you can just let it sit there, no need to add.

If i have 500,000 cash I wont put all my money in one fund. You need to diversify and practice cost averaging.

^^^ you can let your money sit there or top up  monthly/quarterly/yearly or depende if you have spare cash.Sa BPI pala they have risk appetite test that you can take para malaman or may idea ka if high,moderate or conservative type ka pagdating sa investment.

big factor how much money you have with the risk appetite assessment. for us kase, yun lang yun factor  kaya hindi kame sa aggressive nakapasok that time. we were aware of the risks and okay lang naman samen high-risk investments but since medyo maliit pa money namen hindi kame sa aggressive appetite pasok. 500K yata is still moderately aggressive (just not sure). but you can ask naman if pwede ka i-consider kung saan yun preferred mo (if yun talaga yun gusto mo and aware of the risks) or you can just change that online after a few months and lagay mo kung saan fund mo gusto.

500t rin ilalagay ko sa Equity Value naman. this is for my Health Fund pagtanda.

safe investment is relative. for me "safe" investment is blue chip stocks (since aggressive ako, and nanghihinayang akong kainin ng inflation hard-earned money ko and hindi ko pa naman kelangan ng money na invest ko). nakakatulog ako sa gabi na hindi iniisip kung ano na lagay nya, na kahit bumaba, tataas pa den naman yun. so, in a way, that is "safe" in my case.

why don't you follow suggestion ni sis soulsister na distribute your money.  backread ka na lang den sa mga options mo and sa ibang thread. ikaw lang den makakapagsabi/decide kung saan ka comfortable ilagay money mo.

But, to answer your question, agree with soulsister, I think it's "relatively" safe.

Did back reading because I'm planning to invest in uitf, my choices: BDO or COL. I have ALMF peso bond sa BPI just like one of sisses here medyo mabagal nga ang gain.So I'm thinking if i will redeem some units and open an uitf in BPI pa rin or sa BPI na lang mag-open w/out redeeming my MF.

Kailangan pa rin pala mag fill out ng bagong form kala ko i can enroll online na lang since may MF na ko kaya pala when i tried to apply not eligible ang lumabas.

mga sis patulong naman po paano po ba pag compute ng interest ng bpi advanced at bpi maxi saver halimbawa po meron akong 500K sa advance then ang rate po nya 0.750%. pede pa sample po ng computations at formula kung magkano magiging interest nya sa isang buwan.

Then halimbawa sa maxi saver naman po meron din akong 500K then ang rate po nya ay 0.375% at With 0.5% BONUS p.a. if no withdrawal within a month. pede pa sample po ng computations at formula kung magkano magiging interest nya sa isang buwan. Thanks

^500,000 x 0.0075 / 12 = 312.5 monthly interest (less tax pa yan, not sure how much is the tax)

tulad ngayon nasa 160-170 sa Equity. may itataas pa kaya yun?

No it doesn't matter.
What matters is how fast it goes up/down.
The current "price" doesn't really matter.

yung UITF pala ng BDO is 1% lang per annum ang management fee. sa BPI , 1.5%.

kaso wala ata online services ang UITF ng BDO? tsaka 4days bago ka maka redeem.

sa BPI kasi pwede mo lipat agad sa savings account mo online.
