I recently tried cooking meals from different cuisine, lately nagsubscribe ako kay HotThaiKitchen sa ytube. Kaya napabili ako ng mga thai herbs.

Im sooooo happy nung pumunta kami sa tagaytay nakabili ako ng Kaffir Lime, galangal, Lime, lemon, basil, peppermint!

Yay! sana hindi mamatay. hehe

I am beyond happy to have found this thread.

My future dream is for me and my family to live a self-sustainable lifestyle, such that we don't need to go to the market for our vegetables, maybe sooner or later we'll have our own poultry, we'll have healthy supply of food, basta ganun.

I still don't claim myself as an environmentalist, but I know for sure that I am an environment safety advocate. This is why I have been starting to convert into solar power sourcing on some of our appliances. (Off-Topic), I don't know if I have a green thumb pero for sure wala namang hindi natututunan.

Ang tanong ko sa mga sisses natin dito, anong pwedeng first step to build your own vegetable garden? I am planning to utilize our lot in tagaytay to be our source of large-scale produce in the future and use hydroponics here in manila.

Punta ka if you can find time sis.

@luna laxa,

wow, i didnt know makakabili rin ng plants sa QC Circle! thanks for the info! I was actually thinking of going to the AANI in Taguig, but I'll use your tip and  go to QC instead this weekend since familiar nako sa area. Taguig maybe next week na lang if i find out how to get there.

I plan to buy mint, oregano, thai basil.

I went to QC circle today. was able to buy lemon mint, java mint, spearmint (haha, puro mint!) and thai basil. went to ace hardware and bought ramgo seeds...two kinds of lettuce and bunching onions. also a brick of cocopeat.

medyo nanghinayang ako na puro mint nabili ko, i should've gotten citronella and lemongrass...kaso kasi masyado malalago, eh mag jeep lang ako pauwi.

when i got home, i soaked the cocopeat in water, then mixed it with the garden soil. tinanim ko yung seeds, transplanted the herbs i bought in containers tapos nagtransplant ng tomato seedlings ko.

grabe, di na tuloy ako nakanuod ng wonder woman kanina. hahaha. i just hope mabuhay talaga tong new herbs and seeds.

I bought spearmint ang ganda  after the two weeks sunod sunod na ulan ayun kalahati namatay.

Hello there. Has anyone tried this method?
