The fishballs idea is cute! :) I like the DIY nacho station. We were also thinking of DIY tacos but things might get messy. Hehe.

We're planning to serve hot hors d'oeuvres and nuts. I also wanted a coffee bar pero masyado nang mahal. :( My fiance and I are both coffee addicts pa naman.

We had fishballs too! What we did nag kontrata kami ng manong na magfifishballs. Yung typical fishball cart talaga ha. Pinasabay namin sya sa friend namin to the reception. Php 1600 lang yung ilang packs ng fishballs and kikiam and squid/chix balls. Happy pa yung mga bisita kasi when was the last time they had fishballs? Hehe.

I have been to a wedding with a sushi bar as cocktails among other things... we were so hungry from our early lunch so we devoured so much sushi while waiting, in the end, come dinnertime we were still too full to eat everything, no one finished their steak!

^ shucks sayang yung steak! Had a similar experience -- Cibo catered for the wedding so the cocktails were really good!! There was spinach dip, prosciutto, veggie tempura, sangria, etc.

We were so full that we didn't get to enjoy the buffet as much na. Hehe. Not necessarily a bad thing because the cocktail hour only took 1-1.5 hours but it is true na kaya mabusog ang guests sa cocktails :)

hi girls! need your opinion about the party food carts we're planning to have for our lunch reception. we already booked starbucks and krispy kreme booth and we're planning to add 2 or 3 more. someone suggested we should have something salty naman to break the sweetness. we're choosing between the following food carts:

- potato corner or NY fries
- nacho king
- waffle time
- jamaican patty
- takoyaki
- cerealicious

what do you think? which one would you want to fall in line to?

badly need your opinion on this. we want our guests to be full and entertained while they are waiting. im concerned though that it might be too much.

^^potato corner! if cerealicious kasi may starbucks and krispy kreme ka na. Since matamis na yung both kailangan mo ng maalat. pampabalance.

mukhang benta talaga ang fries! isa na siya sa mga sure na. we just have to choose between NY fries and Potato Corner

^ found them here http://kiddie-party.com/k-fcart.htm pero i dont inquire sa kanila, i try to contact directly sa supplier. mas mura pa kasi wala ng patong.

bzbee, my vote is on Potato Corner and Jamaican pattie (if its in smaller servings). Mas sossy nga NY fries but Potato Corner is so simple and good. Haha.

Potato Corner for the win! What my friend did was serve Starbucks for the coffee drinkers (the rental included a container with a spout) and C2 for non-caffeine lovers. For cocktail food, they served cut up sandwiches, flavored biscuits, Chantilly Bars, and Potato Corner. Everything was a hit. We were still able to enjoy the dinner because cocktail food was very light.

I think the key is to serve something that will cater to the different demographics of your guests. Cocktails need not be heavy; it's just something that your guests can enjoy while waitng for the reception proper to start. Pre-reception cocktails also allow your guests to mingle with each other.

How much ba more or less ang cocktails? Shang kasi gave me their price, cheapest nila na package na is 500 per pax. Makaka 80k ako for cocktails pa lang. I know kailangan ko magcocktails, pero namahalan ako.  :P Sana they would allow na pipili na lang ako then pass around na lang.  :o
