Epidural or Natural birth?

Twinkle belle, baka kulang yung epid mo kaya may na feel ka.
 Chubby cheeks, yes you can ask for more. They test it out kung hangang what part of you is already numb.

Pero yung nga ang downside ng epid pag nasobrahan naman mahirap umire kasi wala ka talagang na fefeel. Yoh dont know if the effort you're exerting is pushing the baby out. Pero ako nag pa sedate plus epid so mega groggy ako plus epidural pa pero 3 or 4 pushes lang baby ko. 5 mins lang out na or less pa nga. Nag concentrate lang ako imagining im pooping even though i wasnt feeling anything.

Natural birth!! Sa four pregnancies ko, 2 ang natural child birth. Paano kakayanin ang pain pag walang pain relief? Keep yourself moving and upright position all the time. The moment na pinahiga ka sa kama dyan mo mararamdaman ang unbearable pain.

Gravity helps pag pushing stage ka na. Nakaluhod ako when I started pushing my baby last year. It's unconventional but it works for my 2 previous child births.

sis chubbycheeks, nagbigay ulit sila ng gamot. hindi ko lang sure kung may bayad na separate. i'll try to check my bill.

Natural birth eldest ko, I'm going to go for natural birth with the 2nd baby. Covered naman ng insurance ang epidural Kaso takot ako sa needles. Ang laki kaya Nung needle para sa epidural, Mas himatayin pa yata ako dun kesa sa labor pain. Nakatulong ang breathing exercises sa birthing class namin ni hubby before.

Thanks sis ninart! I dont know if i can do natural birth so i told my ob that i will go for epidural in case i can no longer tolerate the pain. Continue praying lang for safe and smooth delivery

i'm planning mag epidural. i want sana natural birth but knowing my very low tolerance sa pain, i'm sure di ko kakayanin.

a friend of mine gave birth parang 2 hours lang sya nag effort. she was brought to the hospital 7cm na sya, then after an hour yata 10cm na. ayun, umiri konti then tapos na. ang swerte.

pag natural birth ba anesthesia free na agad? i think pag epidural di ka naman unconscious and you can still push and all that, di mo lang mararamdaman yung pain? ganun ba yung mga sis?

^ yes, ganun daw ang effect ng epidural, sis. Although i think those who say they want a natural birthing experience mean that they don't want anesthesia. Tama ba?

Mahina rin pain tolerance ko kaya natatakot ako. Takot nga akong operahan since bata pako. Takot rin ako sa dugo.

Oh my, pareho tayo friend. Natatakot ako kasi sabi ni OB sakin, mas okay daw yung conscious ako while giving birth kasi I still needed to push. Pag tulog naman daw ako pag nanganak, chances are, tulog yung baby din dahil sa anes at it would take time gisingin. Mas maganda na yung nasscreen yung baby na gising agad paglabas. Yun nga lang, pain threshold ko e sobrang liit! I had my tetanus vaccine yesterday tapos I had to calm down para lang mainjection-an ako. Ganun kababa to none ang pain tolerance. Hindi ko ma-psyche ang sarili ko na hindi masakit ang panganganak. Sana lang kayanin ko.

Mga sis, if you have high tolerance with pain, go for natural birth. Your OBs will give you sedation naman. After pushing the head, sleep ka na nun with amnestic effect. Ergo, wala ka na maaalala from there on. High tolerance ibig sabihin, high talaga. Matiisin and kaya ang lahat. :-) wala namang namamatay sa labor pains. :-) and shempre mas may push ka kasi nararamdaman mo yung contractions pero if you really have low tolerance sa pain, opt to have epidural anesthesia. Pero yung feeling na kailangan mong mag poop na walang nararamdaman, ganun dapat ang expectation. :-)

Kung ako manganganak, gusto ko yung sedation lang. But of course, I can always request anytime na feeling ko di ko kakayanin.

P.S. if your water broke earlier than usual, mas magiging masakit ang labor. If mga 8cms ka na ang intact pa ang bag of water mo, i think, you can go without epidural. :-)

And another thing, if its your 2nd or up pregnancy, the pushing part will always be shorter.. so baka kaya na. :-)

With epidural, if administered correctly will take the edge off contractions significantly. In my experience, I could still feel when a contraction would happen and push appropriately. Though I've heard others say they were completely numb. Better to talk to your OB and anesthesiologist.

My anesthesiologist only made me numb completely numb from the waist down after baby came out na.

Still contemplating if NSD or epidural. Pwede kaya na half muna or totally walang epidural during labor then magpapatusok after the baby come out para di maramdaman yung pagtatahi?

You can opt to have saddle block. Ask your OB about it. 😌
