^sis recommend ko din HMUA ko, Ms Mhec Gado. 4k yung rate niya for my prenup on location HMUA, 3looks. she is also studying styling right now, so pwedeng siya na rin siguro magstyle sayo. pm me kung interested ka.

hello sis sunsetbeach! andrew sent me his rates last night..mukhang hindi naman siya nagtaas ng rates kahit nakalimutan kong banggitin na nirefer mo siya sa akin..hehe..nafind out ko din na may mga times na kasama siya ni Mary Letim..is there any occasion na nameet mo si Mary Letim? HMUA din siya sa mga events like modeling and wedding..celebrity HMUA din siya pero wala kasi ako masyadong makitang reviews or feedback about her eh..napaka bihira talaga..

You're welcome sis gc_jane yup partner sila ni mary letim. No first hand experience kay mary pero nung nakabook na si andrew sa iba, naghanap ako for my entourage. Nakita ko rin si mary and i asked andrew. Sabi niya, mary's makeup is really clean and he recommends her. Usually if make up si mary, si andrew ang hair. If you'll book mary, sure yun si andrew ang hairstylist na partner niya haha. if you'll book andrew naman for makeup, siya narin ang hair kaya no additional head sa suppliers mo

Good to know sis di siya nagincrease and knowing that, i love him more now because he gives equal rates to clients. (o baka feeling lang ako akala ko mababa fee niya sakin bwahaha) my wedding HMUA is Mayone Bakunawa. Expensive pero okay siya, on time and alagang alaga ka as a bride. Hi sis sparklingjewel. I am sorry to hear nagkaroon na siya ng oot fee now. Siguro marami na siya oot shoot at naisipan narin mag add ng fee for that. But i guess minimal lang? Or maybe you could request na waive na lang? I really dont know sis hindi ako masyado marunong maghaggle ahaha.

will do that sis sunsetbeach..nasa shortlist ko talaga si Mary Letim but since hindi pwedeng magpencil book, kaya ayun naghahanap ako ng iba..nakita ko nga sa ilang ig post ni mary ay yung hair gawa ni andrew kaya ayun..salamat sis sunsetbeach sa feedback ha!.april talaga malalaman kung sino magiging hmua namin..thanks a lot uli!

mine was Nini Marquez too and I love her clean style, saka binabalance niya ang makeup, kapag may drama ang eyes tone down sa lips and other details ng makeup, meron kaseng iba na lahat ang intense or lahat ang pale, but with Nini malinis and balance talaga.. Saka most of the time she posts SDEs kaya mas realistic ang makikita mo sa brides niya, yong iba kase puro photos eh madalas enhanced or filtered na.

and by the way, her rates are affordable :-)

Yay! Loved the feedbacks of nini! i also booked her for my July wedding w/o trial.. Sha ang napili ni h2b with all my shortlisted hmua kasi he wanted the enhanced And fresh look hindi na daw kelangan ng too much make up for me! Haha.. *kilig! <3

Thanks, thanks! I learned a lot from the 5 trial make-ups I had. Like how many extensions I need, etc. I was really clueless before. Plus - having a really good HMUA is a plus on wedding day. I heard wedding day stories na late si HMUA or minadali and I really don't want it to happen to me. Will check on Mary Letim.

i also considered nini marquez, val villarin and ten franco. they have almost the same rates and lots of mixed reviews. what made me finally decide on tippy was the feedback i got from my photographer and videographer. when we met our p/v suppliers, they emphasized the importance of makeup artist for their shots. syempre they will be the ones documenting the event, affected din output nila if chaka yung makeup or late si makeup artist. we asked them for recommendations and both of them highly recommended tippy. they also made kwento their experience working with him. my photog even said he's one of the few makeup artists na binibagay yung makeup depending on the photographer which is a big deal pala. so when i found out he's still free for our wedding and within budget siya, i booked him right away

My photographer advised me to invest in good make up as well since it will define your look in the pictorial. According to him, he can shoot the best angles and give good lighting but he cannot correct a bad make up.. my hmua is not that expensive but looking at the photos, I think she did well. My coordinator who was there that time was impressed too.

^^photographers have a certain "look" na gusto nila. They know which look translates well in photos. It's important the the photographer and HMUA communicate well para maganda tignan sa photos.

^sis what do you mean by binabagay yung makeup depending on the photographer?

from what i understand, some makeup artists have different styles kasi like yung iba makapal mag makeup, yung iba natural lang. photographers also have different styles, some light and bright yung photos, yung iba soft lang, yung iba merong distortion ng colors or mahilig sa black and white, etc. so parang may mga combinations na hindi okay. i cant say the "right or wrong" combinations, so if you're considering this, better ask your p/v siguro
