Following this thread.. I plan to serve cocktails din. Most of the time mga relatives ang guilty dito haha.

^^^Chili1113, your cocktail food sounds delish!!! Did you buy your cheese and cold cuts or you got it from the caterer?

^hi rowan! The cheese and cold cuts are all by the venue's caterer =) I was only allowed to bring chips, nuts and chocolates without corkage and so I bought some from S&R. But it was the heavier food items that the guests really enjoyed.

They gave us free corkage also for 1 lechon, but I didn't want to serve it during cocktails as I wanted the menu to be more apt for a formal event. It was so useful though because we served the lechon during the after party for the guests' midnight snack. =)

I want to do merienda cena sana with Filipino snacks like taho, banana cue, turon, sorbeted etc. I am imagining kasi having merienda under the trees outside.

Our wedding ceremony kasi is 3-4pm then dinner probably is at 7. So I want sana to serve food pero I'm also minding the budget.

My guests are mostly close family who I know will enjoy that type of food and also non-Filipinos so it will be a novel experience for them.

What do you think? Or is this idiotic?

Planning to set up a nacho bar or hire a fishball and (dirty) ice cream cart. Our wedding will be on April so feeling ko sakto yung dirty ice cream kasi mainit yun eh. Plus the cocktails will start at 4:30pm. Yun lang, I want to customize Sana yung color ng cart sa motif namin.

We're planning to get Costa Coffee - I believe Starbucks has stopped offering booth services na kasi. Any suggestions? :)

Yung ibang appetizer namin sa Enderun ilalagay namin for cocktails nalang:
- Marinated Salmon with Cucumber Crème Fraiche
- Fried Potato Croquettas with Smoked Ham and Goat Cheese

Tapos syempre kulang yan haha. Since i-eextend ng Enderun ang unli iced tea during cocktail hours, hindi na ako kukuha ng booth na drinks ang sineserve. I'm choosing one from the following food booths na pasok sa budget namin:
- Krispy Kreme (Assorted Doughnuts)
- Auntie Anne's (Pretzels with dips)
- BTIC (Yoghurt Ice Cream)
- Merry Moo (Ice Cream)
- Sebastian's (Ice Cream)

So iniisip namin Auntie Anne's nalang. They will serve freshly baked pretzels so may dala silang oven, warmer, rolling counter.

Actually nung una wala naman kaming plano maglagay ng additional food for cocktails. Iniisip namin nuts/chips nalang.

ncs enderun bride here as well! We have 5 kinds of appetizer from the buffet menu. 3 of those appetizers, plan namin as pass around food during cocktails/pre-dinner time. Then baka mag add na lang kami ng nuts and nachos (hope they dont charge us corkage fee for the salsa dip though)

For our cocktails we served K by Cunanan's:

- pan de sal Bruschetta
- Portobello fries with wasabi dip
- grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup shots
- mini eggs benedict
- assorted bread with creamy pesto butter

Outside the church after San Antonio de Padua Silang, Cavite (after our wedding rites) we served:
- buko tarts
-cold drinks

The trip from church to reception site would take about 30-45 minutes ( but it was shorter since we had escorts). Our guests were happpy, and upto now still gushes na they were so full nung kasal namin. hehe.  Nakakataba ng puso to learn that despite the distance nagpunta sila and happy  :D

Will serve canapes with pates, olives with pimiento, cheeses, crackers at mga small sweets and cookies.  Bibilhin ko lahat sila here from Europe, haha!  Then pabox ng bonggang bongga.

I think it's a good idea! Morning wedding kami and we really want to serve taho (we're still trying to find a supplier pa). Pero super na-excite kami when our coord brought up the idea. I don't think there's anything wrong with traditional Filipino food, especially if you feel na it's something your guests will enjoy. Siguro mind lang the way it's presented? Like smaller portions ng banana cue instead of yung dalawang giant pieces on a stick.

^ Thanks! I spoke to my coord, yes daw it can be arranged, we just need to get permission from the parish to use the plaza after the ceremony.

I had a look at our caterer's "open bar" packages it's P450 per person for 2 hours. It's beer, wine, few selection of cocktails pero the food is just peanuts and chips. Is this the going rate?

Thank you, ncs! I'll contact him. :)

Our wedding will be on December so you sold the Auntie Anne's idea to me with the word "warmer." Haha, if yours too will be on a colder season, go for the pretzels! The ice cream options would go well on a summer wedding. Happy preps, sis!  :)

Happy to be of help cc1818 and pinkonearth! :)
