Hey girls!

Just sharing lang: I've started enquiring with designers na and 10 points agad to Von Lazaro for replying to my email 15 minutes after I sent it!! (Plus additional 5 points kasi mahaba email ko and pinagpasensyahan nya yun haha)

His reply felt very personal and he even had initial recommendations na to my peg. The quote is a bit up there though but just from this experience I'm very tempted to book him (being an overseas bride, big plus if they're very easy to work with)!!

The other designers haven't responded yet but I just sent the email this afternoon so I'm in no rush hehe

Hi sis! Thank you sa concern! 20k lang budget ko. Yung 25k medyo lalagnatin na ako. I visited both Haydee Garcia and Roxy Bagano na, pero both quoted me 35k. My sister even promised to give additional 20k sa budget ko, pero its not about the budget per se. Di ko lang masyado matanggap gumastos ng malaki for a gown. Kaya ayun andaming limitations sa pagpili. Laki [textspeak!] ng problema eh no? Sorry!

Hey sis lyr3hs! Wedding is on June 2016 (funnily enough I never thought I'd go for a June wedding but yun ang lumbers sa feng shui haha), but won't be able to fly back to Manila until probably September or October.. Will schedule an online consultation with Von but am just waiting for responses from other designers (I've lined up Mel Orlina, Joe San Antonio, Andrea Tetangco and Mara Chua) before proceeding haha

oo nga e, naisip din namin yun na mura na sya bilang couture gown. I also tried ivory and white at 30k++ din ang gowns dun. if ganun, better option talaga ang couturier. I will try sa greenbelt 5 later kung may mas mura sa 20k na rtw. If not, i might go to Roxy na. thank you!

hi sis! magdesigner suit ba si h2b mo? kasi one of our sisses here suggested ang Gardini, and we're considering that option too. I think they have several branches around the metro. Ang isa pang option namin is to visit naman ang Onesimus depot sa bandang Boni.

Hi barbeecue, my fiance has all his suits made overseas, but my friend's husband got his wedding suit from Bergamo and he was happy with it. I haven't seen Tiño's work in person but one of my friends has had a suit made there. He said the head tailor used to work at Brioni, so I'd expect the workmanship to be of a very high standard.

Hey sevenstars, can I check with you where your fiance has his suits made, and how much they usually cost? Our wedding will be in HK so I'm thinking of having his suit done there but the price isn't as low as it used to be kasi, and am looking around for where it can be done in Manila rin.

Oooh thanks for this sis! I'll go through your suggestions no preference naman ako if designer or custom made. though i want one that's well-made and maganda yung fit kay h2b.

thanks, thanks for the recommendation sevenstars. where i'm getting my gown kasi has a tie up with a haberdasher and is offering services for 15-20k for a suit. the suits were really nice but 15-20k sounds a bit too much ata for suit? anyway, thanks again!

I agree - our fiances would get more mileage out of suits especially when they wear business formal at work. I'm also thinking: him spending ~25K on a suit he can definitely wear more than once (even if he doesn't wear it to work he can use it in another formal event) is a better deal than me spending 3x that amount on something I might only wear once and just take apart after the wedding. Kaya I encourage him to invest on his tux para I don't feel so bad hahaha

Anyways just a question to Coca Couture or Joe San Antonio brides out there: how long does it take for them to respond to messages? Do they respond more with SMS/calls or emails? (Being based overseas, I tried to contact them via email first. It's not been more than a week naman but everyone else I contacted has responded na kasi hehe)
