How's the weather in Singapore in July?

Hi sissies! We'll be in SG Oct. 31-Nov. 4. Availed the SQ promo thru BPI cc. No hotel accomodation booked yet. We are 2 familes kasi. 1st- Me, hubby and 6 y/o. 2nd- 2 adults, 13 y/o, 11 y/o at 7 y/o. Medyo nahihirapan maghanap kasi for the 2nd family. I will be basing my hotel booking with them.
I've asked YMCA, but we're still looking for more options since medjo far pa naman. With sissies who have traveled with 4-5 pax where have u booked aside sa YMCA?  And one more thing, Regarding sa Wonder Full Show, is this the MBS light show? Where is the best location to watched it? Thanks super!

We were in SG for 5 days (16-20 March 2015) & we are 6 pax in total (1 adult, 2 senior & 3 children). I’ve booked a room (in a condo) via AirBnb. I’ve noticed kasi given our headcount it is imperative to book two rooms in a hotel. As you know hotel in SG is not that cheap.

The family room that I’ve booked is two station away from Vivo City & neighbour lang namin si 7/11 (open 24 hours). It is a five minute walk to the bus station. The owner of the unit (a family with one kid) is very friendly naman, they even allowed us to use their stove, kettle, microwave, ref. These in return saved me a lot of SG dollars…

WonderFull Show is the MBS light & water show. It is a 13 minute show (with two shows on weekdays 8:30PM & 9:30PM) & mas maraming shows during weekend. If you do not want to get a little wet don’t be near where the show is happening. Kahit naman malayo ka definitely makikita mo pa rin ang show…

sis, please share your experiences of your stay sa condo ha...  kino-consider ko din kasi ito for our group.  halos hindi naman nagkakalayo yung price ng mga nagpaparent ng condo/apartment unit from the hostels.

mga sis, how do you use gothere.sg? sorry noob lang, hindi ko ma gets yung application like how would you know kung gaano kalayo yung tourist spot na ito from your hostel and alike, mga ganon.

We alloted 3 whole days for the itinerary since we have a very late flight on Day 1 and a very early flight on Day 5.

Based from backreading, I came up with this itinerary:

DAY 1 - late night arrival at Changi airport
DAY 2 - Merlion Park - Esplanade - Clark Quay - Makansutra dinner
DAY 3 - USS then Sentosa (watch Wings of Time)
DAY 4 - Orchard - MBS - Chinatown - Gardens by the Bay  (watch lights show)
DAY 5 - early flight back to Manila


Paki-check naman sa mga sis. I'm not sure if magkakalayo ang pinagsama-sama ko hehe.
Suggest na din kayo if may na-miss kami.

Is it a good iti for first-timers who are all in their mid-30s? Alam nyo na kailangan i-consider ang age sa schedule. hehe We're looking at Bugis area to book our accommodation.

Your itinerary is fine pero yung day 4 nyo medyo magkalayo ng konti pero kayang kaya naman through MRT. Suggestion ko is pagdikitin nyo yung MBS at gardens by the day kasi magkatabi na lang yan.

Yung day 2 pala make it Clark Quay > Esplanade > makansutra > Merlion Park. Magkalapit na rin kasi yung last three kaya pinagdikit ko na rin, kayang kaya lakarin kasi magkabilaan na lang yan ng marina. Mga gabi maganda pumunta dun for the light shows.

I wss about to say pwede din isang buong araw nyo puntahan  yung esplanade, gardens by the bay, makansutra, MBS at merlion kasi isang area lang sila. Isang mahabang tulay lang ang pagitan ng mga yan pero syempre di rin practical kasi syempre dahil tourist kayo limited oras nyo at iilan lang pwede nyo mapuntahan at a time.

You can also check gothere.sg para ma-plot nyo yung route nyo ahead of time since july pa naman ang punta nyo.

ang alam ko sa gothere, you will just state your current location and your destination. Then it will show you the possible ways to get to your destination, by bus, train, private car and MRT. It will also show you the fare and length of travel time (approx.). It's really helpful kasi it's accurate.

you can also use it to do a search of establishments within an area, nasa taas ng website yung browse option tapos pili ka na lang ng category. Do a search first like "bugis" then use the browse feature.

Other than those, that's all there is to it for that website. You can get its app version din para sure kung meron kang smartphone.

With AIRBNB sis, kasi I've read sa previous thread kasi na parang bawal ang subrent, so okay naman pala. I will also consider that. We are also considering  sa Festive hotel, kasi malaki iyong Family room nila.

kung mag legoland malaysia kayo mahihirapan na kayo, travel time pa lang lugi na. Unless kabisado nyo na daan then ok why not pero syempre dahil tourist kayo medyo maliligaw-ligaw pa kayo ng konti. Plus, baka mapagkamalan pa kayong jobhunters, dami kasing mga jobhunters sa sg ang gumagamit ng u-turn method from sg to malaysia to extend their visa stay. Pag nahuli kasing ganun ppwede kayo maharang sa immigration so risky.

Yung gothere pala meron din app for android. Check mo na lang.

ok naman itinerary nyo. katamad nga lang maglakad lakad nyan lalo na on day 1 . Yung sa bugis ok na yan dami ka na mabibili dyan for pasalubong PERO iwasan nyo yung SIM LIM SQUARE at all cost, dyan na rin kasi yan sa area na yan. Kung foodtrip, kahit san dyan pwede na, daming mga nagkalat na magandang kainan dyan mismo sa bugis area - just ask for the price first though kasi baka ma-overprice ka.

siguro day 2 na para makapag pahinga pa kayo kasi based sa itinerary nyo diretso pasyal kayo agad ng day 1 tapos hapon pa ang lapag nyo, give and take mga 6pm na kayo makakarating sa hotel nyo tapos sakto lang sa 4 hrs yung destination nyo ng  day 1 kasi syempre you'll still take your time pa na namnamin yung area.

Na-check ko location ng hotel nyo malapit naman na kayo ng bugis. As for the opening time of the place, not really sure kasi kahit ako bihira lang din pumunta dun dati.

hi sisses, i think its ok to stay in condo or hdb via airbnb as long as the unit is walking distance sa mrt or lrt depends also where you're going sisses ok din near the airport kasi you can maximize you last day kasi pwede nyo daanan ang luggages nyo na lang on the way to the airport

teri_28 - if mahilig kayo mag rides, i suggest buy an express pass kasi sayang ang time nyo sa pila sandali lang kayo sa USS
