overvalued para sa akin ang SSI haha, hindi kasa supermarke at starbucks franchise hindi ako nag attempt to buy at IPO; sa 8 peso yung na ang target price for 2015 walang upside ang stock;

been a fan of financial institutions esp. bdo. ang taas nya last 2 weeks ata 95+ now. 101 na. sana marami pambili ng stocks. Minsan lang kasi makapag update.

Naiintriga din ako diyan sa PSPC. On one hand, mababa ang price, mataas ang upside. Technology ang business, kaya may dating. On the other hand, Samsung lang ang client nila, e puros bad news ang Samsung ngayon. Nadala din ang investors sa IPO ng SSI, kaya baka hesitant ang market sa PSPC. Although that could also be good -- people are expecting PSPC to not do well in the first trading day, so it has a big chance to surprise.

Hmm, I wonder where the market will go? Hula, hula, hulahoops.

kaya nga kinakabahan ako kasi ang mga analyst ang projection ay 6900 to 7000 for the year end stocks index eh nasa 7,200-7,300 tayo kaya baka biglang pull out ang mga foreign investments by year end; siguradong pulang pula ang portfolio ko

I stand overvalued ang SSI, ganun din ang PSPC walang good story bakit ko bibilhin

Thanks sis ikaela for the reply on my queries! Nalolost na talaga ko hindi rin kasi ngbabasa ng news! Where do you usually get the news? Anong sites? Kng para sa mga local publicly listed cos? Sa bloomberg kasi masyado malawak thou affected din naman tayo kahit pano nila.. Gusto ko ng magbasa dapat once a day may mabasa ako pra makatulong naman saken.. Tsk tsk.. Ang hawak kong stocks e CHIB, EW at SMC hindi ko na nabantayan yan last year ko pa nabili.. Masyadong mababa na si SMC.. Si CHIB lang ata ang kahit pano consistent.. Tskk..

grabe yung MARC, nung pumasok ako 6.88, ngayon 5.88 na lang sya :-( sa mutual funds kapag ganyan mababa i just wait for the NAVPS na tumaas uli. applicable din ba ito sa stocks? is it ok to just wait it out hanggang sa tumaas uli ang MARC?

how do you know when it's time to "cut your losses"?

^Yes, of course, sis, applicable din sa stocks. But waiting for it to go up is up to you. Do you have the patience to wait? How strong is your conviction in that stock? If you leave your money in a losing stock, you might miss other better opportunities. It might be wiser to take the loss now, then transfer the money to another stock that looks better.

I also thought I'd hold my remaining shares in MARC when nickel prices started to go down, but I saw that I was missing opportunities in IS and LRW. If I hadn't sold, I would've missed earning six figures in the past couple of weeks.

Personally, I cut losses when a stock goes down 5-7% from my average price and I don't really believe in it. I cut at 3-5% if it's total basura. The "believe in it" part is important. If, say, URC or DNL were to drop 5%, it wouldn't faze me.

If I had a base in a stock (my average price is way below than the market price), then it started to go down, I would set a psychological stop up to where I want to protect my profits. Say, a stock has a paper gain of 100k then it started to go down. If it breaches 70k, I would cut loss to protect the remaining profits. In this situation, it is all psychological for me -- no percentages or math. I don't want to lose more than 30k in profits noh.

NEWBIE  to the stockmarket here , sana may mag guide , I know I have to read the posts pero  could someone please tell me how to  start? paano yung process? may demo account na ako sa COL FINANCIAL  but I don't know saan magsisimula to start a real account ano ang iiclick dun sa websites para mkabuy ng shares and all please help .. I have already start mutual fund pero maliit yung gain. please please help me , matagal na akong nagbabasa nito , I wanna start it na talaga eh , if you could atleast give me tips I would really appreciate sana may magreply

Sis Ironlady, kaofficemate ko kasi sya slash friend, actually pareho kaming member dati but since nabibigatan kame sa bayad every month we decided n maghati shineshare ko na lang sa kanya yung sinesend sakin ni BO, so hindi sya legal haha.

May malaking katanungan ako mga sissies. I've been reading a lot of articles regarding SAM and Peso Cost Averaging method, and member rin ako ng TRC. and COL ang broker ko. nag start lang ako last october.

For example lang po ito, I will save 10k per payroll (15th and 30th of the month) so meron akong 20k a month to invest.

sa SAM table naman ay merong 10 companies na pwede maginvest.

1.Ano ang criteria kung anong company ang kukunin mo assuming na lahat sila ay "Continue Buying". Kailangan ba tig 2k each company?

2. Ilan dapat ang bibilhin kong company? and ilan dapat ang iaalot ko sa isang company?

3. Tuwing kelan ako bibili ng stocks? I mean yung date kung kelan, every 15th ba or every 30th? 21st? or tuwing monthsary ba namin ni kumander?

For me, don't just invest in one company. In my experience, i have 3 (Which I think is manageable compared if I have a lot of companies in my portfolio): DNL, SMPH and MER. Diversify your assets din. Don't focus lahat sa banking or real estate something like that. Para in case Red yung isang sector, pwede kang bumawi sa iba.
In terms of the timing of investment, pag Red ang market! That's the time na 'on-sale' ang market. Pero don't wait naman until magred ang market kasi walang makakaalam kelan yun and subject to many factors.
