^ sis maybe you can talk to them and say something like "medyo tight yung budget namin and bilang lang yung number of guests. kung may sobra sa headcount namin ill let you know if kaya pang i-accommodate, pero for now hindi talaga kaya magdagdag eh" something like that. a friend once told me this and I think its a lot better to tell the truth rather than ignore their request. they would understand naman if they are really your friends.

yung sa mga guests nyo na may gusto isama
tell them ichecheck nyo, pag may nagcancel ng reservation youll inform them agad na pwede dalin ang date o kasama nila,
iconsider nyo rin mamaya walang kakilala yung guest nyo ang akward naman kung magisa lang siya pero kung may kakilala na iba dapat carry na magisa...
if youre friend is already married.. matic yun invited narin ang asawa...

Nababasa ko posts nyo dito, hoping for a budget na 200 to 300k for 100 to 150 guests. Pasay area wedding. Nakatipid na ss P/V, dami ko freebies at binago sa package nila pero same rate. Invites ko Php4500 na 100pcs na yun with free thank you cards. Still stressing where to buy/get my gown, his suit, our abays. Nabasa ko rin dito na yung abay na sasagot ng damit nila, How do I tell them that? I feel kasi na automatic na pag kinuha mo sila as abay e ikaw agad sasagot ng gowns nila. Medyo off topic but do I really need to have misalettes printed? TIA

I will break down my budget later but I will not indicate my wedding suppliers yet for I have a negative review sa kanila. I don't want to sabotage my photos and videos di pa kasi na-release e but I will definitely share my experience soon.

you can tell them, "hi <name>, instead of buying us a wedding gift, can you just shoulder the cost of your gown?" this was how my friend told me we'll be paying for our gowns :-)

-i had 1 MOH, 3 bridesmaids and 3 SS. yung 3 Secondary sponsors ko ay: 2 sisters ng husband ko at isang sorority sister. Ang bridesmaids ko naman ay: 1 cousin ng husband ko at 2 cousins ko. Ang MOH ay cousin ko din. wala kasi akong kapatid.

so ang ginawa namin: hinati namin ang pagsasabi sa mga kamaganak namin. my husband asked his sisters and cousin to shoulder the cost of their gowns and their makeup. I asked my MOH-cousin and 1 bridesmaid na cousin ko din to shoulder the cost of their gowns also. Dun sa sorority sister ko and isa pang cousin na medyo starting pa lang magwork, i asked them if it would be ok for them na hati kami sa gowns. by the way, 2,500 each ang gowns nila. dun sa sorority sister ko at dun sa cousin na hati kami sa gown nila, I also shouldered the HMUA service. Sa flower girls naman 3 din, 2 yung anak ng mga cousins ko (magkaiba parents) at isang anak ng friend ko. Ang FG gowns 1,500 each- hati kami nung dalawa, tapos dun sa isang anak ng cousin ko ako na ang sumagot. kasi yung mom niya naman sumagot ng souvenirs ko.

pagdating naman sa groomsmen, Male SS and best man lahat sila pumayag na ishoulder ang cost ng suit rental which cost 900 each per set (coat, shirt and pants). tapos we gave them custom-made silk bowties.

kame sa ento na may work, sagot nila ang gowns nila. pag student pa, kame.
though sa make up kanya-kanya silang diskarte. mostly kase sa kanila ay i'm sure na hesitant maglabas ng 1k for make-up and the rest naman can do their own make-up so baka magtulungan na lang sila.

^kaugalian kasi sa family namin na between relatives pag may kinakasal sa amin, yung mga abay na kamag-anak ang sagot sa gowns nila.

agree sis. karamihan ng kasal na napuntahan ko kanya-kanyang sagot ng gowns din. good thing na lang na lahat ng female ento namin ay very close relatives kaya di kame masyadong nahiyang mag-ask sa kanila to shoulder the gowns as their wedding gift to us.

Siguro best din to make sure the cost is reasonable, if you're asking for it as a gift. I know someone din kasi na ganito ang ginawa, pero the bride decided on P10k designer gowns. Nagkasamaan ng loob tuloy.

wow sis sevenstars! 10k!!! ok lang siguro kung puro uppercrust type ang ento na tipong barya sa kanila yan.. pero para sa mga simpleng tulad ko nalula ako sa presyo. i'll be charging 1k lang per ento and i made sure na it's something na pwede nilang masuot ulit para masulit ang bayad nila.

Grabe, 10k?! Andami ko na nabili sa 10k! Haha next time pag nay nag ask sakin mag bridesmaid I will make sure itatanong ko muna ang cost ng gown ko. Hehe!

Yung sa amin, 4k each gown sa ento. Hati kami. Shoulder nila ang make up. Agree naman sila lahat (thankfully) saka yung ibang close ko talaga na may kaya sa life, they offered to pay the amount in full.

^that's right sis. wala naman nagalit sa akin kasi 2,500 lang ang price ng gown ng bawat SS,BM at MOH. for two of them, i only asked for 1,000 each and I actually shouldered the remaining 1,500. one of the BMs, na cousin ko ay high school student pa, pero her dad (my uncle) really wanted her to be part of the bridal party so he asked me to pick his daughter and he volunteered to shoulder the cost of the gown.

Sisters ng husband ko also paid for their own gowns and makeup. one of my SIL even shouldered the flowers for the church setup which cost 10k. we were very grateful to her.

all of them loved the customized gowns. and come wedding day, all of them were very happy to wear the gowns. note pa, we did not even have to go to Divisoria and risk the lives (and pockets) of my female entourage members.
