So, kasalanan nga nila Cesca, walang contract kasi walang downpayment, as in napaka gullible naman.

Feelingera at Asumera si Cesca, wala silang ginawa kundi itanong sa staff kung available ang Feb. 14, nag punta pa sila nung August daw dala mga stylist niya, all the while ni hindi niya naisip na mag downpayment?? QUE HORROR! 

Kaya pala hindi niya masagot sagot ang tinatanong sa kanya, may pa "in time" pa siya, kasi naman kasalanan nila, they assumed na irereserve sa kanila kahit wala silang downpayment.

IMO, masyadong high and mighty ang tingin nina Cesca sa sarili nila, as if they're owners of Balesin.

Kung birthday parties nga lang at binyag, need mo mag downpayment, wedding pa kaya? Ayayay! 


And I agree dun sa Ria Gamboa, and yung Evana Kalaw, both of them are desperately milking out of this issue, gusto ng limelight.

Kung maka react si Ria Gamboa, supalpal siya sa comment ni Xeng Zulueta, galit na galit siya na akala mo naman nabili niya ang Balesin. tsk tsk.

 I'm gonna play devil's advocate ha, don't kill me: I've been a makeup artist for 15 years & in my experience doing weddings, I never move forward w any reservation without a contract. Ria, as a wedding supplier alam mo na SOP Yan. Yes, while it's very annoying (pet peeve!) that they're going technical by saying "wala namang nag confirm/written agreement" means that there is none. May contract nga ba between the other couple & Balesin? Kasi kung wala, gagamitin talaga Ito as leverage. No contract or proof of reservation (kahit text message na naka save sa phone will suffice!) means whoever f*cked up the booking can simply wash their hands off. You didn't mention Kasi how the other couple got bumped off. AND AND AND the mere fact they pointed out a technicality only means they actually checked before releasing that statement. Now is the time for your friend to show whatever proof they have about getting bumped off. Yung resort Siguro namanangka sa dalawang ilog. There's no way they can accommodate two weddings on valentines day.

Moral lesson of the story:

Your last name is not a guarantee or considered as downpayment.

Its plain and simple, in any business you need to pay downpayment to let the owner know you really wanted to save that place or reserve their services. It is not also bad to "ask" about the how tos of any company on availing their services or getting their places reserved. And not because you're a member of their club you are exempted on the company's SOP on reserving their place.

Para naman kasi silang iba sa SOP in reservation. Kung makaasta kasi high and mighty yun pala, oh well nevermind..

Nakakaloka nga yang Ria Gamboa, baka may komisyon siya na mawawala hahahaha. Kaloka, kung makasabi sa owner na si Bobby Ongpin na "wala kang honor" LOL.

Sa dami ba naman ng staff sa Balesin, so naka computerized yan tiyak, sa computer sila mag be based kung naka block off na ang isang date diba ganun naman?

Kaya natural, nung tumawag si Bobby Ongpin sa isang staff, malamang pagtingin ng staff sa computer eh wala pang naka reserve kasi talaga namang wala pang nag do downpayment, alangan namang I-note nung staff sa computer:

"merong couple na nag ocular vsiit dito at nagtikim tikim ng food at nag feelingera po"

LOL.


May comment akong nabasa na ginagawan daw nila ng issue ang Balesin, para maka discount LOL.

@Antigone, yung cousin ko ikakasal din sa Dec. 28, pero Feb 2014 pa lang naka down na sila at nagpirmahan ng contract.

para sa akin, may mali pa rin talaga ang balesin, or at least yun tao kung sino man nakausap ni cesa tungkol sa wedding details. that person should have informed cesca about the no dp, no reservation policy.or dapat pagkatanggap nila ng tawag mula kay bobby ongpin,  dapat tinawagan nila muna sila cesca para iadvise sa kanila na may ibang couple na balak gawin ang wedding sa araw din iyon, kung pwede magbigay na sila ng dp para maireserve na sa kanila ang lugar.

^ako naman sis, there's no point na tignan pa yung angle na kung may nagkamali na staff sa Balesin, kasi walang hawak na katunayan sina Cesca Litton na pwedeng ipakita na talagang may nagkamali ng booking.

Kumbaga, wala silang ebidensiya na indeed may confirmation na naganap so sorry na lang kina Cesca.

Kaya ako ingat na ingat ako sa ganyan, never akong pumapasok sa ano mang kasunduan ng hindi written, kasi based sa experience na rin, ang verbal nababago, madaling i deny.

Kung ako nga sina Cesca? At sinabi sa akin ng staff na "okay lang po wala kayong downpayment, naka reserved na po sa inyo", naku, hindi ako papayag na hindi nakasulat yan sa papel, at hindi siya pipirma na katunayan sinabi niya yun.

Kaloka!! nagpabalik-balik duon gumastos sa biyahe nila papunta at pabalik, nagdala-dala ng kung sino-sino to check the place, tapos di man lang naisipang magdown para mareserve na yung place sa kanila???  kung ano-ano ng ginawa nila duon sa place, di man lang ginawa muna ang pinaka-importante, ang ireserve ang place?? kaloka talaga!!

re: sa no dp no reservation.....hindi na dapat ineexplain yan.  protocol na yan.  wala namang place na use now pay later, or pay when its convenient for you.  alam na nila dapat yun. no excuse sila duon!!!

I dont think theyre not familiar with No DP. No reservation. Mismo si Litton umamin ilang beses sila nakipagmeeting, di nila naisip na need ng dp? Church nga may DP alam ko iba as early as a year dapat nakapagpabook ka na and reserve, how much more ang reserve. Problem kasi they thought since they ate Kalaws and member no need na ang DP. Even Highlands need ng reservation and dp eh, kahit nga mcdo need. The call Balesin did is just to let them know since they are members but it is couple's fault seriously.

I wonder if the management did forego for Cesca and co. much of the technicalities that usually accompany bookings, like paying the downpayment on a certain date dahil celebs nga.

What I don't get is if neither party has paid the downpayment, why is it that Cesca's was the one that got bumped? Dapat wala pa di ba. Everything should still be up in the air. If they're on equal footing as far as reservations are concerned, bakit automatic na ang cancelled/bumped ay yung kay Cesca? Ongpin and Chiz already said na hindi final ang dates so why cancel Cesca's agad?

And if youre in Cesca's place maiinis ka talaga because even if they say they can hold two weddings on the same day, Cesca's will ultimately play second fiddle to Heart's kung ipipilit nila na same date. It doesn't help either that Heart and Chiz are noncommittal as to whether or not they will have the wedding there whereas Cesca's camp is dead set on it. Lalong naemphasize ang power play.

Ultimately, Balesin's (owner and management) fault for the most part. If Cesca hasn't paid the downpayment, it's because they were soft on her or they didn't follow through her reservation or there's internal miscommunication between owner and management. Kahit kasi sabihin na pencil booking lang sila Cesca, their reservation should've been given priority and their payments handled accordingly if they were the first ones to reserve the venue. Nakatatlong beses na ocular na pala eh hindi man lang siningil ng kahit singkong duling? Balesin dapat nagset ng schedule ng payment for Cesca so she can confirm her booking. Tipong pay at least (refundable or nonrefundable) x amount now so you can reserve the date. Whoever asked later if Feb. 14 is available should've been informed that another couple is already making arrangements with the resort. It's possible din that being a new resort, Balesin's system of handling weddings is not perfect yet. Cesca's camp, the rest of the blame, for being complacent if they banked on good relations with Balesin nga lang. Yan talaga hirap sa atin. People dig holes for themselves kakabigay at kakatanggap/ expect ng favors kung kani-kanino.

^ Good point.  I think lang that by using social media to publicize their disappointment, Cesca and her friends only made themselves look ignorant and foolish.

Na,akatawa tong ria gamboa na to. Heart may have so many haters and bashers pero it doesn't mean na people will believe what people like ria gamboa will say basta basta. Feeling niya siguro sisikat siya sa pakikisawsaw niya.

The fact that cesca and her group has been flying to and fro balesin for the arrangement, humingi muna siya dapat ng contract and pay for any dp required. If i were in her shoes, i would not settle for a verbal agreement and just because i have been here and there doesn't mean na sa akin na yung date talaga.

They have been telling stuff na yan ang nagagawa ng power. Pero come to think of it? Cesca and her party was so confident discussing things without any contract because they are simply assured na sa kanila na yung date na yun without any contract and her h2b is from a known family din. Now who's trying to show power here? Kung hindi sikat na tao sa heart most esp chiz and nagkataon na magkasabay sila sa date na yon, sino sa tingin niyo ang mapagbibigyan. Nagmumukha tuloy katawa tawa si cesca.

Bottomline, wala silang signed contract, no receipt of any downpayment or reservation fee paid. Not confirmed ang booking. Di na kelangan ipaalala sa kanila yun, dapat alam na nila na ganun ang usual policies, esp pag sa venue and church. Yan pa naman pinaka-crucial sa wedding, kaya dapat sinesecure talaga.
Baka nanghinayang yung Ria Gamboa kasi pandagdag nga naman sa portfolio nya as a make-up artist yung Balesin wedding. For sure magaganda pictures na kuha dun. Haha. Jk. Nakakatawa lang na talagang sya pa unang naglabas ng issue, mega-galit and me "wtf" pa sya sa owner. Leveling, Te?

Anyway, moving on.. I'm really curious about what happened to Boy Abunda.. hioe he is well, and sana nga hindi totoo yung napost sa previous thread na he might have an incurable disease..

Because REGARDLESS of all the agreements, etc, call it whatsoever, nakakainis or what, punto is meron bang contract? meron bang Down payment?

Chiz Escudero is very very close to Bobby Ongpin, who owns Balesin. So if Chiz called Ongpin asking kung free ang Balesin for his Feb. 14 wedding, and wala naman talagang naka-reserve on that date, Ongpin will go out of his way to accommodate Chiz.

May fault si Chesca Litton et. al. dito, they should have paid their downpayment and put their reservation in writing. Eh kung nag-ocular nga sila and punta sila ng punta dun, hindi naman ibig sabihin nun na na-reserve na nila yung place na yun for their wedding. It's not a reason na ilang beses na sila nagpunta dun for ocular at gumastos na sila, may duty na yung staff na ireserve sa kanila yung place for the date kung hindi naman sila nagbayad ng downpayment and pumirma ng contract. Malay ng staff kung hindi pa sila nakaka-decide at trip lang nila pumunta-punta dun.
