Yes, we can ask suppliers to put that into writing. When we booked our photographer at the last hour, we verbally explained to the office assistant and specifically indicated in the contract that the main photographer should be there and not just send somebody else to do the job (because I got really praning when the previous one was just going to send his senior photographers because he got sick).

Sis chili, buti na lang talaga you found out about the double booking early on. Pero that was really a blessing in disguise for you!! So happy that everything turned out well after that stressful incident.

For me it depends as well on the type of suppliers.

For photos, videos, and OTD coordinators absolutely not. I think they should be 100% present from start to finish. This is an absolute deal breaker if they double book.

My florist had 2 bookings that day but it's okay with me since they will just take care of the church and entourage bouquets and my bouquet. Medyo sila yung sablay ko nung wedding pero it was not because of the double booking. More of pegs not followed.

I think there are caterers as well who double book their AEs as well so medyo off din ito.

For strings okay lang if it's double booked as long as they arrive on the time alloted.

Yes Ghe also specified exactly that sa contract namin. I told him I worry about these double-booking issues recently and he and Aysa listened and understood.

Is it really that big deal that make up artists should only accept 1 wedding per day? I'm thinking kasi unlike photographers and videographers, their work is not that time consuming naman unless super daming gagawan ng make up from 1 wedding. But if the usual bride plus 2 lang, quick lang naman yun.

Any bride would prefer na solo client siya on her wedding day. To the point stated, they do not charge you cheaper naman for sharing their time. Not all suppliers though, give this opportunity. To them, for as long as they are still able to do their job for you as contracted, they can accommodate other gigs. Unfortunately not all suppliers will agree to give us exclusivity if they are sure they can still deliver. Kasi kita rin nila yun. So i guess both the bride and the supplier have a point. Depends nalang on us what we are willing to accept.

I would like to share a particular example from my wedding as an eye-opener. My HMUA, Eds Go, had 3 brides that day, her 1st calltime was 3am in Manila, then 7am with me in Silang Cavite, and another after lunch in Manila again. I found out that she double-books months before my wedding, because she tried to book someone i know of na same date (di lang natuloy since that bride also didnt want to be double-booked). I was a but turned off when i found out too na hindi ako solo. But i reserved my complaints and hoped she would deliver.

I was Eds' 2nd bride for the day. With a calltime of 7am, her team arrived at 5am. She followed by 6 or 6:30am. She was done with me before 9am, and left right after for her 3rd gig. She did a great job, and her assistants did well with my hair too so i cant complain. The makeup look and hair she did on me was different pa from trial because i requested so. It turned out way better than i thought it would. Bonus nalang if she was there to touch me up, but she really doesnt do the touch-ups na daw and 2nd look for the hair. That is the only thing i could have asked for.

Before i would likely have ranted as well if i was double-booked, but now i realize, depende rin kasi. Not all suppliers who double-book will fail. It doesn't follow. On the other hand, i have a supplier na baka ako lang only client nya for the day pero sablay sya sakin. So yun lang, let's not judge eith absolute finality Siguro be cautious nalang with who you book esp if you know they have several clients on your day, make sure credible enough sila na suppliers. But im just saying, hindi naman total tragedy if this happens to you.

^Agree especially on the last point. At the end of the day it's the credibility of the suppliers. Thus I thank forums like GT and W@W so we can know and learn from other brides' experiences so we can gauge if we are willing to gamble with things like double bookings.

Okay, just to clear everything regarding AK Events, It's a really tough job to coordinate a wedding. You can't control everything that will happen around you. The best they could do is to work around the situation given.

Among a lot of other things, what irated me the most were basically two things. First was their RSVP service. Aside from the obvious wrong grammar, they gave the wrong details of the venue and attire of the guests. We never heard the end of it from our friends and family who received that text. They could have asked me to check the text they would send out or at least double check the details before sending. Due to this, we also decided not to get Kim as our emcee for the reception, which we were supposed to do. Kim had actually already fired the person behind this, due to other brides' complaints, as well. So I appreciate the immediate action to this.

Second was that my bearers walked the aisle without bringing anything! Nothing! Imagine also my horror when they didn't inform me about this even after 2 days, I think, after the wedding, and found out about this when we were looking through pictures! That was the only time I confirmed with Kim and learned about what happened. Yes, they, of course, had a reason why they were not able to distribute the pillows and bible (late entourage, church was in a hurry to star), but I don't think it would even take 1 minute to give the bearers these 3 important things if they did those early on, considering my bearers were already there early. Imagine also the feeling of their parents realizing their sons not carrying anything after reminding and practicing them for this momentous event in their lives, since most of them were doing this for the first time. Hay. Kim already explained and apologized for this, as well.

All else, I think, are already minimal and are given maybe in events such as this. You can't really expect everything to be perfect. The rating I gave just shows how greatly these things affected us and the wedding.

Despite everything, of course, I still thank AK Events and Kim, especially Jaya, for doing their best for us to be able to enjoy our wedding day.

I hope this clarified the concerns about the rating I gave for AK Events.

^Hi sis chingky! Thank you for stating the reason behind your rating with AK Events Nakakakaba kasi yung 6/10 na walang explanation. I wonder what went wrong with their RSVP 'cause everytime I communicate with Kimmy, she conversed very well in English naman with good grammar. Maybe she assigned someone to do it and di nya nacheck bago isend sa mga guests nyo. With regards to your bearers walking down the aisle without holding anything, naku minus points din yun if ever mangyari sa kin lalo na nagpa customize pa naman ako ng wedding accessories tapos hindi din pala makikita sa pictures! Nevertheless, I'm happy that your wedding still turned out well. I've actually watched your wedding photo slideshow sa fb page ng photographer nyo and I saw that you we're genuinely happy sa mga photos Okay na din in a way siguro na late mo na nalaman yung sa bearers kasi baka maka affect pa yun sa mood mo on your wedding day had you known it earlier. Napakahusay ng team ni Kuya Lowell. Laking pasasalamat ko talaga that I decided to get an OTD coordination dahil kung hindi, hindi ko din alam pano tatapusin yung wedding namin dahil sa dami ng palpak na nangyari. Bonus pa na sobrang efficient ng team na nakuha ko. Totoo pala, buhay prinsesa yung treatment nila sa bride. Lahat ng stress at worries ko, ni let-go ko na lang and I let them handle the event and gave them my 100% trust. Prior to our wedding, it was raining really hard. Our wedding was on a Sunday. Saturday pa lang, buhos na ang ulan. We all relied to different weather forecasts and all of them were saying na by Sunday, hinto na, kung meron man mga 5% chance of rain shower lang for at least an hour. So lahat kami nage-expect. But came Sunday afternoon, bumuhos na siya pa unti unti Ceremony was scheduled at 4pm, and I think nag start na umambon nung mga 3:30, kung kelan naka set up na lahat We didn't get a tent although may contact na din si Kuya Lowell na supplier, if ever buhos talaga. Kaso yun nga, umaraw nung umaga tapos biglang umulan kung kelan mag start na yung ceremony. So basa lahat Luckily, huminto din naman so na move lang ng kaunti yung ceremony. Thennnn, after ng ceremony, ulan na naman! Ka-stress!!


Anyway, back to 7ten5 Events.. sulit na sulit talaga. Kahit sobrang mura pa nila nung makuha namin, hindi namin naramdaman na tinipid kami. I have my personal assistant na talaga namang tutok na tutok sakin.

At kagaya nga ng nasabi ko sa isang thread, ang dami man palpak sa wedding, sobrang saya pa din. And mainly because sa dinami dami ng hassle na na experience namin, we managed to let go and enjoy the day.. We trusted our OTD coordinators and thank God, they were able to deliver, even surpassed our expectations

Just something to add about AK's service. As a coordinator, I believe she can't keep putting the blame on suppliers. Instead, she should be used to those, and be able to anticipate, prevent, or work around those events/situations. I guess they tried their best, but they need more experience. And as the owner of this business, she should be the one to take responsibility and not pass the blame to her staff. Though, yes, she apologized several times for these errors already of her staff.

Ask ko lang sana dun sa mga graduate na brides if how much did you spend for suppliers meal? Eto nalang kasi wala sa budget ko.

^150 per head. naka food allowance sila. sa Lunch lang. Dinner din dapat but since madaming sobra ginawa ng coord ko don na pinakain mga suppliers kaya bumalik sakin yung food allowance nila for dinner.
