what do you use when you travel your smartphone or real cam?

^ my husband has the Sony DSC-RX100   mejo mahal but we've been using this model for two years na. The newer model has more features but we're happy with this one and not looking to upgrade in the near future.

I see! Ito ata yung katapat ng Canon G7X, I was looking at that before din. Thanks, sis! Will also consider this. Bigat kasi ng SLR tapos lenses, tapos point and shoot lang din naman ako kahit naka-SLR.

^unless you're a professional photographer or it's a mega passion of yours, parang hindi practical to bring a large DSLR when you're traveling. My father-in-law brings a DSLR tapos may different lenses pa but sabi nya hassle talaga bitbitin.  A lot of point and shoot cameras nowadays have great features and won't take up  much space when you travel

Smart phone. Even when I was in Europe, I opted to use my Samsung (not even iPhone ha) phone. Hassle na nga yung magpipicture kapa instead of enjoying the scenery in person, maghihirap pa ako gumamit ng SLR na ang hirap iconfigure. Lumipad na yung ibon di mo pa napicturan hahaha! Baliktad ang effect sakin. Nasayangan ako sa mga napuntahan ko, dahil di ko masyadong gusto ang mga pics na kinalabasan  using the point and shoot cam and smartphone cam. After of course taking in the sights, saka naman ako nagpipic.

I don't have updated instagram or Facebook account because I don't take photos often.  Siguro I want to savor the moments whenever I get the time to travel I forget na talaga kumuha ng pics.  I just bring din my iPhone, I don't have extra hands for an actual camera.

iphone + ricoh gr2 camera. super travel friendly ng ricoh camera ko kasi ang gaan and maliit lang. kaso syempre need mo adapter para sa mga pics kasi d mo maupload agad agad. but having a camera for tour is very handy. lalo na nung nagkorea kami na -17 yung temp. our phones died sa sobrang lamig. kahit bagong charge sya, biglang mag empty bat. buti may camera akong dala na point and shoot so hindi nasayang punta namin kasi mag picture naman talaga ang goal namin. hahaha

I take my smartphone, DSLR & GoPro. Mas ok ng maraming pagpipilian & maraming dala kesa magsisi na bakit d ko dinala dslr, bakit di ko dinala gopro, etc. Nasa isip ko rin na baka mag malfunction yung isa sa mga yan so at least may reserve ako. One time naman I brought all of those kaso when I had to take a pic using the dslr, I realized naiwan ko pala battery nya sa hotel while charging. Good thing I had my GoPro kasi back then my old smartphone was already unreliable.

^You're right about baka magka aberya ang isang gadget. It happened to us, all at the same time pa, malas lang and so we missed a photo op in one famous place. Napabili pa tuloy ng bago. Is the GoPro really reliable and ok? Kasi, maliit lang sya, matagal ko na tinitingnan to as a convenient way to bring. Ok ba sya sa Photos?

Smartphone (Iphone 7+ takes good pictures even at night mode). I just buy a good camera app for editing. And if I have time, I edit photos using Lightroom.

^^I have gopro hero5 session.
Pros:
1.Ok siya for wide angle shot or long shot. No need na mag-effort na umatras ng umatras para lang makuha ang buong view.

2. No need ng underwater case since waterproof siya. Ang linaw ng underwater shot hindi siya grainy.

3. Mabilis magfull-charge.

4. Super handy and hindi mabigat bitbitin

5. Madali mag-edit. Pwede icombine video and photos. May template ng available sa GoPro Quikstory app.

Cons:
1. Hindi ko gusto ang kuha kapag tao ang subject kasi malabo ang face ng tao. Pero kung nature lang ang subject mo maganda siyang gamitin.

2. Medyo maputla ang kulay kaya need ng app/filters (snapseed/lightroom ang gamit ng karamihan) if gusto mo na mas buhay ang kulay. Ako dedma e. Tamad ako magfilter ng photos lalo na kung madami.

3. Yung sa gopro ko di naaalis ang battery unlike sa ibang gopro na pwede gamitan ng extra battery.

Yan pa lang naiisip ko.

Lol, when I was leaving for Italy to study for 4 months... sa NAIA ko pa na-realize na naiwan ko yung camera. hehe.

In fairness sa iPhone 6 ko, nakeri naman with Lightroom!

Agree na always bring at least 2! Back-up yung isa.

I use my phone S7 edge. Yung husband ko ang OA sa mga cameras with matching tripod. Minsan nakakapikon kasama, lalo pag nagpapalit ng lens etc. Nagiging assistant ako at tagahawak ng tripod-lens-camera bag. Haaay! eh hate na hate ko pa mandin yun. Kaya usually may moments na magkasama kami, then papaiwan ako sa isang lugar ang magmeet kami after an hour or two, para magawa nya lahat ng gusto nya sa pagpipic.  I seldom take selfies, gusto ko lang talaga mag snap ng views, pero mas bet ko manood ng mga people around me at chumika, kaya I feel okay na sa akin ang smartphone on my travels. Plus, yung husband ko na bahala sa mga pseudo-prof na pics haha!

Sony A6300 cam and Samsung S7 edge. But mostly I just use my phone. I'm very happy naman with the quality of the pictures taken with S7 edge.
