^fancywoman SSJ doesn't hold weddings on Sunday mornings based on the information pamphlet I got from last year. Only schedule on Sundays is 2:00-3:30pm and 4:00-5:30pm. They only have morning weddings from Monday to Saturday.

Looking for insights for the ff items:

- Traffic situation within the vicinity pag March on a friday? Light of Love kasi ang napili nmen na reception. Iniisip ko kung sapat na ba na mag allot ng 1hr para sa byahe from SSJ going to LOL.

- Any hotel recommendation para sa pre wedding preps?

- Yung basic sound system ng church, pwede ba mag request na ibahin ang song for bridal march? or required ba muna ang upgrade?

^hi sis, safe naman 1 hour to light of love, use the wilson and san juan route para madali palabas ng araneta ave less than an hour andun na kayo

Crowne plaza, edsa shang, oakwood, marco polo, linden suites, discovery are the ones close by for hotel preps

his sis machalover! thanks nabuhay yung thread, wala akong maka chika na SSJ bride din.

nakakainis na hindi ko na consider yung traffic. Monday wedding pa naman kame. 

Plan ko sa Oakwood, kaso namamahalan talaga ako eh. My sister's wedding sa Linden ang preps kasi malaki at sulit, kaso ayun, same background kame sa mga picutes and videos, haha. kaya gusto ko sana sa Oakwood. These 2 hotels lang yung may super spacious room kasi eh.


Sa basic sound system, ano yung upgrade? wala ako idea. Akala ko kasama na to sa church? pati choir, sila na din ba kakanta nung mga our father, ganyan?

for the preps, first option ko sana Crowne Plaza dahil may friend kami who can give us a discount, pero nadidiliman ako sa general feel niya at medyo dated ang decor. Sa mga on-site videos na nakita ko, pinaka-type ko na yata yung Edsa Shang dahil sa garden/pool area na pwede nang pang beach wedding feels ^_^ Will look into Oakwood and other hotels in the area.

^ same tayo sis ng feeling about Crowne Plaza. Also considering it kasi my sister used to work there. Makakakuha kami ng discount. Kaso medyo luma na and madilim.

SSJ Bride here for next year pa naman Booked the church already. Magkakaproblem lang kami sa traffic kasi 4pm wedding kami na Sunday. Ang sabi ng OTD coordinator, yung guards ng Greenhills will not allow cars to enter pag hindi pa naka-exit yung mga 2PM wedding guests.

Hi girls, newbie here and SSJ bride sa November.

i would like to ask some tips regarding the follwing lang sana.

Questions:
1. As of this year, meron nabang brides na nakapag incorporate ng personal vows? kasi diba parang bawal na ata but I read sa ibang church or depende ata sa priest sometimes they allow you after the rites? not sure about this one. if may ideas kayo or news if this is possible please let me know.

2. Sino ang recommended priest niyo for SSJ weddings? I'm still thinking kasi kung magiinvite nalang ba kame ng priest or ok na yung Parish priest ng SSJ?

3. If magdadala kayo ng sarili niyong priest ano ang mga requirements? and how is the process for this? as well as additional fees?

4. Regarding the sound system pano yung naging diskarte niyo? I'm not planning of getting any band kasi for my wedding but i've read in other blogs and reviews na they just pay the upgrade with Ronald and siya na bahala sa songs and may soloist din sya. sa mga nakatry na kay Ronald ok naman ba?


If may additional tips kayo for me that would really be helpful.

^Sis, kami rin we just went with Sir Ronald. Okay naman siya (hirap nga lang ma-contact). The soloist he gave us was female - depende raw sa choice of song for bridal march. We paid extra 3k na lang for extra songs sa pictorial and special songs for the entrance, bridal march, and some of the mass songs.

We only paid 3k for the entrance song, bridal march, and additional 10 songs during pictorials. He didn't specify what songs we can customise with the 3k so I sent him a list of "suggested" mass songs as well. Pero nilagyan ko ng "if possible" I can't remember if he followed all the songs on my list, but I do remember that the offertory and communion songs were those on my list.

SSJ bride here! I have several questions too:

1. Do you have the number of Ronald? Iniisip ko kasi magupgrade cos I've read some comments na hindi daw ganun kalakas yung sound system. Though ang iniisip ko kasi sa wedding ko gusto ko ng strings.

2. Violin sana for may entrance, pero nagcacater ba sya ng ganung service? Pwede kasi ako kumuha sa labas, kaso sayang hindi ko na namaximize yung mga inclusions sa church even the flowers.

3. Allowed ba ang sparklers sa labas? Kasi hapon yung wedding ko.

Some facts:
1. Anyways since I work around the area, I think tolerable ang traffic pag weekdays ng summer. March - May. Pag may pasok, 1-5pm schedule of wedding is okay.

Pero Sat, traffic! E sat pa naman din ako.

2. Edsa Shang is the best hotel na nga ata talaga na malapit sa kanya. Others are small, pero ok lang naman kahit saan basta swak sa budget.

3. You guys can consider Glass Garden, I think okay din sya as a reception. Cheaper than the hotels surrounding SSJ.

^ i have the same questions sis, hope someone can answer. And I want to add the following items:

1. About the traffic, saturday wedding din ako! At blue leaf mckinley pa reception! Ilang minutes/hours kaya aabutin ng byahe?
2. Are u going to style the church? Or at least upgrade the flowers? around how much kaya ang aabutin?
3. Who's the current officiating priest ng SSJ? Ok ba siya? Bawal na ba talaga ang vows?
4. Baka may map sa inyo ng SSJ to Blue Leaf Mckinley.. I need it for my invitation e.. Can't find one..

Hi Sis lyr3hs

1. Based on my experience, ang traffic lang usually sa Greenhills is the entrance part. Kasi there are cars going in and out of the gh shopping center. But when you pass by Annapolis going to Edsa, its clear naman. The traffic is very unpredictable these days, I'm no expert sa daan but when you cross edsa going to Ultra, straight lang yun labas na c5 near mc kinley and market market na. So I guess 30 mins will do, but to be safe give an allowance.

2. Yes, it can go as low as 15k-30k depending on the choice of flowers. Pero depende rin sa stylist na napili mo or sa add ons, like arch, tulle, curtains etc. So far yun palang pinakamura ko nakita 15-18k.

3. No idea about the priest. Pero I've seen some na may wedding vows early this year.

4. Do you have someone who will make your invitation? Sometimes they do the layout.

Hi sis, around 30-45 mins form SSJ to Marriot assuming there's no traffic jam. Pero parang lately laging matraffic sa area ng Marriot. If you're leaving SSJ at around 6pm, there will be no more light for the photoshoot in Marriot. Your photographer and videographer will have to use their own lighting

Hi mga sis. Sobrang layo ba ng SSJ sa Marriot? Concern kasi ako baka mabitin time for pictorials. My wedding kasi is 4pm since according to feng shui yun daw best time namin to wed.
