have a big impact in their life and would stay at the end of the event. And good food that everyone would enjoy. What really matters is that on the day that God set to unite a two soul that made perfect to be one filled with Love coming Jesus. Whatever happens during the wedding, just be happy and smile because you found the one whom your soul loves :)

^^thank you sis!

^that is soooo true. Ang sabi ko nga, during our wedding, all the details didn't matter. Nakafocus ako sa amin ng asawa ko and the life we're about to build.

For those who had a wedding with under 100 guests, magkano ang nagastos nyo?

I'm expecting only 50-75 pero nasa 600k na ang projection ko.

Pero reasonable level of pagtitipid lang ginawa namin. I mean, di kami nag DIY masyado and good suppliers ang kinuha namin. Tinitignan ko nga yung listahan ko of gastos di ko din malaman why the budget is so high.

ako din sis lagpas narin budget ko knowing we only have 100 guest. I think the guest doesn't count. I just considered in intimate kasi parang 1st degree of family lang invited, if it will be grand maybe i will have 300-400 guest in total.

Wow sis LilaFowler. I think medyo mahal din talaga Panglao. Sabi nga namin, buhay probinsya presyong turista. yan siguro yung reason kaya medyo malaki estimate mo sa wedding mo.

Our estimated gastos now after booking majority of suppliers is around 700k for 220 guests.  :) Pero it's not a simple wedding, there are things we splurged on.

I have attended a wedding in tagaytay, nasa 100 din yung guests nila. Very intimate kasi halos magkakakilala kami na andun. They spend more or less 600k din daw.  :)

Pero kasama din dyan yung flights and hotels bukod pa sa hotel namin the night before. Mga 75k din yun.

Haha. Di ko talaga maisip. Talagang small things add up.

^True sis!! Sis okay na pala yung 600k because that includes fares and hotels which is actually one of the major expenses when desination wedding.

Initially planned a "small - intimate" wedding, haha kasi parang yan naman ang trend, tapos add this add that, voila, before you know it, 150 guests na kami (wala pa sa bilang ang kids since free food sila as per our Caterer basta Elementary levels) and counting.

Budget of 500k - Tagaytay is already 600k - April pa ang wedding. Wala pa yung mga gastos paguwe namin since we are both based abroad. Saya! Happy fiesta haha!

Sa add ons kasi minsan napapasubo. Minsan pinipilit ko mag hold back, pero ayoko din magsisi, since mantra nga natin, this is a once in a lifetime event.

Haha when H2B says "this is once in a lifetime" natatawa lang ako kasi this is his second wedding. Although he always says the first one is just practice, this is the real thing.

Yes, add ons ang mahal. Di ko pa sinama pala sa budget ko yung trip namin for interview with the priest, ocular and meeting with instructors.

Anyway, we wanted an intimate wedding kasi really want our friends and family to have a good time. If we had a big wedding, we would have to scrimp on a few aspects kasi we would not be able to afford it.
