@OD - sis if you do not want uniformity, maybe you can branch out. Instead of Bikram you can try any hot yoga like hot power yoga, hot vinyasa. Vinyasa flow especially since there are a multitude of poses and its variations. I started with Bikram,  and then branched out to hot power yoga and hot vinyasa. Now I am just doing  regular vinyasa flow. Hindi kasi uso dito sa place namin ang hot yoga since temp can reach upto 40 degrees in summer.

@honeybunny - try forever 21. They have extra small. I always buy during their sale period and have them shipped over. Okay naman. Although I've only bought 1 pair of leggings and and 2 sports bras. I have the XS and ang masasabi ko lang if malaki balakang mo, it might be better to buy the small leggings. Their sports bras differ as well, but kasya naman. I am an average 34B. You can also try Champion sports bras. Not sure how much sya dyan sa Pinas but it's not that expensive here ( again I buy during sale), but it's made in the Phil.so baka may makita ka dyan :)

Thank you sis. Im currently doing Ashtanga Yoga sis. Siguro mga 3 weeks na din, twice a week. Im enjoying it. At first, ang hirap. Have you tried Ashtanga sis?  :)

sorry forgot to reply na. i tried ashtanga basics class pero i find my arms too weak pa rin for the postures na may lifting :/ hopefully in a few months' time lumakas yung arms ko :)

^^thanks sis.. i want to try the clothing muna kasi. the pants, i might go for XS since it is stretchable naman and no, i am not mabalakang sis. it's the opposite. :) hehe i am 30C so most likely XS din ako in sports bra.. :D

^akala ko rin pang beginner, pero halfway through the class may mga pinagawang lifting like yung crow pose, hindi ko pa siya magawa hahaha

regarding outfit, i also buy sports bra sa forever 21, ok kasi yung fit nya. then the usual black leggings lang for pants

@missus O: thanks for your suggestion sis :) Yup, I have been doing that since I like the challenge a vinyasa sequence offers. It's a total body muscle strengthening regimen esply with the chaturangas. ANG hina pa kasi ng core ko and upper body. That's one thing I like about yoga. It's essentially a body weight training with fluidity and also stresses on proper breathing.

@honeybunny: sis, try checking out pinksalmon clothing at Instagram. They have really cool designs for yoga and pole dancing. And they have sizes that I believe will suit your frame. The quality of the material is excellent too. A set of sportsbra and yoga/pole bottoms can be had for 800+ at the very least.

^sa beyond yoga sis here in fairview :)

Yung shoulder stand ba yung nakaangat ang legs? Mine i can put sa floor kaso hindi ko pa kaya nang straight legs. Hehe

Vinyasa is flowy and i find it easier than ashtanga. Sabi nga nung instructor some do vinyasa if they want to rest. Kasi maybe bec it is easier

^hi sis.. this is my first time attending classes so i cannot really comment talaga on the teachers to make comparison. what i can tell you is they are all ok naman, they correct me pag mali position ko and they give yung poses na you can do if u want to rest, which i think is normal talaga since dun sa video i follow at home ganun din. then at the end of the session, pag naka corpse pose na kame, they apply parang ointment sa batok, sa yoga start and vinyasa class, they did that. one teacher even asked kung some are allergic or if they dont want to be touched. first time ko palang natry yung ashtanga, and nung nag corpse pose na kame, i was waiting for a cue when to go on our side and to sit up kaso nakita ko na lang wala na yung isang guy (3 lang kame sa class) and yung friend ko wala na rin umupo na ako na lang naiwan haha

they didnt make me feel intimidated naman and made me comfortable the whole time :)

i availed their unlimited yoga package for 1 month lang. nakapromo 30% that time :)

i still have their aerial class kaso hindi ko pa nasisimulan because of my busy sched. i have 6 months naman to start to use it

^ yup, I have had that kind of minty massage at Savasana/corpse pose. Some can be heavy-handed when it comes to applying the balm and giving a quick rubdown on the neck and shoulders. Instead of ma-relax, mate-tense ka sa bigat ng kamay and sa sakit :D thanks for the insights abt their classes :)

^ I use CleveryogaMat bought from Amazon. Lifetime warranty and it is lightweight. Just not sure if they deliver sa Philippines. Other mats that are really good are Manduka and Gaiam. Although I have to say that Manduka mats are a bit expensive. In saying that though the quality of Manduka mats are quite good. I know someone who had hers for more than 10 years.

Qualities of a good mat :
1. Good grip - you would want a mat wherein you could plant your hands firmly (especially in doing downward dogs for starters) without your hands slipping
2.  Non-skid - you would want a mat that stays put on various floors and not the ones that move when you change your pose. I saw a guy who  had a mat that was moving. It was not funny because he was in front of me. I was so afraid he was going to fall on me.
3.  Thickness - you would want a thick enough mat (6mm) that would cushion your forearms (when doing dolphin pose), or your bum in any seating forward fold, or boat pose. Mats that are more than 6 mm on thickness might be too thick for standing poses or any balancing pose. Avoid mats that have got memory foam because your feet and hands once planted will just sink into the mat, then you will have no cushion between the mat and the floor.
4. Waterproof- you would want a mat that you could clean easily or wipe off, especially practicing asanas would make you sweat buckets and at times our mats become slippery because of our sweat.

Bonus: weight (if you commute you would want a light mat), eco friendly (non PVC- no chemical smell, biodegradeable).

I tried Vinyasa 1 at Igobeyond QC yesterday. It was so much fun. The teacher was nice but he's new daw. His name is Will Fragante. I tried to search his IG hindi ko makita haha. Overall experience was amazing. I will definitely go back and avail their 10 class pass.  :)

the first time i tried yoga super tagaktak ang pawis ko!  yung face ko was literally dripping sa pawis  :D  i couldnt understand it nung una.  kasi i go to the gym and attend dance classes.  after an hour of dancing pawis pawis nang konti sa likod pero super tagtag na katawan ko nun.  pati utak ko naalog na kakasayaw.  but when i started doing yoga, ang bagal naman ng mga movements, puros stretching lang naman ang nangyayari.  pero kung pawisan ako buong katawan!  kaya i got hooked sa yoga.  so aside from the dance classes, i also do yoga three times a week.  hinahanap hanap na ng katawan ko yung yoga :)
