Hi mga sis. newbie here. hndi ko alam bakit hndi napopost yung other replys ko  hahaha
anyway I'm thinking of getting Infinite Events by Mr. and Mrs. as OTD but nakita ko sa package nila na wala sila emcee service. meron kaya silang usually na nire recommend? sino kaya? thanks po!

hi sis mamey, infinite events was included in our shortlisted OTDs and we met Di Anne, she told us that they were former GTalkers and brides na nagform ng wc company because they couldn't get enough of doing wedding preps. I think they will recommend emcees for you hindi lang ako sure kung sinu sinu ang contact nila. But with the reviews I see mukhang okay sila and alaga nila ang brides. So far, wala pa ako naeencounter na bad reviews sa kanila.

Speaking of attire, saw a wedding na pastel colors theme tapos yung OTD team naka bodycon hot pink dresses (at di sexy as in omg). Sakit ulo ng P/V panira sila sa shots.

Hi sis, we were supposed to book Queen, because we just love her. The minute she left us, parang we didn't want to meet anyone anymore. She's quite intimidating at first, but we felt the "This is it" feeling (believe, i didn't know that this will happen when choosing your OTD)! anyway, she's really nice and she really makes it a point to help you by saying that you need to go around and meet other OTDs then decide. Kaya lang, when we were about to book her na, she checked her events for next year, and she was already booked on that day! Believe me when I say na we were really heartbroken! Anyway, you might want to read my friend's blog about Queen.

One super happy Queen David bride here. When we first sw them in action in one of my friends wedding, we noticed that there is something about them that stood out from the rest.  We nevertheless met with some other planners for our wedding just to have a comparison. When we met her finally, na realize namin why her team is different. Queen seems to be a very intelligent and professional planner.  Might be quite intimidating at first but very down to earth pala when you talk to her.  Our guests said that our wedding is a really memorable and happy one.  Almost everyone in our circle booked her din. Same feedback. You'll never go wrong with her. Quite expensive but really worth the peace of mind. Even our suppliers love that group.

We got Zenith Events Management. Sa fair namin sila nakuha kaya 13k lang with host and some freebies. Mabilis naman sila magreply via viber and 1st meeting namin with them next week. Luckily  sila din magcocover sa wedding ng friend ko this november kaya makikita namin pano sila magwork din. Sana maging ok lahat.

^7ten5 events bride here.. ok sila promise.. just give a very very detailed instructions para hindi rin sila mahihirapan. push mo na sila!! mabait yun si sir lowell. ok pa maghost.. I asked hime dati bakit mura kayo? he said.. para mas marami client. yung flower packages niya flower bizz ng aunt nya daw... na minamanage niya rin...  mas makakamura kapa .. alam mo ba.. sa hmua ko, 1500 ang additional head. since kay 7ten5 ko sila binook. 1k lang ang extra head na binayad ko kay 7ten5. mas nagmura pa nga... I didnt ask na nga why baka mapamahal pako hehe...

I availed a Partial Coordination from Events and Elements and they provided a script/sequence of the reception program as well. However, when I booked Darlene, she gave me a workbook and I found hers more precise.

I was wondering if it would be better to "invest" in top tier and highly respected coordinators in the wedding industry. I was thinking that my perhaps it will help keep my suppliers on their toes and feel pressured to give a good output.

I initially considered getting the services of one of the well-known wedding coordinators ("WC") in the country. I then asked my guy kabarkada for feedback, whose sister booked the services of WC for her recent wedding. Friend said outright "NO, super na-stress family ko sa kanya!" I got surprised... I mean, considering the rates that WC is charging, tapos sobrang negative reaction agad si friend. Diba you're getting this supposedly reputable supplier for soaring high costs, tapos you and/or your family will get stressed because of her?! That's crazy!

So, we decided to book the services of a lesser known coordinator (she is also known in some circles, but the higher end ones do not know her yet) because my cousin who booked her OTD services early this year was more than satisfied with her services. My mum and I also witnessed how her team worked, so we booked her for our peace of mind

Lesson: Being one of the most sought after and well-known in the industry does not automatically equate to being reliable. So always seek the feedback of those who have already booked the coordinator's services. And if you've witnessed a very organized wedding, and saw how the coordinator worked, ask mo sino yun. I think that will help

I'll share with you our experience as to how we chose our OTD. Actually, I'm fixing my bffs wedding since she's abroad and she really doesn't have the patience to fix her wedding, so what I do is I inquire with all suppliers, so I'll know their packages, rates and freebies, if any, then I compare. I shortlist it according to what is important to me. For the OTD, we put premium on my/friend's experiences, feedback from friends and GTalkers here, budget, services they presented and lastly their reputation. After shortlisting, then we meet with them just to feel them, how their vibe is and ask a few questions along the way, and at the end of meeting them all, then we selected who we wanted. Budget is also very important, and was about to consider booking a OTD without meeting them, however I insisted my friend that we meet them, and relieved that we did, because we have seen how a coordinator can make or break an event when we went to check the set up of the church they were going to get married in.

Update: I met with Events by Thoffy last weekend. While Thoffy seemed very energetic, OC and knowledgable, my friend thought he was a bit of a showboat (puro salita). Also, his voice is so loud when he talks rinig na rinig na ng lahat. Hassle. I cannot imagine getting him as a host (as he also does hosting). Magiging birthday party o noontime show ang dating ng program.

In the end, fiance and I decided not to book him simply due to class (or the lack thereof). We need someone na hindi nakakahiya makita at marinig ng medyo high-standards guests namin. Yung may humor, pero hindi parang palengkera. He just is not he one for us kahit half price pa ng veterans.

Also, question.. why is Ayie of Imbitado here in the forum? Supplier sya diba, i dont understand bakit pwede...

It really helps for couples to interview the OTD coordinators and ask anything under the sun, para matantiya nila yung competence, know-how and ma-feel nila kung makakasundo nila yung coordinator. The OTD coordinator can make or break a wedding eh.

I know several people doing coordination and I've been a part of it, so you might want to look for feedback of couples who had them, the guests and the people here on GT too.

Mayron kasing magagaling, pero hindi feel ng couples. Mayron namang ang daming negative feedback, nagtake risk yung couple, OK kinalabasan. Naniniwala ako sa chemistry kasi eh, kung hindi niyo ka-jive yung OTD coordinator ng first meeting pa lang, drop him/her, the last thing you want is mapilitan lang kasi "ok naman siya kahit papano."

^sis sparklingjewel... kami din. We do not like boisterous and loud types of hosts hehe  We don't like noontime show or variety show style of hosting =) We prefer more subdued hosts. Ive seen Rj Ledesma host weddings and ok naman.

Also for coordinators, I am looking for someone who can work well discretely. I do not like in you face coordinators that are loud or attention grabbing =) Also how they present themselves is important to me hehe.

hi sis sparklingjewel.. i think ayie is a member na of GT years years ago even before she became a coordinator.  b2b din siya before na dito sa GT nags-seek ng feedback for her suppliers.. so kagaya din natin siya na nandito sa GT for wedding forums..
it just so happened na coordinator na siya ngayon..
btw, she's not our coordinator..
