Thanks sa info about rail passes. I haven't got the chance to research na so I rely na lang here! Leaving in two days (Friday) but Seoul muna kami.  I thought of that Haruka + ICOCA card so confirmed here na that's the best for our trip. Excited!

Can anyone share a 1 day itinerary trip to kyoto? My family and I will be leaving in 2 weeks but i haven't finalized this yet kasi i'm so confused kung saan dapat mauna.

About visa naman, i applied as principal applicant since the travel agency is near my office lang. I just submitted all the required documents for myself, hubby and daughter plus flight itinerary, hotel booking and COE. It's our first time to apply but we're given multiple entry visa even if we did not made a request. ☺️

^ For me, you must visit Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple (make sure to traverse Sannen-zaka) and Gion.  If you still have time, go to Arashiyama.  The bamboo forest and river (a good vantage point is Togetsukyo Bridge) are simply breathtaking.

Kyoto should really be a destination worth a few days.  There are so many beautiful places to explore there.

^thanks sis marose! I agree 1 day tour in kyoto is so bitin and this trip is so unplanned kaya kulang sa time talaga. I want to book na nga for our next trip so we can explore more of kyoto.

Hi guys, we're going to osaka and nagoya this december 26 to jan 3. Any suggested itineraries?

Are there lots of places to see in nagoya? Or 1.5 days is enough na?

I was thinking if we spend new years eve in osaka nalang then go to nagoya on jan 1st morning until jan 3. Nagoya kasi flight namin going back to manila.

^ Sis try to look for the dates for Winter Illumination in Nabano No Sato that's in Nagoya. Kasama sana yun sa itinerary namin last Feb pero hindi namin napuntahan kulang na sa oras.. My friends pictures from there were great!

guys can you suggest a nice itenerary there is 3 senior citizen and 1 child 7 yr old with us...only 7 days....ako first time ko along with my daughter the rest na kasama namin nakapunta na japan although a decade ago    kaya ba kyoto-osaka-tokyo?..,

^^ yes sis, osaka-kyoto or vice versa by shinkansen is only 15 minutes.

kala ko mga sis osaka -kyoto is 1 hour? sure na 15 minutes lang?

I am listing below our revised itinerary. I will appreciate if you could comment on it, kahit yung sa OSAKA-KYOTO leg lang. Please let me know if doable ba or masyadong cramped na. I am okay to add more days to accommodate the sites that we planned to see than to squeeze them all in a day or two. May kasama kasi kaming kids so dapat relaxed pace lang ang gala.

Also, it will be of great help if you could tell me what transportation card/pass (JR pass, etc.) or IC card to get for our intended itinerary. THANKS SO MUCH!

If we have 5-7days between Kyoto and Osaka, is it manageable to stay the whole duration in one city, then just commute for a day or two para maka-tour sa other city? Para sana less hassle sa paglipat-lipat ng tirahan (and pagbitbit ng luggage).

booked ticket from cebupac manila-narita;kix-manila during piso fare last feb. ngayon pa lang nag-estimate na kami ng friend ko para sa december travel namin tokyo-kyoto-osaka (6days) aabot kami 50k. gusto namin ma-experience hispeed train from tokyo to kyoto, makikita ba namin mt fuji? december ang travel namin.

pinag-aaralan ko na paano bumili ng ticket sa USJ online kesa pumila kami. balak namin bumili din ng express pass.

nakapag-book na kami room sa airbnb, backread muna ako para maayos ko itinerary. 1st time namin pareho ng friend ko sa japan kaya excited na kami.

^sis aranses nag shinkansen kami from Kyoto to Tokyo and yes nakita namin Mt. Fuji. may magandang shot kami ng husband ko hehe. sa left side sya. go figure out mo online ticket ng USJ mahirap daw ma figure out.
