Pag special pre-arranged sundo from a kakilala driver, that's when I give bigger tip. Kasi they have to plan their day/rides around you.

Ay never ako nagtip sa uber. Hala.. mas nagtip pa ko sa grab kasi parang nakalagay sa app. To think na mas okay ang uber.

Usually 10-20 pesos ang tip na binibigay ko pag sa ganito. If I'm really happy with the service or maeffort for the driver, 50-100 naman.

Im using uber. Almost same rate lang ang uber and regular taxi. Hassle free pa ang uber sa area ko 😊

^ korek. Minsan nga mas mura pa kasi mga taxi driver wala ng sukli sukli. Yung grab may booking fee pa. tska mas well maintained mga units ng uber.

^this is one of the reasons kung bakit mas gusto ko ang uber kesa sa taxi. madalas ayoko yung smell ng taxi (minsan pati driver) at hindi ko rin gusto yung freshener nila, dumidikit sa damit.

Tried a black car at Uber 3 weeks ago. It was a memorable experience. Nasira kasi yung car namin tapos pinasok sa casa. Tapos yung area namin sobrang remote. Mga 15 minutes din akong naghintay and biglang may nag accept ng request ko. Montero din. Well mantained. Did not give any tips kasi I learned na they receive a LOT at the end of the month and also, sabi ng driver nalulugi lang sila pag kina-cancel yung trip ng nagrequest ng car tapos malapit na sila sa house nung nagrequest.

avid user of Uber. nagamit na namin sya pagpunta ng event/papasundo, hatid s airport. swerte din ako kasi malapit lang kami s bgc, where uber cars frequent. as much as possible ayoko na kasi mag cab dahil sa daming horror stories about riding taxis. for me,safe ang uber. and magalang ang mga drivers. for me, fair ang rate ng Uber (unless may price surge). from office to our house, 80 pesos lang naccharge s akin s uber, pero pag cab, at least 100. minsan kahit 90 pesos lang yung metro, hindi na nagsusukli mg taxi driver 

there was a time pa na mali ang route na dinaanan ng nasakyan ko uber car which made my fare higher. i sent a feedback to their customer service and they gave me refund in two days. nagreflect agad sa credit card yung refund.

 I believe so. Kaya sinasabi nung driver they take note of the name of the users para di na nila pupuntahan next time. Meron silang Facebook page na dun nila shinashare yung mga k*ps na users.

ah talaga?? haha di na rin ako magbibigay ng tip. yey! hehe. kaya pala there were some drivers who refused my tips in the past, i just insisted na tanggapin nila.

malaki nga ba nakukuha nila at the end of the month? kasi parang hindi naman, lalu na kung katulad ko yung mga sumasakay na umiiwas sa surge. may nakausap kami ni hubby before na uber driver at sinabing may quota/minimum sila so parang sa pagkakasabi niya di naman kalakihan ang kita diyan.

nasabi ko lang kasi kung hindi talaga first-hand info, baka kawawa naman yung mga uber drivers. hindi naman porket tinanggihan ang tip ibig sabihin malaki ang kita nila, baka they just feel it isn't right to take the tip. hindi tulad nung mga grabtaxi na medyo makapal at ayaw magsakay kung walang tip. hindi ko nga alam kung bakit may tumatangkilik ng grabtaxi knowing ganyan ang mga drivers doon.

just my 2 cents, kung maganda ang experience ninyo with uber whether malaki ang kita nila dyan or not then why not give a tip diba? it will encourage them more na i-maintain ang standards nila.

@quinone i was told by the uber driver na they are aware na kaya users of Uber use the app kasi they do not want or have a cash on hand kaya they use the app para direcho sa card ang charge.

By the way, they have a Facebook group showing their monthly income. Most of the time, drivers lang talaga yung mga nagddrive ng Uber car and not the owners of the car. Yun ang kwento ha, so yung kita minsan na 40k a month ng 1 uber car, may commission or monthly lang sila from the owner of the car.

That's why I dont give tips anymore.

Comparing GrabTaxi to Uber with the same route and pick-up/destination: P270 sa GrabTaxi ( I did not know there's a promo code) and P330 sa Black Car. Mas prefer ko pa din yung Uber kasi sa GrabTaxi nainis pa yung cab driver kasi traffic. Given na kasi yung traffic sa Metro Manila.

^baka 40K gross? yung friend ko from college decided to drive his own UV express. from what he tells me, he earns 1K+/day net, so baka ganyan talaga kitaan sa transportation. ang sa akin lang, give tips based on experience regardless kung magkano kita nila.

pwede nga na 40k yung gross nila. nachika ko yung GrabCar driver, sabi around 35k daw monthly kita nila. then 15k yung bayad nila sa GrabCar. Okay pa din.
