What is your theme?

vintage is such a classic theme...i love the 20s, 30s, and 40s...maybe you can pick a particular decade and stick with the visuals from that decade like art nouveau of the 20s or the pin up style of the 40s

ako rin mga sis wala kong maisip na theme pero im looking at mint and peach color, pale hues. Anong theme ba pwede sa ganun?

Mint is a very cool color. With peach, parang spring sya, parang these colors evoke garden ano?

In the beginning, we did not really have a theme. We have ideas, but not exactly a theme. When choosing colours, we did swatches to know exactly if our favourite colours would complement each other. To cut the long story short, all our ideas worked out to have an Alice in Wonderland theme. We asked friends for branches and twigs to make it look "forest-y" and we had some over-sized cards printed and we hung them to the ceiling. And we are so glad that we have absolutely wonderful friends who helped us make everything happen.

Ang ganda naman ng Alice in Wonderland, sis! Pati yung idea ninyo na oversized cards, love it!

We don't have a theme in mind either. Everyone keeps asking me for my theme and I simply reply, "basta hindi vintage/shabby chic!" (Disclaimer: I have nothing against shabby chic. I think it's super pretty but it really isn't me so I'm trying other ideas) All I know is that I want a lot of flowers, mood lights, candelabras, mirrors and wine. Siguro classic romance?

If I really had it my way (+ an unlimited budget), I'd go for a fairytale wedding! Heehee.

That was my dilemma too, sis Reese! My sister kept bugging me for my theme, I told her I just wanted heavy mood lighting, lots of flowers, and candles/votives on the tables. It looked really classy sis! I was very happy with the turnout. I didn't get a stylist, I just hired a florist to add more flowers but basically the flowers from our caterer were good enough.

^ wow, congratulations joy89!!! One can never go wrong with flowers, candles and good lighting. In our case kasi, we have an in-house caterer as part of the venue package so their standard setup includes votive candles lang so I really need to get a stylist.

True sis! Actually lucky lang rin kami kasi one lang yung event nung caterer that day since January 2 yung
wedding namin. So I guess they went all out with my requests sa votives, and the flower arrangements were nicely done:)

Haha, yes sis! They were clueless regarding themes and sobrang nagugulat sila pag nalalaman na yung wedding rates and budgets. Sobrang nag-evolve na Talaga

Dito sa part na to ako hirap na hirap. Hindi kasi ako creative. I want something not so ordinary pero di naman ako makaisip. Whenever I browse Pinterest andami kong nagugustuhan pero di naman pwede iincorporate lahat. In the end my fiance and I decided to stick with music for our theme. that's what brought us closer kasi. Then yung venue namin is an enclosed garden so we will add rustic and wood elements. Yung motif namin ay violet and light blue. buti na lang my SIL is very creative and she helps me out a lot by giving ideas!

Hi. My bf wants 18th century theme. But I don't quite like it. Hindi sa ayaw pero mahirap kasi achieve. Saka medyo magastos yata yon. Mahirap pa maghanap ng venue. I am looking at Mango Farm or Sitio Elena eh. So dapat mala garden and theme. I was thinking kung Modern Vintage lang kaso diba masyadong "gasgas" na yung theme na yon? Any ideas?

how about a secret garden theme? you can use big white vases overflowing with vines and flowers on the tables and have the vines run to the edges. your backdrop can be a vine-covered wall with a secret little doorway. you can use keys as napkin holders. you can also have a photo-taking area where it has a vine-covered wall backdrop and keys hanging all over. think of oversized, old-fashioned keys.

I saw Casa Real, magmumukhang 18th century kaya? Natatakot kasi akong i-risk ang theme na to for my own wedding. i will be needing lots of courage to push through this theme.
