Hi girls!

After back reading, may mega mention of rings being made in HK. Not sure if I just missed it while looking through the replies, but has anyone tried sourcing their rings from HK directly? Thanks in advance!!!

the feels sis! haha! anytime pwede na namin kunin. excited na ako but si fiancé said its too early. I keep on telling him naman na we better be early rather than sorry! XD

Its ok to be early, we collected ours 6 months ahead and we just keep it inside the package that the jeweller gave us.

^When we got our ring last November 2014, hindi lang titig kundi panay ang sukat namin ni ex bf now husband. Our wedding was last January 2015. Grabe ang feeling so kilig kami pareho.

Hi sis, it was me. My e-ring was made in HK by my fiance's trusted family jeweller, better daw kasi doon yung 18k gold and craftsmanship. So for our wedding bands, sa kanya rin kami lumapit as my fiance refuses to have me buy from the bridal fair stalls (where we cannot tell the quality of the stones or gold). Mas mahal yung band quote samin compared to getting locally (double actually) kaya pinag-iisipan ko padin if its worth the once in a lifetime investment, or if we'll get cheap wedding bands locally and then upgrade every 10 years or so...

How many days resizing ng rings sa Mayfair?? I tried calling them pero hindi ko maintindihan yung sumagot ng phone nila.

Got our wedding ring from Japan. It was made by my fiance's friend na isang jewerly expert and maker sa Japan. Siya din gumawa ng e-ring namin. Gusto kasi ni fiancee platinum made ang ring, kasi its better daw than 18k gold. mas matigas at matibay. Di basta-basta nadedeform at kahit nagagasgasan, di daw nababawasan ang karat. Yung wedding ring namin, sarili naming design, each details have meaning and tells our love story. kakakilig lang...

we got our rings in SG, and it was laser engraving.  for my ring, it's hubby's name then wedding date. for his, it's my name then wedding date.

Thanks sis! I agree, sometimes napapaisip ako kasi the cost will justify the quality naman but then gastos is gastos :/ hope you and your fiance decide soon! I'm still discussing with mine haha

^Sis di ko kasi naisip at first that we can upgrade naman the rings in the future---what if i get bigger kasi, it wont fit me as well na, hassle pa magparesize. Or what if i want a different design naman or better stones.. haha it was my fiance's idea. If we get  the local rings now, may option pa to upgrade in the future as we reach certain milestones, to get better rings. If we get mahal rings now palang, then baka not an option na to upgrade in the future regardless. The first idea kinda excites me, hehe. At the same time parang im scared narin to wear an expensive wedding band on top of the e-ring... which of course will be worn everyday if not most days.. so option nga ang just-right na wedding band as opposed to an expensive one. As of now we're going with this

Korek sis,! Yung amin nasa vault nila MIL. Hahaha. Iwas gasgas kakasukat!

Sa min naman ni htb, we choose na ring na medyo maluwag but hindi madaling matanggal sa finger.
We will put it sa left ring finger para kung sisikip man yung rings sa amin eh dahil sa pagtaba. Right handed kasi kami pareho and if we will put it sa right ring finger, mas malaki ang size kasi dominant hand natin works more than the other side. 

Bottomline is, hindi namin inisip na mag uupgrade pa kami or magpapalit ng rings. We want our 1st wedding rings to  last  however, we have free upgrade ng wedding rings naman, basta same price nung wedding bands. And that would be within 5 years after we purchase it.

^yung sa amin yung name ni hubby space then infinity symbol space name ko space then yung wedding date namin

thanks to sis sparklingjewel's idea. oo nga naman, good thing pala na we bought our rings locally. baka nga naman the time will come na tumaba fingers natin, we can always go back to the jeweller to have it resized, cleaned, etc.

i hope my fiance doesn't forget to have our initial wedding band order cancelled. Hehe we might end up with two sets of wedding bands! Lol. June na pala and June sya dapat papagawa in HK!
