It is possible na in less than 5 yrs, hindi mo marerefund lahat ng dineposito mo dahil nag incur na yun ng insurance charges and admin fee

Hi sisses! Hehe. Sun Maxilink Prime pala ang kinuha ko.

Most traditional plans I know allow payment via credit card but the same does not apply to VULs which is what Maxilink is.

As far as I know, only Prulife allows credit card payments for VUL.
I THINK Axa and Manulife allows credit card payments for VUL too but I'm not 100% sure.

I have Sun Maxilink Bright plan and mag papay na ako ng last month for my 1st annual premium. Sabi ng financial advisor ko na once i fully paid the last month of my 1st annual premium, all deposits made will going to buy units of the Growth Plus Fund. At first parang ayaw ko i continue to but eventually narealize ko i need this for my future, besides 5 years lang naman aantayin ko to finish this one and consistent naman pag pay ko monthly.

Right now i am planning to get Mutual Funds sa Sunlife, Kamusta mga may Balanced Fund dito? How was it?

^ Congratulations! I think more than anything else, your major take away is being responsible for your future and owning your own decisions. Investing will always include learning and learning is a process.

Just want to make a slight comment on what you said na after fully paying your 1st annual premium, 95% of all your deposits will buy you units of whichever fund you choose  :)

Keep it up!

^ These are the funds available in VULs

Bond Fund
Balanced Fund
Equity Fund
Growth PLUS Fund
Index Fund
Captains Fund

MyFuture Funds:

2025
2030
2035
2040

Choosing a fund depends on:

- investor's risk appetite
- time horizon of goal
- age

In life everything changes: the lifestage and goals.

Meet with your advisor to discuss this, ideally every 6 months or kapag may nabago sa iyong lifestage, finances or goals :)

Hi! I am also new sa MF, i paid 5,000 for the initial payment ko. I'm going to be consistent sa pag invest monthly. Right now bumababa yung market e, I think this is the good time to invest pa.

hi sis @redhead69 @petikspinayinvestor, thank you sa pag reply  :)
Yung 5k initial payment all in na yun? i mean wala ng extra charges or payment na required aside from 1k or more to add in your MF investment.

Depends on the sales load that you are going to choose:

front load: you will be charged before you invest. 2.24% if you will invest less than 100K. Lumiliit kapag lumalaki ang investment. No redemption fee if you do front load

back-end: you will be charged when you redeem your shares depending on which yr
1st yr: 5.6% charge
2nd yr: 4.48%
3rd yr: 3.36%
4th yr: 2.24%
5th yr: 1.12%
6th yr onwards: no fee

once ka lang ma charge kaya you need to choose wisely. kung long term ang goal mo, then back end para no fees when withdrawing after 5 yrs. disiplina ang katapat nito hihi

Nagpa-book na ako ng meeting with one of their SunLife advisors this Sunday and hopefully, everything goes well. Gusto ko na din kasi maging financially healthy since plan ko din mag-build ng sarili kong start-up in 10 years time.  :)

Same tayo Ms. binibininggrue29, and i'm newbie here. Any update about  sapolicy na kinuha mo? Thank you. Gusto ko na din kumuha para sa amin ni hubby, he's 31 and I'm 26(non-smoker pareho)..pero hindi pa ako makapagdecide kung anong type ng VUL ang kukunin namin :o :o

Hi Girls,

sana my sumagot sakin. Meron akong Sun FlexiLink. Fae Amount is 500k lang. Quarterly ako nag babayad ng 3.2k. Parang 30 years ko yata sya babayaran. medyo natatagalan ako. I was thinking If I can convert this to another plan instead like mutual funds of something better and much bigger yung face amount. Also, please recommend kung anung maganda.
Thanks!
