Question, advisable ba mag-Ngong Ping on our last day pag 9:55pm pa flight? Balak namin balikan, since hassle yung luggage. Or mas advisable ba mag-locker na lang? 3 days lang kami eh, parang nakakapanghinayang.

Another question related to that... Sa off-peak seasons, kunwari weekday na hindi holiday, gaano katagal waiting time sa cable car sa Ngong Ping? Tama ba, 2 hours okay na sa Ngong Ping?

thanks sa input nyo sa Golden Crown na rooms.. I might book sa Cosmic Guesthouse na lang.
at least dun mejo mura HKD390/night. 1 double bed and 1 single bed. at least 2 beds na para mejo comfortable kahit maliit yung room nasa labas naman kami parati eh..

Take note yun sa Golden Crown discounted tickets.. dun na lang kami kukuha.. and may nakita ako sa Golden mas dicounted pa yung tickets pag online ka nagpa reserve. yung DL na ticket from 499 , discounted price 420 pag online ka nagpa reserve 410 na lang.. hehe

one more thing from Macau talaga kami mangagaling.. from Macau Airport saan kami feery terminal pupunta and saan ang baba namin sa HK? thank you ulit

^^ I suggest locker na lang kayo sis. Para tipid sa oras. Yung pamasahe nyo para balikan yung luggage, yun na iset aside nyo for locker rental. After Ngong Ping, pwede pa kayo makapag-Citygate before going to airport. Better if may ticket na kayo for NP (bought through GC, CTS or online) kasi me separate pila sa right side na windows. Mas mabilis kahit na peak season.

^ from Macau, if you're staying in TST sa HK, get the ferry to HK na papuntang "China Ferry Terminal" in TST. Walking distance na yan pa-GC.

minnie99, check with your airline if you can do Airport Express Check-in (either at the Kowloon or Hongkong Station). If yours do, get tickets na lang to Airport Express. That's what we did the night before of our scheduled departure. We checked in with Cathay Pacific all our luggages except those clothes we will wear on our last day. Then on our last day (Jan 4), we went up to The Peak before our afternoon flight. Ang dala-dala lang namin were the clothes we wore the previous day plus the sleeping clothes all placed in a duffel bag. Then from The Peak, we took the Airport Express from the Hongkong Station.

lilvanity, my hubby and I traveled with 3 kids (ages 7, 4, and 2 yo). we took the Airport Express from HKIA to the Kowloon station. The AE station is within the HKIA (entrance is near Mc Donald's / Maxims) so definitely easy to find. Paid around HK$220 for a group price of  2 adults. there's an ongoing promo too where kids can ride it for free if they have an octopus card. You can get it at the Customer Service after you get your luggages. In the train, there's a place where you can put your luggages. From the Kowloon Station, we could have availed the free shuttle to our hotel but it doesn't stop exactly in front of ours. We decided instead to shell out $30 + $15 for 2 luggages and stroller for a cab straight to the doorstep of our hotel. Mama Squeak shared a few posts back the link of the list of the hotels of the AE bus stops.

Re traveling with a toddler and a stroller, personally nahirapan kami since we are only two adults. Ang hirap to go up and down the subway stairs with it. Ang ending kasi one adult carries the stroller and guides the 7yo while the other one has to deal with our 4 yo and 2 yo kid.

Some of my friends say minsan lumalamig pa sa February. True ba?

Plano ko sa kid ko layering clothes lang, baka naman pag mag drop ang temperature mapagastos pa ako ng wala sa oras ng clothes namin which is not part of my budget pag nandoon na kami.

Kaloka lang at nagkataon na doon kami sa Chinese New Year, super festive daw ang celebration kaso marami daw taga mainland ang pumupunta sa HK kaya sobrang sikip and siksikan during the parade and fireworks. I dunno if the two senior citizen im tagging along will enjoy it, plus a 5year old kiddo.

I friend of mine who experience CNY there said lahat ng tourist attraction  are all jammed packed and puro singitan pa daw sa pila dahil sa mga taga mainland. CNY is the only time na makapagbakasyon daw ng matagal ang mga locals kaya good luck nalang daw sa akin. AND AVOID TEMPLES DAW kasi lahat daw nagpupunta sa temple for CNY blessings...huhuhuhu.

I'd be happy if some of our sisses here naka experience na ng CNY sa HK share sa akin kung anong ginawa nila, sabi ng iba i can buy seats for the CNY parade pero good luck din daw sa akin kung makakahanap daw ako dahil madali daw maubos.

Yes, Feb 19-24 kami last year malamig pa sobra basta check mo lang weather forecast before going tapos yung mga cousin ko CNY sila last year which fall ng January ata hindi daw ganun kalamig masyado o dahil sa dami ng tao kaya hindi nila na feel

^^We are traveling during CNY din cause that's the only free time we have to travel this year. We'll see lol DL and OP lang naman plan namin puntahan then the rest ikot ikot lang.

Last year naman January (1st week) kami nandun, malamig ang weather.

We were in HK from Dec 30 to Jan 4. On Dec 30 & 31, kaya ko pa yung weather just wearing a thin sweater over a shirt. Our kids were wearing thick bubble jackets over layered shirts but I guess it werent enough for them. My son had fever Dec 30 and 31. By January 2, super lamig talaga that I had to layer clothes. My daughter even developed fever after walking near the harbour early evening. Yesterday, January 4, we went up The Peak around 10-ish. Super lamig even though the sun was out because it was soo windy.

Since we are a big group, feeling ko mahihirapan to stick with the schedule especially sa last day, but I already told them na hihiwalay kami ni bf when it becomes too draggy since we really want to shop pa sa TST. (Personally, I like doing things fast)

Now, our only problem is whether to get the octopus card and top up +50HKD (as I computed, ito magagastos namin) and just ride the bus to and from airport, or get the tourist pass (which would be about 50 HKD more expensive).

So excited! Still not sure what clothes to wear. Since 3 days lang kami, I think I only wanna bring one jacket (the one I'll also be wearing na), but then that means I have to wear thick sweaters. Or, I can wear only one layer underneath and bring a thick jacket (harder to lug around). Hehe. Will look at pics on IG. Lol.

^I'd say go for the bubble jacket sa Uniqlo. Yung may small bag. Compact siya and not bulky when you wear it.

Ganun sinuot ko then I have a very light sweater underneath lang from Zara.

^^Thanks for the idea, sis! Though we have na kasi winter clothes from the US. We went to SFO dati and if I remember correctly, yung temp noon ay naglalaro lang din sa temp ngayon sa HK, so more or less I have an idea na. I just keep seeing pics of people na naka shorts + stockings in January kaya I was wondering kung kaya ba yun talaga?

Lamigin talaga ako so I have to be prepared kaso limited lang din space sa luggage lol.

I just booked our accommodation via airbnb (first-timer) since we're travelling with 2 little boys and 2 nannies.. We opted for the apartment rentals instead. I was initially looking at royal plaza since they have a family room with 2 queen size beds but they won't allow us to book only 1 room. Super expensive naman if 2 rooms-- I didn't want to risk din yun "takas" mahirap na we have toddlers with us. And besides I'm sure super sikip ng 1 room for us.

I hope to have a great time since malamig pa in March. Last time we went Aug 2013 eh super pagod sa super init at lagkit lol

My family and I will be in hk on march 29 to april 3. Ano kayang weather that time? Dati kasi mid march kami medyo malamig pa. Then nung mid april to end of april naman hindi na mashado. Carry ko na magshorts.  i purchased silver magic access cards from hk disneyland hotel so that we can avail the room, resto and merchandise discounts and we can enter the park from march 30 to april 2. 
Here's our itinenary:
March 29: check in at hk disneyland hotel at 12:30pm. Lunch buffet at enchanted garden restaurant. Shopping and dinner at citygate outlet.
MArch 30: disneyland
March 31: buffet breakfast at enchanted garden. Disneyland.
April 1: check out at 11am. 11:30am to 4pm disneyland. Check in at novotel nathan road hotel at 5pm. Dinner at sweet dynasty. Shopping in nathan road.
April 2: shopping in tsim sh tsui. Canton road and harbour city. Mongkok. Lunch at dimsum bar and dinner at macau restaurant.
April 3: shopping in tst. Go to Airport at 6pm.

Thank you for the weather "heads up" for February.

Can we travel from HK to Macau on the 19 to 20 of Feb since its Chinese New Year? Wala naman bang closed na transportation during those dates? And if siksikan ang tao i will not consider going to Macau, we might ikot nalang sa HK.

The last time (June) we went to Macau (from HK) ok naman ang biyahe namin, konti lang ang tao. Kasama ko ang 2 year old namin. But that was June.
