Weird question. Ano sasabihin sa supplier kapag ganto pa kalayo yung date? Once kasi nag inquire ako sinabi ko 2017 yung date, sabi nya wala pa daw sya price for 2017.

So madalas sinasabi ko nalang 2016, para bigyan nila ko ng rate nila, para may idea ko. Haha.

^^ Hehe sis herminone28 medyo maaga pa naman kasi talaga to plan for 2017. Some suppliers have not yet decided on how much to price their services then kaya walang mabigay. Yung mga nagbibigay, either hindi nagpprice lock (like my venue where price depends on the wedding year and not how early you book) or bibigay sayo yung 2016 rate nila as that is the nearest. Relax relax muna kayo, a lot of new suppliers will shine pa in 1.5 years and a lot of new venues, stylists, etc will become available to engaged couples. I kinda researched early on din before but realized nga na doble effort lang din kasi mas relevant yung research ko pag 1-1.5 years to go nalang. Use the quotations now as indications nalang sis sa wedding budget nyo, +10-20%

sis sparkingjewel - for budgeting purpose lang din talaga yung pag inquire ko. at para malaman ko how much ba talaga ang shell out for each supplier.

Ang gusto ko lang sa maagang preparation yung DIY. Ang hirap kaya, as least madami magagawa!
Baka magulat nalang ako, na decorate ko na yung buong Venue on DIY lang haha. spell OA.

^That's good sis if you have ample space at home to store all your DIYs properly. Ako condo so wala akong space, and besides some DIYs end up collecting dust if not used right away or will look panget so I will probably start DIYs if any a month before the wedding lang...

Hello!

Getting married Feb 2017 din but we prioritized booking the Church / Reception Venues na para those 2 big ticket items are out of the checklist na. And honestly, I don't want to be stressed and mapilitan magbook ng venue or church na ayaw ko because yun nalang available.

I actually reserved the Church (Calaruega) a week after getting engaged coz we already knew we wanted to get married there. I contacted them via email for availability and turns out madami nang booked for Jan-Feb 2017. Meron na din daw booked for 2018 (excited much!). Mejo nagpanic so I booked na agad.

My coordinator friend suggested to use this long period to scout for caterers (try them for family gatherings, etc.) and if meron nang matry na ok, book them by year end para di na affected ng price increase for 2016. What do you guys think about this? Good idea ba?

I have already started my "excel file" of suppliers and budget. Hehe. I've also started reaching out to some suppliers and was actually surprised that the ones i'm interested in are already open to 2017 dates

Don't want to get stressed out as well with all the planning.

I'd also like to add, because I experienced a DIY wedding na 3-4 years ago. My friend used paper flowers. If you're planning to do something like it, aside from worrying about collecting dust, the flowers didn't maintain their - uh - poofy-ness We had to puff them up again the day before the wedding.

I'd also like to add, because I experienced a DIY wedding na 3-4 years ago. My friend used paper flowers. If you're planning to do something like it, aside from worrying about collecting dust, the flowers didn't maintain their - uh - poofy-ness We had to puff them up again the day before the wedding.

Meron nadin ako nakitang ganito, white paper flowers naman kanya so super halata yung dust and sobrang hassle naman linisin i guess kasi masisira yung form nung flower.. oh well, ingat lang talaga about preparing DIYs too early. Kung pwede nga 1-2 weeks before the wedding lang e magkakadust at mapipisa parin yun. Pero i will advise against putting these in the reception tables where there's food, it's just not sanitary kasi to see dust while eating. I'd lose my appetite. :p
