galing namin ni dad mo.. ang cute tignan na when you distribute your invites, you'll tell them, there were created by your father. Parehas tayo below 10k ang budget ng gown.. that's my core din sa wedding gown.. ayoko masyadong mahal.. i always believe kasi, the bride will always be beautiful on the wedding day kaya ayoko masyado mag splurge sa gown. God bless sa wedding mo on January.. =)

his bro pogi02, bella ibarra kami.. mas simple pa nga styling sa bella compared sa ibarra's garden.. sana malaman nga ng mga taga ibarra na sa catering these days, hindi lang basta masarap ang food, dapat competitive na rin sa design styling.. sabagay free naman venue natin at very affordable kasi talaga rates nila.. yung upgrade kasi ng styling nila medyo namamahalan ako.. So i'm planning to DIY.. sa backdrop papa gawa ako sa florist ko den dagdagan ko na lang ng ribbons and white christmas lights.. yung sa table naman, preferred ko talaga short centerpieces lang.. i'll bring extra vases den order na lang ako flower.. I'll make sure lang na may friend akong magaayos dun..

Natanong mo ba sa ibarra if you can choose flowers, color of table lines, etc.. di pa kasi kami nagbayad n g 50% so di ko pa na-aaddress lang ng concern ko..

Actually, yan din yung concern ko. Masyadong basic ang styling nila, traditional. So dapat magdala ka talaga ng stylist or sariling florist. Hindi pa kami nakapag-detailing and di ko rin natanong yan, kaya di ko pa alam kung makakapili tayo ng table linens. Pero I think, susundan naman nila yung motif natin. (Hope so!)
Sa flowers, kung ano yung kasama sa package nila, yun lang yung pwede. Actually ayoko ng florist nila, kaya balak namin magdala ng sariling florist, pero budgeted pa din. Kaya scouting ako sa murang florsit. May nakuha ka na ba?

Nakapag-FT na kami, me & h2b liked the flavors, masarap yung food nila.
Matagal pa wedding namin sis, Jan2017, excited much lang magpa-book ng suppliers.

Ayan, tip din sa mga budget wedding, mag-book ng maaga kahit DP lang or reservation fee ang i-provide, kahit more than a year pa ang wedding day nyo para ma-price lock yung mga suppliers since nowadays, drastic ang increase ng rates nila.

ako nga this August na ang wed namin hahah, bakit tayo andito sa 2016 brides.. i'm 2015 bride and you're 2017 naman.. hahah..
Di pa kami nakapag food tasting, relax mode pa din.. =) 3 months na lang..
re styling, naku concern ko yang flowers nila.. sana naman sa bella, they allow me to choose flower, di kasi type yung astro flower.. then dagdagan ko na lang.. May nakuha na ko florist.. sa Dangwa.. Siya kasi yung florist sa church namin, so might as well siya na rin kunin ko para isa lang ang kausap ko.. Mura din yung package niya entourage flowers.. di naman kasi siya masyado kilala sa GT.. name niya Marimar Zapanta.. nasa dulo ng Dangwa, malapit sa terminal.

Initial budget in mind is 800k kaso dahil may iba kaming priorities ni fiance, we lowered it to 300k for 100 pax. And then, nung naghahanap na kami ng suppliers tumaas, haha.. ginawa namin 400k na and excluded yung wedding band sa budget na yan. Wedding na namin in 3 weeks time, estimated actual cost will be 550k. Wahaha... Feeling ko overpriced na yung ibang suppliers. Basta malaman na for wedding ang taas na ng quote.  Hindi naman kasi lahat ng ikakasal ganun kayaman di ba.

Our is 700k max (with a 10% buffer, so dapat 640k lang), excluding the honeymoon, preps, and entourage outfits. 250pax, Tagaytay. Largest expenses are food, photo, video and rings. The venue preps are a gift from my parents, so at least malaking chunk din siya. We're getting the suite for the preps. But everything else, we're paying for them. Still thinking nga of creative ways to decrease expenses pa. Maybe scrimp a bit on the flowers since our church and reception venue, Sonya's, are pretty na as they are. And pretty as they are, flowers just wilt and die Doing away with souvenirs, too. Just the thank you gifts for the principal sponsors and small tokens for our entourage

Ideally, it's 250k. Sagad na sagad na ang 350k.
Konti pa lang nabobook namin, and based on estimates, asa 280k.
Ewan ko nga bakit ang laki pa din, to think wala na kaming church, same venue for ceremony and reception. Hindi ko naman gagastusan ang gown, max na ng 5k lalabas namin for that, I want simple lang kasi. But kahit tipid lahat, nag a-add up pa din yung mga maliliit na bagay.

But hopefully we can stick with 300k max.

^SIs try to keep your number of guests small kasi doon talaga lumalaki yung expenses eh. Pero of course it is much easier said than done! Problema ko to eh, how to keep our guest list 200 pax and below.  Ang hirap because we come from big families.

Destination weddings are hindi biro nga talaga. Before we intended to allot 400k for a 150 guests. But catering lalang, abot na kami 200k. hehe. Now we are in 600k max, kasama na honeymoon, extra budget on the wedding day.

Somebody suggested before na we shouldnt bring cash kasi they know na we are handling money pa rin on the day. We are thinking of bringing a cheque nalang or entrust the cash to our relatives kasi hindi naman nila iwawaglit yung bags nila, or pwde sa coordinator? Kayo sis kanino ninyo pinatago? hehe. Baka kasi yung pagkakatiwalaan namin eh manakaw si bag, naku! Touchwood. hehe

sis Maxim04, IMO ok lang siguro sa coordinator just make sure na na-build na yung trust mo sa kanila kasi mahirap din naman isapalaran(lalim) yung pera sa ibang tao. If you have closest friend or relative you can trust, better. I've heard and red horror stories about losing their money on their wedding day.

I segregated the money intended for the suppliers by placing them inside sealed envelopes. At the back of each envelope, i placed the amount and the name of the supplier for whom it is intended. On the day of the wedding, I assigned a trusted relative to distribute the amounts to the suppliers. She distributed the amounts with the help of the head coordinator.

The only amounts I entrusted to my coordinator were those that pertain to the emergency money for the suppliers' lunch. It was not spent because we had more than enough food for everyone during the reception (I had a morning wedding). My coordinator returned the money to my aunt (the trusted relative I assigned to distribute the suppliers' payments).

I am happy with my recent budget yay!!! I over-budgeted apparently for certain things like lights and sounds. I also took out all non essentials like reception gown, souvenirs, fireworks, sparklers and effects, and lowered our budget for shoes LOL -- we are now BACK within budget! YAY!!! =)

What's nice now is that even if we have 250 vs 200 guests, we can already accommodate the extra 50 heads within budget. Or if we can stick with 200 guests, then we can even get the highest buffet package h2b wants to get.

I am also happy that I upgraded to a better videographer from our previous one, despite having to add 35k to our video budget. Kaya naman ng budget hehe

Sarap the feeling of being able to stay within budget!! I hope we can even further cut our expenses!!

Congratulations Chili1113, you were able to cut the non-essentials out of the budget. I did not have sparklers, fireworks or a mobile bar ---kasi we had a morning wedding and also because we are not fond of drinking  at all. I did not have a reception gown either because my mananahi herself told me that her other clients were not able to use their reception gowns as they were in a hurry to start the program.

Sis thats really worst! Ang mawalan ng pera on the day. Sad to say, it do happen. Kakaloka naman! Hahaha. Palagyan ng bulsa ang gown! My friend na groom before, he asked his mananahi to create more pockets dun sa suit nya so he can secure the ampaos. Cool diba. Hahaha.
