i have seen the applique na ang ganda pero di pa nakatahi,nainlove nako pero gusto ko lang ayusin yung ibang beads, mine was a full beaded kasi. so may part na sa train na gusto ko ayusin yng beadings. So excited for us. Ang dami pala natin mel orlina brides here.

Inggit ako kasi I decided to go RTW. Di ko na experience yung process of designing and fitting.

Ok lang yun sis lilaflower minsan naisip ko din mag rtw hehe specially di ko pa nafifit yung gown ko. Para ma at ease nako. Nahirapan din ako maghanap ng designer. My friend is the one who convinced me to get mel orlina. I have inquired sa mga high end and sa sobrang busy nila hindi ka nila maentertained minsan dahil dec yung una naming wedding dapat so inisip ko magmid range nalang ako although 100K yung maximum budget na inallot ko naisip ko sayang din. Pwede naman siya ialot ibang bagay. I have inquired kay Patricia Santos kaso parang half beaded lang yung 100K ayaw ko din nung dinesign nya sakin, Si Jazel naman sobrang busy isang sketch lang and ang dami upgrade. Mak tumang designed also for me mura pa siya nun nung di pa siya masyadong sikat kaso hindi padin siya kinadetailed dati half beaded din quote nya sakin for 70K tapos parang princess type yung gown tapos ang layo pa kasi niya.  Gusto ko din magvania pero hindi narin ako nareplyan on time sobrang tagal nagreply nakabook nako. I even wanted to rent an ellie saab dito sa SG pero kasing presyo na siya ng isang gown ni Patricia Santos dyan rent lang yun. Ang dami ko gusto, kaya medyo kabado din specially hindi ko pa nafit yung gown.

When i went to mel sobrang cool niya lang. She even sketched 4 designs for me, kasi 3 enemail niya nauna tapos wala ako napili then nagemail siya sakin yung pang4 nagustuhan ko siya.

That's alright sis! Maganda naman na din ang RTW noh! And most of the custom made designs na nakikita ko are very similar na din sa RTW, kailangan lang talaga ng "this is it moment" and dapat perfect fit and then ok na. Naisip ko din mag RTW eh sa totoo lang, nakakuha lang talaga ako ng good deal sa gown ko kaya nagpa custom made na ako.

I agree that the most important thing in the gown is the FIT!!!! Next is thaat the silhouette must be flattering for your body type.  It really is all about the fit of the gown more than the material and embellishments.

I attended a wedding recently in the province. The bride owns a dress shop in the province, and I was amazed at how her gown turned out. Even if she had no designer for the gown, super nice the fit of her gown! I thought she had it made by some really expensive designer but she just had it sewn in her own shop. But I think she bought the lace abroad though since it was really nice.

I totally agree whether simple lang siya basta maganda fit ok na yun and of course how you carry yourself that day to complete your look.

I had to inform mel orlina about this kasi sa boob part i find it awkward to some brides that she did. But she assured me naman they will adjust accordingly. Meron ba kau similar issues with her? or ako lang nakakapansin?

^I so agree on that sis. Choose a gown that flatters your body type/figure. I'm slender and not ma-balakang. I fell inlove with a mermaid cut but when I tried it, it didn't look good on me. When I tried princess/ball/A line, they perfectly fit for my body type. So I opted for a princess wedding dress ☺️

Sis okay lang yun. Mas mabuti nga yun kasi on the onset makikita mo na kung okay ba or not yung fit sayo at kung bagay na yung cut. As our sissies said, yung important is maganda yung design and yung fit sayo.

Sis Lots-o wala naman ako issue sa boob part kasi wala naman ako boobs. hahahaha!!!Pero you're right she is cool. i just showed her my peg and unang sketch palang nagustuhan ko na, gustong gusto ko na. Initial budget ko for my gown was 45k pero gustong gusto ko talaga si Mel Orlina, matagal ko na siya finafollow sa IG at FB, kaya pinagbigyan nalang ako ni h2b. tee hee!

I feel like I missed out lang on working with a designer and having a custom gown. Pero at the same time, wala talaga akong patience to go back and forth and I'm overseas.

^^ Baligtad tayo, ako naman I really wanted to go RTW because I like the security of knowing exactly what my dress will look like sa start pa lang. Unfortunately, the one dress I found that I liked was just way out of budget.

Vania Romoff's rates are a bit steep nga, but I wanted a dress with no embellishments (no beads, no lace) and she does that really well so to me it's worth it naman (and it ended up being half the price of the RTW dress that I almost bought).

^Sis Lots-o oo nga buti nalang supportive siya hahaah!! Sige sis update ka! AKo matagal pa kasi July2017 pa ako. March 2017 pa ang first fitting ko hahaha.. maaga ako nagbook kasi baka maabutan ang ng increase nila ng rates.

My friend and I noticed that too, that there's something off with the boobs area of Mel Orlina gowns. I dont know if it's her cut of the sweetheart neckline or the chest just looks stiff...

Had my 2nd fitting with my gown designer Claiza Bihasa, it is much better compared to my
First fitting! Honestly, slightly stressed at what the gown will look at.

Be very honest with your designer because you only wear bridal gown once so it has to be perfect!
We kind of change beadings and compromised so now mga 80% happy with the fit. 

Hopefully it goes very will until the final fitting! Pm me sisses to those who want to see her work but

i'm a Mel Orlina bride! Had the best time working with Mel and her assistants. i was always looking forward to our monthly fittings because i saw how my gown turned more and more beautiful as we approached the wedding day. i must say it adds so much fun and excitement to the whole wedding planning experience. the gown was super, duper beautiful, i couldn't ask for anything more. the materials na ginamit pansin mo talaga na maganda yung quality. on the day of our wedding, 2 of her assistants came to help me dress up. they also taught my bridal assistant how to do the 2nd look of my gown - yes, i had a second look pa! it was a last minute request and pinagbigyan naman ako ni mel without additional fee. Mel may seem masungit to others pero i really like her. she's the no-b******t kind of person. she tells you how it is, if hindi bagay or pag panget, so if maganda, maniniwala ka na talaga. i prefer working with those kind of people kaysa yung oo lang ng oo, sugar coating everything para lang masunod yung gusto mo kahit hindi naman pala okay. if i had to do it all again, i'd choose Mel Orlina every time!

^Yes sis, gown fitting is really fun, highlight ng planning haha! Makikita mo kasi yung unti unting nabubuo yung dream gown mo. Then nakakatuwa din pag nakikita mo yung reactions ng ibang tao pag nakikita ka sa sinusukat mong gown, parang kung nagagandahan na sila now pano pa kung completely finished na and you're completely made up na tee hee!!
