BPI Investment Funds

^ and better performance with BDO than with BPI (based on my experience). I have my BPI funds just for the convenience of redeeming. I haven't tried online service of BDO. For some reason (I can't remember why), I can't register an account.

^sis, if I'm not mistaken it's called Money-market fund.  I just opened one last week but minimum is 100,000.00 unlike BPI na 10,000.00 lang.  Yes, they don't allow online transactions pa unlike BPI. 

One thing I'm not sure cause i tried to enrol it online so i can view like my BPI UITFs, it was rejected haha.  I have yet to go back to BDO to pick up my COP.  I hope I can still view it online so I can monitor performance.

I don't know where to post this so ilalagay ko na lang siya ditto since this is under BPI. I opened a BPI Special Deposits Account last 2012. Sa pagkakaalala ko this would be automatic roll-over once matapos ang maturity since para siyang TD. Now  hindi ko kinukuha ang interest para derederetso lang. Now hindi na ako based sa Phils when i opened this acct para for investment purposes lang ba. So para siyang open then forget hayaan ko lang na maginterest. Now when hubby went for a quick visit sa pinas kinuha niya mga mails naming na natambak na and I have 3 letter from BPI dated april2014,sept2014 and DEC2014 saying that my account is considered dormant and magstart na silang magcharge nang 300php per month and then when it becomes zero they will close it. That last letter dated dec2014 stated that my acct is considered dormant and I will not be able to access it anymore I have to go to the bank.  so that letter was 2014 and it is now June2015 ang ngayon ko pa lang nababasa.even sa bpi online I can't even login and see it.  So what am I to do? Nakakahinayang naman na mawawala na lang ang money ko

I just did. I'm waiting for their reply. But has anyone been in the same boat as I am? and am I right that the BPI SDA is automatic roll-over?

We had an investment SDA then BPI discontinued the product so the funds were automatically returned to the CA/SA account tagged to it. Letters sa amin more of FYI lang but wala naman dormant notification kasi hindi required na may transactions dun sa investement.

Yung SDA mo ba ay parang checking/savings account? O eto yung investment SDA?

sis j.adore naguluhan ako sa post mo... when I opened it the SDA they gave me a passbook with the account of the SDA on that passbook. for record purposes/history and a certificate. Ang alam ko nga kase wala naman needed na transactions on that investment since the way I understand is that it is similar to a TD. I did not know that they discontinued the product. Wala naman akong nakuhang past letters or info that it was discontinued

I think what you have is like a checking/savings account nga kasi may passbook. Hindi siya investment and very different from what we had.

Ang alam ko, these bank accounts really need activity within 6 months yata from the last recorded activity. Pag wala, they do tag it as dormant and deduct a fee up until maubos yung laman ng account.

For this reason, lahat ng accounts ng mga out of the country family members/relatives namin, may access kaming nasa Pinas. Pag may letter na pinadala na magdormant na, magwithdraw o kaya magdeposit kami within the alotted period.

I suggest you call BPI. Meron naman sila international toll free numbers.

naiiyak naman ako.... I know for some this may not be that big of a money pero para sa akin ipon ko ito

^ how much yun money mo sa SDA. Hindi ba nalipat sa account mo? I used to have SDA but they increased the minimum amount to 500K, so they asked me if I'll add or close it and transfer to my account. Opted to close it.

anyone here know of another email for cust service of bpi? the email expressonline@bpi.com.ph keeps on bouncing back.

Sis mebpa it's about 50k. I haven't received any information about BPI SDA closing through mail or even sa email. so I didn't know. Ang alam ko lang talaga is andun pa sya at patuloy na naro-rollover so I am surprised about these letters. Kailan pa po ba siya na-close?

^around November 2012 yun increase. Not sure if a letter was sent to us. Sa bank kase mismo yun naalala ko na sinabi na mag-increase. Parang nauna yata na nakausap ko yun bank before a letter was ever sent so na-deadma ko yun letter.
