hi mga sis! we will be in HK next week feb 12-16. Okay lang kaya mag disneyland ng feb 14? di kaya madami tao? or may event ba sila pag valentine's day?

^hi sis!

Was in Disneyland HK last Feb 14, 2013 and if my memory serves me right, wala naman special event for Valentines day. May free cookie coin lang na binigay in the entrance kasi same week ng Chinese New Year. Actually, for CNY yung free cookie coin and none was given for VD.

Nakakatuwa lang kasi ang daming proposals na nangyari kahit sang area ng DL especially nung after ng fireworks. hehe!

@friendlyneighbor okay naman sis yung 3-in-1 sa GC. Dapat di ka na papipilahin nun sa tickets (pinapila kami pero nung nakakita ako ng ibang staff sinabi ko tapos pinapasok kami). I think pinakamabilis yung Tram going up and down The Peak, and dahil 3 days lang kayo, mas okay yun. Madamme Tussaud's, dun lang naman sa entrance matatagalan kasi kinukuha tickets. Sa wax figures sakto lang, pero kami kasi di naman kilala yung iba kaya dire-diretso lang. LOL.

anyone going to HK this coming feb 13-15? solo traveler ako.. actually wrong date tong nabook ko. Suppose to travel last january pa kaya lang nagexpire passport ko eh. So pinarebook ko na lang hoping na mameet ko college friend sa feb 13 pero nakabook na siya papuntang BKK. arrgghh.. Solo flight ang drama.

This will be my 3rd time in Hongkong.
I've been to Disneyland, The peak, Ocean Park, etc.
Ano kayang pwede gawin or puntahan pa ng mga solo traveler? Plano ko tumingin ng mga jewelries coz i heard mura daw. Plano pa lang naman. hehe. Kaya lang parang nakakailang naman magtanong sa mga Chinese kasi medyo rude sila. Parang Kailangan bilhin mo na yung item eh nagtatanong ka pa lang naman. (Based on experience lang to, o sige narinig ko na rin sa iba..lol)
 Any advice or suggestions?

may mga naka-try na ba sa inyo ng tour with an agency mga sis. my brother suggested na mag-agency na lang kami lalo na we are all busy sa work kaya walang maka-tutok talaga sa paggawa ng itinerary namin. para hindi na rin daw hassle sa pag-commute specially with my mom na medyo hirap maglakad and my 6yr old daughter. baka may mai-suggest din kayong trusted, reliable and affordable tours na agency help po please. TIA

^ mostly kasi dito sis e DIY, especially since madali lang naman mag-commute in HK.. even nung kasama ko senior MIL ko dati and even nung sinama ko 5-month old baby ko last year, DIY pa din.

The only time we got a package from an agency for HK was way back 2005 pa yata, madami kasi kami, 18pax yata kami nun and karamihan first-timers. So para hindi magulo sa pag-aayos ng itinerary, nagpa-customize kami ng package sa isang travel agency (di ko na maalala name though).

Anyway, Rajah Travel is a reputable agency - sa kanila kami nagpa-process ng Japan visa and sa kanila din kami kumukuha ng tickets for EU or US. Or yung mga ibang agencies na accredited ng Japan embassy, I guess they are ok din..

^^Nung first time namin sa HK, nag travel agency rin kami. Sa Las Palmas Travel & Tours kami kumuha sa may Pedro Gil.

Pero yun nga, sobrang dami ng time na nasayang because of that tour. Nakarating kami sa Disneyland after lunch na tapos di pa kami naglalunch nun. Kasi may COMPULSORY jewelry factory tour kada araw bago kayo pumunta sa destination nyo talaga. Unlike pag DIY lang, go there on your own tapos opening pa lang ng mga attractions andun na kayo.

Isa pa, pipicturan pa kayo, that time sa may harbor, tapos they will the photos na nakalagay sa plate for 100 HKD each! haaay...

Kaya na ng 6 yo mag explore, so I suggest DIY. For the itinerary, if you're busy. Just research yung from the airport going to your hotel. Tapos pag andun na kayo, just plan your IT day by day .

personally mas mahirap ang packaged tour. wala kang flexibility, lalo na if may kasama kayong bata ang matanda. if DIY, if pagod either one of them, you can easily alter your itinerary.

April 2 pala is Good Friday. May mga nagsasarado bang tourist spots during holy week?

We only have 8 hours to stay in HK since transit lang kami from Dubai to Manila..

salamat @sis _pink12_ @sis rocky and @sis hunny_ally. sabi kasi ng brother ko who have been there 2 years ago, nakakalito daw ang pag-commute. anyhoo, i'll inquire po sa mga agencies and see kung ano mabibigay nila sa kin.

^^sis rocky sa ngayon nag-aabang abang pa ko ng promo/discounted fares sa cebu pac, April 15-19 sana.  our plan is to go there wednesday night (around 6-7pm) till Sunday (na gabi rin ang flight). sana matulungan nyo ko gumawa ng iti mga sis.

This Feb will be my 8th time in HK but in the past years mala Amazing Race ang HK trip namin dahil mga kasama ko first timers. This time kami lang ni hubby. I got this from other forum, will visit some of these, maybe you can too:

^ tai koo is a nice area. If you have time and would like to visit a park, go to Quarry Bay Park. Nice walking/jogging path by the harbor, me Fireboat Alexander something din (old boat na mini-museum na now), nice breeze esp late afternoon to evening. You can also see Kowloon Bay (Megabox mall, etc) from afar, across the waters. Day or night, ok sya for me.

If you're in Apita, just go out sa may Starbucks side, cross the road going to the park na nasa right side (after bale ng Cityplaza 4). Pagpasok ng park, just look for the overpass na patawid ng Expressway, going to Fireboat. Sa dulo ng walking path, me nagtitinda din ng drinks and snacks. Madami din benches na pwede tambayan.

Mag ne-nature trip na lang kami. Gusto ko rin sis puntahan yung Wisdom Path sa Ngong Ping. Is it worth the effort sis bagaholic_chewy?

^ yan ang di ko sure, kung significantly madami nga ang sarado. My brother and his family live in TaiKoo area. They usually go home dito sa Manila during CNY kasi me school break (uwi din sila this CNY).

Di ko pa nata-try yang Wisdom Path. Once pa nga lang ako umakyat sa Big Buddha sa Ngong Ping e. Hehe. Tamad ako sa mga paakyat na hike, hehe..

Nice din mag-ikot sa Nan Lian Garden and Chi Lin Nunnery. Also 10,000 Buddhas (sa may Sha Tin yata to, me Ikea din around the area). Yung 10,000 Buddhas, sobrang tagal ko na since last nakapunta dun. Dapat nung Nov babalik ako, pero tinamad na, hehe..
