Flexilink is a vul, right? May investment component na sya (no need to get a separate mutual fund).

"Fae Amount is 500k lang. Quarterly ako nag babayad ng 3.2k." xxx "much bigger yung face amount."

That is a vul so there is still a fund value which may o may not be higher than 500k also. kung gusto mo ng higher (than 500k) face amount, you can do top ups by paying more than 3.2k quarterly (like pay 3.2k monthly, if your budget allows).

Hi Girls,

sana my sumagot sakin. Meron akong Sun FlexiLink. Fae Amount is 500k lang. Quarterly ako nag babayad ng 3.2k. Parang 30 years ko yata sya babayaran. medyo natatagalan ako. I was thinking If I can convert this to another plan instead like mutual funds of something better and much bigger yung face amount. Also, please recommend kung anung maganda.
Thanks!

Hi Sis, let me answer your questions. For VUL plans, unfortunately kung anong contract mo the face amount will not increase eventhough mag top up ka. So for Flexilink with 500k Face amount (death benefit) it will not increase pa.

Mutual fund is more on investment. No insurance included. Initial payment is 5k for MF.

Before getting this plan you should have asked yourself of what's the purpose of getting this? In your case, if you want higher face amount dapat nawork out nyo eto ni advisor.

What I can advice continue the flexilink with 3.2k/quarterly and get another flexilink plan with a higher face amount (another 500k if you want so all in your have 1M) or Maxilink which doubles your face amount (500k will be 1M)

or

get a traditional insurance no investment component added.

hth  ;)

^Sis, depende kasi yan kung anong napag-usapan nung agent at nung sister mo. So ang computation ng agent will be based sa needs ng client. Para sa retirement ba yan, o para sa college fund ng kids nya, more on investment ba, kasya ba sa budget nya, etc. What s/he has computed for your sister may not be applicable to you. Hindi yan one size fits all. Depende yan sa needs ng client. So kung medyo mahal yun for you, I'm sure kaya kang computan ng mas mababa dyan (not by giving you discounts but by computing a smaller face amount that you can afford).

But just fyi, P36,960 nga ang rate ng 28 f non-smoker for maxiprime na 800k face amount.

Oo nga pala, giving "discounts" or rebates is against our code of ethics.

Commissions are there for a reason. It is our bread and butter. And hindi biro ang service kasi from cradle to grave ang paghahandle ng clients.

I am planning to get Sunlife din.  Ang goal ko talaga is to have an insurance in the event may mangyari kay hubby.  Ayoko ng traditional kase wala benefit unless mamatay yung insured, not sure kung tama yan so far yan lang ang alam ko. So si agent na kausap ko provided some choices and we're considering the Flexilink with CIB.  May nabasa kase kame na pwede mag increase ang premium mo after a year. Meron ba sa inyo naka experience ng increase sa premiums nyo after a year of paying.  Gusto kase ni hubby ma-confirm to before sya mag sign.  TIA.

Hi sisses!

May question lang sana ako sa Sunlife.  I have 2 VULS na Maxilink Prime. I would like to add Critical Illness rider sana. Which one would be better to have:
- Critical Illness na traditional plan (this one increases every 5 years, payable till age 65 ata) OR
- Start Another VUL na with critical illness rider (Sunlife Flexilink VUL) na 10 years to pay

Possible ba na mag add nlang ako ng critical illness rider sa existing Maxilink VULS ko (currently on 5th year sa 1st plan Maxilink and 2nd year sa 2nd plan Maxilink).

^ Hi sis, yes you can add a Critical Illness rider to your existing plan. You should contact your advisor regarding this.

Hi! Sino may Mutual Fund dito kay Sunlife? recently kasi nagreview ako on how to redeem if ever lang naman at para marefresh then sa pagkakaintindi ko doon sa manual na nabasa ko pag back end ka depende sa year kung ilang percent ang sisingilin pag nagredeem ka for example.

            Fund
2013.  30,000
2014   50,000
2015.  150,000
2016.   75,000
2017.   100,000

Sample lang po ito if ever I redeem 75,000 kailagan ilagay ko sa doon sa redeem kung anong year at ilang shares tama po ba?

RE: Critical Illnness

Which is cheaper, stand alone critical illness plan or yung nakaattach sa VUL, like Flexilink, provided same amount (like 500k or 1m). If rider ba tumataas pa din every 5 years?

Also, if yung unang plan is walang rider, after 2 yrs, nagbago isip mo, pwede magattach?

TIA!

^of course cheaper yung standalone kasi walang fund value yun. Term insurance lang sya. Yes, tumataas ang bayad every 5 years dyan, kahit pa as a rider sa VUL. Simply because mas mataas na ang health risk habang tumatanda.

About sa CIB rider (36 illnesses), are the early stages covered or kelangan nasa end stage na or critical talaga for you to claim the benefit?

Kasi sa ibang company may different rider sila for early stage, aside sa critical illness.

^pag CIB, critical talaga kaya sya "Critical Illness Benefit". If you want na covered pati minor illnesses, get Sun Fit and Well instead.

^sis subjective yung tanong mo na kung ok ba yung sun smarter life elite. Kung na-meet yung needs mo, ok sya. Here's the summary of the product:

-Lifetime insurance protection, equal to 200% of the face amount starting on Day 1 until Age 100, as long as the insured lives

-Lifetime guaranteed cash benefits equal to 8% of the face amount starting at the end of the 6th year and every other year thereafter, until Age 100 (Available to the Elite variant only)

-Living benefits in the form of guaranteed cash values and dividends*

-Flexible payment options (5-Pay, 10-Pay or Regular Pay)

-Acceptance age of up to 80 years old

Dito dapat sa pinas ang pirmahan or else it is an invalid contract.
