Naku super peak season ang December yung iba nga dito 2 years ang prep e pero super laki talaga ang maitutulong ng GT sayo just like me. kailangan lang talaga na masipag ka magback read para malaman ang reviews sa mga suppliers na mapipili mo. So true.  GT has been a great help since I started planning our 2011 wedding.  Also learned a lot with kiddie party planning (we now have 3 babies).  Planning our 7th wedding this Nov. na

I booked my HMUA Toni Aviles without trial makeup. But then she's had my makeup done several times before and they were all superb. BUT magpapatrial make up pa rin ako (kahit mahal huhu)

Help! I am doing an out of town prenup and with the HMUAs i've asked so far it seems like it's going to cost me an arm and a leg to bring a HMUA along! Gulp! I am obviously not willing since it will cost me more than half of what it cost me to get the photographer if ever :| Parang so unreasonable.

Overnight kasi kami since Ilocos is quite far to travel by land. Im looking for a HMUA who will do at least 3 looks for a whole day shoot (with travel time between venues). Preferably and hopefully below 8k with out of town charges already. Can anyone recommend someone? Going rates for the ones I've asked are 6-12k without out of town fee pa and without room (which i will also shoulder but bigger issue sakin is the high base rate). TIA!

To all brides to be. May tanong lang po ako. Nakipagusap po kasi ako kay Ms. MV regarding sa pagkuha ko sa kanya as my HMUA and flower arrangements na din. Before ko sana siya i-book gusto ko sana magtrial make-up para malaman ko kung maayos sa akin ang make-up (I think every brides to be naman yata gusto mag trial muna bago magbook ng HMUA right?) pero okay naman sa akin nung sinabi niya na hindi talaga siya nagtatrial. Nakita ko naman mga positive reviews regarding her. Ang concern ko lang is sabi niya once na  magustuhan ko na siya, i-book ko siya and magbigay na ko ng down. Binigay na niya sa akin mga infos. Pero panu na? Hindi man lang kami nag-meet or pagusapan in person. Basta magdown lang ako? Ganun po ba talaga? Gusto ko kasi may assurance din po. I hope someone can help me with this. may mga brides kase na ok lang sa kanila na mag-book kahit di pa nami-meet si supplier. ask mo lang si mv kase may karapatan ka naman magtanong dahil potential client ka.
baka di lang upfront na inoffer sa'yo ni mv yung trial option dahil from what i gather may day job sya during weekdays and madalas events naman pag weekend so baka availability concern na din. if you really want to meet her before you book, inform mo lang sya na mas comfortable ka sa ganung setup and maybe you can negotiate a time and date na pwede kayo mag-usap personally.
btw, she will be my HMUA on my prenup & wedding and kampante naman ako sa skills nya kahit yung husband pa lang nya ang nakakausap ko.

basta sis, tip na lang din in general sa mga suppliers, if you want to meet them, don't hesitate to ask.
wala namang limit sa pagtatanong and it's always best to get an answer straight from them instead of getting second-hand info.

Kung particular ka sa HMUA, request mo na lang siya to have a trial session. May mga brides talaga na may hanap sa output o kaya di enough yung portfolio for them that's why they require this prior booking. Magkaiba din kasi ng skin and face type mga babae.
Yung mga hindi particular o may budget constraints ang usually wala na trial. Most feel convinced with feedback or portfolio alone.
Depende talaga sa preference.

You can also request for a schedule to meet up and tell her you want to do transactions in person.
Again, this is a matter of preference. Most couples who book suppliers without meeting them are convinced they can deliver.

^i agree with j.adore. @berryprincessy it will really depend on your preference and your trust and confidence to the supplier. Kami nag-downpayment na agad sa videographer kahit emails pa lang kami naguusap since we believe that he can deliver and he is very good on his craft.

About a month to go na lang for us. We're scheduled to have our interview with the priest on Feb. 14. Haha. Talaga namang V-day pa ni-sched ng parish.

Pag malapit na pala parang bigla pang may naiiisip na hindi pa naaayos. The small details suddenly pop up. Whew!

naexperience ko to ng sobra. only child kasi ako. naghanap na nga kami ng bahay ng husband ko. next year move in na kami sa house nasa village katabi lang ng village kung saan ako nakatira dati. kunin ko na rin mama ko, since mag-isa na lang siya sa bahay.

actually sobrang lungkot ko ng wedding night umiyak ako. sabi ng husband ko "don't worry, gagawa tayo ng paraan. hahanap tayo ng bahay. mag-iipon tayo. kukunin natin si mama." saka lang gumaan ang pakiramdam ko nun.

a month later, naghanap na kami ng house. few weeks ako nagreserve na kami. so excited to have a place that we can call our own.

hahaha! ako naman gusto ko lumayo sa family ko. nasanay kasi ako mag isa since HS--nag-dorm na ako until nagwork ako.

since first year college, nakahiwalay nako sa parents. and even if i'm the only daughter (i have 3 bros), ako pa talaga ang resident overseas. naisip ko nga, baka wala ng iiyak sa wedding namin since sanay na sanay ang parents ko na wala ako hahaha!
