Of course you can plan a head even without savings on hand.
Basta ang importante you set a budget plan (magkano ba ang satingin nyo kaya nyong gamitin/spend for the wedding).
Search lang ng search muna until magkaroon kayo ng enough savings for down payment sa supplier na confirmed nyo na ng partner mo na kukunin.

I highly suggest na gumawa kayo ng excel file and list down all your needs/necessity sa wedding and tab in package inclusions and price ng mga major and minor suppliers needed. 
And if may extra pa, then go for the wants or good to have.

Hi sis, care to share your caterer here? Para aware din yung ibang B2Bs natin just in case may kapareho ka ng supplier.
I agree with sis rowan, give them until January. Then kulitin mo na sila via phone if possible. Hehe.

Kakastart palang kasi namin magipon late last year.

Hindi ko din alam kung sa Bulacan nalang kami para mas mura (Meycauayan) or sa Manila kasi [textspeak!] ibang suppliers may OOT fee. Naguguluhan na ako. Budget wedding kasi kami, as much as possible 200k lang magastos namin kaso parang hindi talaga kaya. Willing to stretch to 300k pero max na yun.

Matagal tagal pa naman ang wedding mo, so I think makakapag-ipon pa kayo ng husto. Try to scout din ng suppliers from Bulacan mismo, I believe makakatipid kayo nun. HTH.

Already booked the church (DB Makati) and reception (Blue Leaf Pavilion) last December.
Still thinking if we will get their Wedding Package. Anyone here who will also have their reception in Blue Leaf? Thanks.

We started planning November last year and January 2017 naman kami so almost a year left nalang. Our initial budget is 350k for 100-120 pax pero we're now 100k over our initial budget. Hay really hard to let go of the things that we want pero we have to be practical. Now we are working on our budget ulit.

@rowan: Yes po. Blue Leaf Pavilion in McKinley. They still don't have the rates for 2017. According to our AE it will be released soon. Sana before the Getting Married Bridal Fair para we can decide na on our caterer. I saw before that you already booked yours. Which caterer did you choose? Thanks!

Im beginning to worry that if I wont get our date in JP2, baka not available na rin ibang churches within the area who have opened up their 2017 bookings since Dec 2015 pa.

i got k by cunanan, non negotiable siya for me. havent had FT but i attended a couple of weddings with her as caterer already:) heard passion cooks and albergus are good too. or if you have budget, bizu:)

Ano nangyari sis? Bakit daw hindi pa pwede magpa-reserve? I thought Jan2016 sila mag-open for 2017 events.

wala pa raw siya nagawa calendar for 2017 and pag usapan pa daw nila ni father ang 2017 sked parang gusto ko na magpareserve ng back up church though my fiance said matagal pa naman kami, june 2017. ang hirap lang coz i want the church date confirmed for the other suppliers plus some of our guests will be flying from overseas pa.

Much better sis if you will scout for back-up chapel/church. Para lang may other options pa kayo just in case hindi ma-push through yung preferred church mo.

Actually, I can relate. As I've mentioned before, after Holy Week pa nag-a-accept ng 2017 bookings yung preferred church ko, which is Paco Park Chapel. Jan 2017 wedding namin ha. Medyo worried din kami syempre. 1yr nalang tapos yung church ang hindi pa sure sa amin. Wala pa rin ako ma-consider na other options.

Ang hirap sis maghanap ng pang-back up especially if meron ka nang napusuan na simbahan.

^^ rowan, I agree. Better reserve a back up church just to be sure. When we reserved our church, medyo madami ng nakareserve na weekend dates. Buti na lang we still got the date that we wanted.

Heard a lot of good things about K by Cunanan. But still want to see the rates of the other caterers for 2017. Bizu's just too expensive for us. Can you tell me once you get a copy of Blue Leaf's 2017 packages? Thanks.

@rowan: I suggest you call other churches and see if you can pencil book? Or at least to check if they're already booked for your date or not. This is my biggest regret!

I waited until last Dec 1st to book Santuario de San Antonio since they would not accept bookings for 2017 before that (but my aunt who said she'd book for me, went a day late, and someone else got the slot :S). That same day, I called 3 other churches and they already had other bookings (fully paid) on my date! ALL afternoon slots were taken! I ended up with my 5th choice church, haha!

^thats my worst nightmare stella021817! i actually called a couple of churches to check if our date is still free. date is still available but we need to pay a downpayment, no pencil booking allowed. super tempted to be honest as our back up churches, CTK, SSJ, and, SSA are more popular than our first choice 7k yung sa SSJ, im kinda willing to shell it out for my piece of mind. problem lang sa SSJ is if we get them, pareho na kami ng church and reception ng bestman ni fiance.

Hi sis! Yan din naging problem ko. Last Oct 2015, ayaw pa mag pa book ng Sancturio San Jose. Na stress din ako kasi I can't book other suppliers pag hindi pa nabobook yung church. Although nag assure naman sa akin si MIL na sure na yun kasi may contact siya sa church pero sympre mahirap pa rin. Puro pencil booking lang but not all suppliers allow that. Nawala tuloy first choice ko sa photo, host and hmua. Buti na lang nung Dec 2015 we were able to secure the church na for my Jan 2017 wedding. Ask mo na lang sis when sila mag oopen ng date para umagang umaga pa lang pwede ka na mag down payment.
