i need a support group... kasi parang in my family and friends they are into the "normal" wedding...
ma and h2b have weird taste and too practical i guess.. their family is simple (like his parents are 2 senior citizens who are at home, no job or business, and h2b is bread winner) while mine is i'd say complicated (quite a few rental properties and we live in a small backyard farm where my father takes care of it and my mom works in prestige company). it's a clash between keeping it simple para naman hubby's side's simplicity is still there. alam n'yo yun??? haaaay

seriously i just want a simple wedding. not much program like me feeding h2b cake etc. i prefer mag games na lang ang mga guests... tska i'm thinking why should i spend so much na pwede naman hindi?! sa totoo lang gusto ko na magcivil wedding. lalo na guest list is now 200+. gusto pa dagdagan ng nanay ko! haaaay. wala ako mahanap na kakampi sa kapatid ko. she is into "boxed wedding" din.  :-\ my friends are telling me i read too much (girltalk maybe kasi i get a lot of ideas here?). i'm very blessed but i just want to release some steam...

^^ sis you have to be firm on what you and h2b wants. you can adjust to some of your family's ideas pero in the end, it should be your final decision na masusunod. kung puro sila masusunod, mukang d ka magiging truly happy sa kalalabasan ng wedding mo. dapat you have to be firm sis. na this is my wedding. ito ang gusto ko. :)

^^ sis just tell them, in a nice way, sis but be firm. It's your wedding ,and the wedding na they want is not you and your fiance's personality. Having a civil wedding ain't bad either. Good luck sis.

@adik_gumala
sis i think if you will be spending your own money (including h2b's) then I guess you have all the right in the world on how you want your wedding to be. Now, if parents' have shares then I suggest you and h2b discuss it with both sides. Just make sure you have a firm agreement na with your h2b then inform them(parents) of your plans and budget so they would understand. Some parents kasi don't have any idea how much weddings cost nowadays kaya invite ng invite, dictate ng dictate ng gusto. At least if they have suggestions naman, you can compromise :) Good luck sis! Hope it will be sorted out soon!

Tama mga sissies natin sis adik_gumala Be firm with your decision.
I know it's difficult to say no to your parents sis kasi we value them but look at it this way,
getting married is the first step you will take to get out of your parent's house,
the first step you will take to start your own family so this is the perfect time to start making your own decision base on what you think is best lalo at practical decisions naman.
My parents have had a lot of things to say about our wedding which I just ignored. I explained and explained though they refused to listen. I hope this is the same case with your parents. Try to have a heart to heart talk with them.

Thanks for all your encouragements mga sis. I'll definitely be firm because I don't want h2b to be a stranger in his own wedding sa dami ng guests ng side namin.

But for those whose wedding dress are very simple, don't you get that fear na baka mamaya eh may mas bongga sa kasal mo?

^Thank you sis Twinxz! Will share the pictures pero next year pa wedding ko. :)

By the way, can you girls share your reception programme please? Am just having a simple one. No garter toss, no wine churvalu.. Baka mapilitan ako mag cake cutting kasi my cake is sponsored. I also don't have the dance (first dance, father-daughter)... I don't want it to be too dull/boring. I want to have games but I'm still wondering if this will be good since casual lang ang wedding ko... Gusto ko sana is the type of game where in kasali kami ni H2b but still pondering on it what game na hindi naman bakya pero masaya...

^may coord ka ba sis? or emcee for your wedding?
usually kasi sis the emcee prepares the program, then you can inform her na walang garter toss, wine toasting..

i posted here last time about our plans sa church wedding.

mukhang sa civil wedding din ang bagsak (which is what i originally wanted).
after my h2b gave me his nod na ok sa kanya ang civil wedding (kasi he is worried about what the relatives from both sides will say -- na ang tagal tagal na namin mag bf/gf that gusto lang namin ikasal sa civil, something like that… though ako wala ako pakialam lol).. it brought the stress level down.

I only have less than 25 guests sa wedding ko and here's my planned program. Note that I haven't consulted with a wedding host yet:

* First dance with hubby (I think this is for us so we want to do this for us talaga)

* Father-daughter dance (I want to dance with my papa kahit once lang in my life! hehe. I asked him if gusto nya speech or dance, dance nalang daw kasi baka maiyak sha sa speech)

* Cake cutting

* AVP slideshow of childhood photos and photos na together na kami kasi almost 10 years rin yun and prenup pics

* 1 game activity

* Speeches (maid of honor, bestman, father of the groom, mother of the bride and will ask my friends kung sino pa gusto mag speech para tumagal ang program hehe)

* SDE (I opted for an SDE kasi nga kaunti lang naman ang program)

* sky lantern activity (bonding time!)

Well so far ito palang.

^^ your itinerary looks great sis, 😊😊 . Residential kasi, and nagkaron na yata ng incident sa tagaytay na may nasunugan or something, kaya we have to opt for something different. hehe. Goodluck sa preps.

Initially i wanted a civil pero h2b really wants to have a church wedding. So i gave in. Pero condition is ill make it the simplest possible. Haaay.

Hi girls!

My bf and I are planning to get married next year after ng construction ng house namin. And because of that, all our savings napunta na sa house. Wala na kami budget for a traditional church wedding + 200 guests. Bale after ng wedding, diretso sa house for blessing then reception na. Kumbaga simple celebration ang nangyari for 2 events. Planning to invite 50 guests pero not sure kung ilan ang dadating. Sabi ko i-sched nalang namin on a weekday. hehe.

What I have in mind is syempre meron pa rin ninong and ninang. Pero wala na ako entourage. Ako nalang mag-isa lalakad sa aisle. Mga 15 minutes lang daw yun. What do you think mga sis?

^catholic ba kayo sis? if yes, better ask your church admin kung ano requirements. pwede naman yung ganun kahit walang entourage basta may 2 witnesses kayo. OK din yang naisip mo! Tipid! :)
No idea how long yung ganun pero sabi nga saglit lang.. yung TS nito sa part 1 ganyan ang ginawa. Pero suggestion lang sis ha, hire pa din kayo ng P/V kahit service lang just to document everything!

Happy preps!
