the first time i tried yoga super tagaktak ang pawis ko!  yung face ko was literally dripping sa pawis  :D  i couldnt understand it nung una.  kasi i go to the gym and attend dance classes.  after an hour of dancing pawis pawis nang konti sa likod pero super tagtag na katawan ko nun.  pati utak ko naalog na kakasayaw.  but when i started doing yoga, ang bagal naman ng mga movements, puros stretching lang naman ang nangyayari.  pero kung pawisan ako buong katawan!  kaya i got hooked sa yoga.  so aside from the dance classes, i also do yoga three times a week.  hinahanap hanap na ng katawan ko yung yoga :)

I agree with you sis. Chaturanga pa lang pawisan na ko sobra. And yes nakaka -adik sya din for me.

@selyado - i tried headstand for the first time with kristine, and magaling sya mag guide on how to do it step by step. so nagawa ko for 10 seconds yata haha

then i tried it again with ashtanga yesterday, super pagod ako sa chaturanga at vinyasa kaya hirap na hirap ako gawin yung headstand haha

si yoga teacher kasi told me na dapat daw may cardio din ako aside from yoga.  so MWF before my yoga class i attend the dance class.  retro, hip hop, modern dance classes MWF, an hour of dance class before yoga.

@snowkeis - i've ben practicing yoga for some months na, mag 1 year na pala hehe, I still use the wall when doing bound headstand, forearmstand or handstands. Although now lumalayo na ako paunti unti. The thing with yoga, don't force it. It will come in due time with continued practice :) Namaste sis.

yes sis. Thank you. :) Good thing about my ashtanga teacher is she never forced us. Headstand pa lang ako and still nasa wall pa din. Where do you practice sis? :)

yung kay kristine (yoga start), walang wall but i didnt get scared. yung sa ashtanga, wala ding wall but super pagod nako to exert effort haha

some teachers kasi pushes you sa position minsan kasi akala mo hanggang dun na lang yung bend mo yun pala kaya pa pala when they pushed you..

like yung binding, i didnt know i can do it until the ashtanga teacher helped me to bind. :)

^si teacher Ria. meron din si KQ kaso mas strict yata sya kaya takot pa kame to attend her class.  ;D i tried vinyasa 2 yesterday and it is challenging din like ashtanga but not as stressful haha mas gusto ko na vinyasa 2

yung mga kasabay namin sa ashtanga magagaling na sila, and we try to keep up with every position kaya hinihingal kame, while sila chill lang hehe sabi nga nung teacher samin "guys this is not a competition" lol

when i checked yung ibang pics ng igobeyond, maraming tao and crowded yung class, sa fairview kasi (the only branch na i get to go to) hindi super dami, hindi pa kame lalagpas sa 10 minsan, unless pag sunday morning. well i attend lang naman sa umaga, so i dunno if mas maraming tao on a different time.

i just think mas ok pag mas konti yung students. hehe

Basta iisa lang naman ang sports spray nila, tapos one scent for women, one for men. :)

ako rin hirap sa one foot standing balance, pero our Indian teacher before taught us to focus on one thing/look at one spot then try not to lose your gaze on that spot para mag balance ka. found his tip super helpful :)

^the reverse prayer pose is a variant chest opener. If you can't extend your wrist behind your back(reverse prayer) you can try rounding your hands into a fist (until the time that your muscles stretch and you can do the asana). It also straightens your back. If you feel na wala kayong stretch sa fists on your back,  you can go try holding both elbows behind you.  If you are doing  a pyramid pose with the reverse prayer pose  (parsvottanasana), it helps to align your back and keep keep it straight, as long as you don't round your shoulders just so your head can reach your knees, then it defeats the purpose.  Try doing the reverse prayer with pyramid pose while maintaining a straight back. Even if your head doesn't reach your shin. Another way to stretch your chest, is to use a strap (if you don't have a yoga strap use an old shirt, your husband's ROTC belt- or any canvas belt- ) Hope this helps. :) Namaste sis. :D
