hi fantabulous, have you finalized the styling? you can definitely do a filipiniana wedding since you have already asked your guests to wear filipiniana. this is actually my coordinator's favorite theme and she's planning one in april so she has these really beautiful capiz lanterns for that wedding. why don't you bring in capiz to your decors? have some capiz lanterns hanging around then some capiz decors on the tables

Di naman need ang theme. Pero mas madali kasi ang planning pag may theme. Like samin wala lang talaga nung una, now, travel na. So lahat may element ng travel kahit konti lang.
Basically themes help in putting things in perspective. In your case sis, since you've already indicated what attire you want, then i think youre leaning towards Filipiniana theme.Initially we thought of 80/90s since we and most of our guests are from these generation. But i don't want the kitschy style and color (neon!) that are identified with these. Color I want is burnt orange and burlap, which are usually identified naman w rustic. So we've decided that music will be 80s/90s to create the vibe we want while venue will be mostly in orange and burlap texture. Invits/souvenirs/decors are cross of both.
We're not having a single unified theme, but we're incorporating small touches of things we love: films, books, travel. And style-wise we're sticking to a relatively modern aesthetic (so that helped us eliminate lots of beautiful, popular touches -- like vintage furniture, wood slices, etc) kasi we realised it's not really our style.fantabulous, I think you could go for a beautiful contemporary Filipiniana look with your colour palette
sis fantabulous, if you want nice items with touch of Filipiniana, you can also try Quiapo, yung ilalim ng tulay. Those items sold in malls can be found there at half the price. maybe you can use shells/capiz as accents/name card holder/napkin ring, etc. para it wouldnt look so formal but there are touches here and there. Our colors is black and white. Wala ng theme. Wala ko maisip eh hahaha! Just classic black and white. Maybe some crystals kung kakayanin pa.
hi fantabulous, i was thinking how you can incorporate your lovely cobalt blue wedding color into the decorations and i just had a thought...maybe you can use the iconic philippine jeepney as a recurring motif? i keep thinking of a cobalt blue jeepney as your backdrop...instead of table numbers, use famous philippine landmarks instead to identify tables and use a postcard in a cobalt blue frame as the table identifier so you'll have a bohol table, palawan table, davao table, etc.
