dcpdane, although your photographer might agree, it might be best not to put them in that position -- if it's discovered in any way that you broke their rules kasi the hotel may well come after them as well as you, and it might have a much more lasting effect for them. What if they get banned from the hotel, etc?

Re the "wedding markup" -- I agree that it can seem absurd, but to me wedding suppliers are the same as any non-essential/luxury good or service. The businesses are free to set their prices, and as potential clients we are free to decide whether or not it's worth it. I do think in some situations it's a case of a few bad apples ruining it for everyone else; I believe most people who are getting married aren't bridezillas/groomzillas but I know a few wedding professionals who have increased prices at least partly to ensure that it's worth their time/sanity to deal with the ones who are.

We will probably shoot sometime in september. Rain or shine. Hahaha! Im also DIYing everything. I already made a moodboard to guide us and the p/v as well. Fiance and i will shop together para medyo coordinated ng konti 😉

Hi dcpdane, sevenstars has a point, it may reflect on the photographers and they may be banned from the hotel. Plus, it would be kind of difficult to hide it, even if you will be just in your room, kasi they will have to bring in their equipment, each person will have 2 or more cameras with him not to mention the varying lenses and the accessories. So medyo mahihirapan silang itago yun. Sorry to be a buzzkill.

yup sisses, i get your point. thanks for sharing i said it rin sa earlier post ko, ayoko ipahamak photog ko and yup rin sa price increases, oo nga naman bakit magiinarte kung hindi afford. minsan lang talaga pag frustrated middle class person ka tapos gusto mo ng magandang wedding, magiging unreasonable ang way of thinking. lol! i was just having a wishful thinking when i first asked the question a few pages back in this thread if may mga nakapag-prenup na sa hotels/condotels na same overnight rate lang ang binayad. that was my original worry: kapag sinabing for a wedding shoot, mag-iiba ang rate. hehe. well, hanap na lang ng iba. haha.

Cheer up sis, I'm sure whatever hotel you choose,  the outcome will be great depende lang yan sa lighting ng room. And ng photog nyo. Kung gaano kalapit yung reflector sa mukha nyo hehe.  And of course ang biggest asset nyo eh yung love nyong 2 ng hubby mo that will reflect sa pics   May nakita nga ako na prenup pic, sa harap ng parang junkyard , pero magali g yung photog nila kasi it was so artistic. 😄😄😄

P.s. by the way, hindi ako nagbibiro tungkol sa reflector, lalo na pag poor lighting. hehe

I showed the links sis Chili posted and the other one given by sis yannuh to the stylist and she'll re-do daw our layouts and make it more apt for an indoor location. I want some outdoor shots pa rin kahit konti kasi if all indoor baka too cramped ang labas?

Same here i want very 'vast' outdoor shots hehe kaya nagpupumilit sa outdoor! We'll schedule the prenup either mid Nov, end Nov or early Dec to increase the chances na hindi uulan If sipagin pa kami. hehe

I love this shoot especially the last layout. Parang bagay na bagay sa weather sa ngayon yung last layout. Indoor and cuddle cuddle lang. Hehe. But I can't believe Henry Hotel's rate for prenup.

sis mdnextdoor i hope for sunshine on your shoot in september i'm so jealous of everyone else who can have their prenup done past august.

sis bonzaigirl i'll tell nga our photog to bring extra big reflectors for our shoot next month hahahah! to get more light in the shots hahaha.

sis sparklingjewel go for a prenup shoot! ako rin initially tinatamad but iniisip ko i want to document this milestone. after the wedding kasi, iba na inaatupag natin and moving onto different things na tayo. try to have yours in november kasi suppliers get super busy na in december diba?

sis tan.denise54 i find the shoot so pretty and classy too! ang galing ng photographer i think it's considered na a splurge if you have a shoot done at henry hotel. i'm sure there are other venues pa naman that are just as pretty and interesting.

kami we're getting a stylist due to creativity constraints hahaha. i have all the time in the world to style our prenup shoot pero baka maging sabog lang labas hehe. but i agree din na not just because a prenup is DIY doesn't make it bad or ugly na agad. after all, the shoot is about documenting the couple at an important milestone.

Sis barbeecue, when do you plan to have your prenup? Is it indoors lang ba? Hassle this weather we're cancelling our shoot tomorrow. According to Accuweather it will rain the whole month of July! So we're moving to August. But next month is such a busy month for us since by then, 3 months na lang. katamad na rin tuloy. Haha!

Sis juwie, push to have it done! I've been following accuweather also, hoping that by staring at their forecast it'll magically change from thunderstorms to sunny weather. The latest we can push back the shoot is second week of august kasi h2b will be super busy na after that. I'm really hoping for some sunshine, kahit konti man lang. My suppliers will be free on august 13 thursday and accuweather says "spotty showers" lang that day. Yes, we're moving it indoors with a few shots nalang outside. Maybe an extra "sunny day" layout nalang, but mostly an indoor theme na gagawin namin. Nothing much we can do about it na, I guess According to accuweather sis mukhang okay august 9 (sunday), 17 (monday) and 18 (tuesday). Really hoping their forecast is close to accurate. 3 months to go nalang for you, I'm genuinely excited!! Naiingit ako pag may nakikita akong weddings - I wanna fast forward na rin to our big day.

Hi mga sis, my wedding's on May 2016 and wala pa din kami nabook na P/V. Question ko lang is how long before the wedding kaya ideal gawin ang prenup? We're planning to have pre nup photo and save the date video sana. Thanks in advance mga sis.

Hi sis, jan2016 ang wedding namin and kakatapos lang ng prenup namin last June. I guess ang ideal eh at least one month before the wedding nagawa nyo na yung prenup and all set na ang save the date video. And depende din siguro sa theme na gusto nyong gawin. For example, gusto nyo ng beach pre nup or outdoor, sched nyo na lang sa mga months na hindi maulan. You still have a lot of time pa naman to discuss with your P/V or with your stylist kung kukuha man kayo.

Thanks sis belle_v2g and sis barbeecue! Yes Accuweather is known to be accurate (hence the name? Lol) so dun ako nag rerely. We re-scheduled nga to either Aug 9 or Aug 23 based on our availability and the weather. Kasi naman kung kelan tag-ulan saka nag iisip mag prenup eh noh? :p

Hi mga sis.  macheck nga ang prediction sa accuweather.  Naka set na ang prenup shoot namin on august 12.  We hope the weather will be good. finger's cross.

Basta mga sis let it go lang kung umulan sa prenup date.  magprepare na lang tayo ng plan b just in case di magparamdam si haring araw.

Sis juwie sinabi mo pa! Naisip ko na nun na we should have the prenup shoot during the summer months but nooo, I chose to dilly-dally. Here I am now, obsessively checking accuweather hahaha!

Sis shrek it's super helpful. Up to 1 month ahead yung forecast. True I agree, basta genuine smiles tayo on the shoot - rain or shine, maganda pa rin yung labas.

aargh sis barbeecue! you and me both! we started planning about more than a year ago.. pero yung prenup shoot ang dinelay namin ng dinelay.  Now we're rushing to get it done since 3 months to go na lang kami... yikes! halos ok na lahat.. except for this one.. we finally decided to do it sa wawa dam.. but because of the weather, we might have to come up with plan b! so malamang august din ang schedule namin for the photoshoot. good luck to us!
